A_Haze_THAI420 Stretching and tightening We’ve reached the stage of adjusting the lights to 12;12 hours a day for the first time on June 7th, after wasting 3 full months on leaf production TT. Now the scrog net is working at full capacity, and those little buds are starting to shoot up quickly during the first week of flowering. *****(In the first 1-3 weeks of flowering, your plants will stretch and grow tall rapidly. If you have height issues during this time, you can perform LST or Scrog just like during the leaf stage.)***** During the week, I started to notice the bottom right plant showing signs of distress at the leaf position, indicating a nutrient deficiency and overwatering. The leaf tips are curling and rolling inwards. *****(During this time, your plants will be very aggressive, so you need to monitor your yield closely.)***** Week 1 flowering Note -Seed unknown -Tent 100x100x200 - Light LED QB288 240W+ HLG 65W

A_Haze_THAI420 Week 2 flowering Note - Remove 2 plants growing pollen sacs instead of pistils (Male). Auto Flowering Northern Light x Mini Blue and Male GG4 - Lollipopping 30% "Week of sadness TT" Kill the boy/Lollipopping/ The tent is spacious again - Over the past week, the plants have entered the stretching phase and started to clearly show their sex, and as you can see, I have 2 boys. (Actually, I should only count 1 because this Auto is just a seed germination experiment, but it grew really fast.) What are we waiting for? Just cut them, since I don’t want to make seeds for breeding or to expand to the next round. I’ll wait for clones instead. - Let’s do some Lollipopping. It simulates the leaf shedding of the plant during the flowering stage, where most of the energy needs to go to the flowers rather than the leaves. Naturally, the plant will gradually yellow and wilt slowly from the bottom up. So we cut it back first to enhance the efficiency of feeding the flowers. Be careful not to overdo it; keep some leaves to ensure there’s enough for photosynthesis and to have a backup in case of any mistakes in the future. (The lollipopping technique involves cutting the leaves of the plant from the bottom up, leaving only the flower parts for the future, which makes it look like a lollipop ^^ hence the name.)

A_Haze_THAI420 Weeks 16 Flowering Weeks 3 Note - Advanced Base Nutrients out of my stock again. - Change Nutrient into (Super bud) bloom and Organic set. - Remove net SCROG because the plants is woody. - The smell increases - Buds getting dense and bigger. - Too much humidity and temperature Nutrients are out of stock / Rain is starting to fall more frequently In the third week of flowering, my usual Bear nutrient is out of stock, and I have to wait for the product for 15 days. This is bad, I need to fix the situation urgently. If I just leave it for 2 weeks, they will definitely wilt. So I decided to buy the Super Bud bloom nutrient set to use (as shown in the picture, I've been using it for a week and the plants look good). However, the nutrient mixture according to the schedule provided by the store has a lower concentration than what they said (the chart says 1600ppm, but I measured 800ppm when mixed according to the schedule). But okay, the kids are still doing beautifully. I'll check on them mid-week and add a bit more if needed. Everything is going well, all the plants look good. The only issue is that the temperature in our area is swinging quite a bit. Before it rains, it gets really hot, like 33C++, and when it rains, it drops a bit, but the humidity goes up to 80%+++. If I leave it like this, Rama will definitely pay us a visit, which we hope won't happen!

A_Haze_THAI420 Weeks 17 Flowering Weeks 4 Note - Advanced base nutrients out of my stock weeks 2. - Change nutrient into (Super bud) bloom and organic set weeks 2. - Remove some leaf in shadow. (Lollipopping 10%) - Remove little pistils because I don't like popcorn. (Pruning in flower to increase yield) - Move tent into bedroom because now is crazy rainy season in Thailand/ Hope the humidity is lower. (And wait for new air conditioner) - Increases of smell. - Buds getting dense and bigger. - The color buds of each plant starts to differ. (2 Purple and 1 Green) ???? Cutting small flower pistils/ Moving the tent to avoid humidity/ Colors starting to differ - It's the second week using the new fertilizer, and this week I doubled the dose because last week the ppm was lower than it should be. The kids still look healthy, so I decided to cut off another 10% of the lower leaves + the tiny buds that are growing at the bottom because I don't want them to compete for nutrients with the top buds. - This week it rained for 3-4 days straight, and the humidity in the tent shot up to 84%. Oh man, I'm stressed. What should I do? So I decided to move the tent from its original position into the bedroom. I hope the humidity will drop a bit, but anyway, I still have to wait for the new air conditioner for about another week. However, since moving it into a closed room, the humidity has started to decrease a bit; it's currently at 65% before the new AC is installed. "Hurry up, I'm afraid the plants will suffer." - The buds are getting bigger, but what's becoming more and more noticeable is that the color and leaves of the buds are starting to differ. Two plants are coming out purple, while the other one is coming out green. I'm not sure why this is happening (the seeds came from the same bud, so it's confusing). It might be due to the strain or nutrients. I'll look for answers. Waiting, waiting for the new air conditioner with bated breath.

A_Haze_THAI420 Weeks 18 Flowering Weeks 5 Note - Advanced base nutrients is back. - Increase in smell. - Buds getting dense and bigger. - The color of the buds of each plant starts to differ. (2 Purple and 1 Green) ???? - The new air conditioner has arrived. - Humidity is down to 50%. - Temperature down to 26C. - Began to notice small trichomes with the naked eye. Feeling good.....the nutrients are back / the new AC has arrived. After moving the tent into the bedroom, good news has been coming in steadily. Starting from last week, it rained for only 2 days and not heavily, so the humidity in the tent is still manageable. The nutrients are back, and I went all out with 7 types. By the end of the week, I started to see some slight tip burn 😂 I actually expected it, but I'm secretly pleased that it's just a little tip burn; it's manageable. Trichomes are starting to be more visible to the naked eye around the pistils. The best news is that the new AC has arrived, solving all the problems I was worried about before, like the high temperature and the extremely high humidity during flowering. That's it 😂😂 Now the humidity, which normally without AC is 65%, has dropped to 45%. It's comfortably cool at 24-26C. Next week, I should definitely see noticeable improvements. Can't wait!

The preliminary conclusion comes from the strain rather than nutrients or care or other conditions. Everything is going smoothly. Trichomes are starting to be more visible to the naked eye, especially around the pistils. The buds look much fatter now instead of stretching like in the first 1-4 weeks (compared to the last three weeks). But they are still young; I might need to give them another 1-2 weeks before I can harvest.

A_Haze_THAI420 Weeks 20 Flowering Weeks 7 Note - Burning leaves in buds - Buds getting dense and bigger. - Green buds increases of smell. - Purple buds Mild smell. - Began to small trichome with the naked eye - Reducing nitrogen into plants with purple buds. Reducing nutrients / Leaves in buds starting to burn As for the color of the buds, that's settled, I understand now, but it's time to stress about too much fertilizer, causing the leaves to burn. And the problem is, I think each plant is definitely not going to finish at the same time. One plant has fewer buds but very large ones, seems to be ahead of the others, while another has a lot of buds but looks like it's slower than the one with fewer and larger buds. It might be time to reduce the nutrients and move into the flush next week. Almost done, hoping for a nice finish!

A_Haze_THAI420 Weeks 21 Flowering Weeks 8 Note - Time to flush. - Buds getting dense and bigger. - Green buds increasing in smell. - Began to see small trichomes with the naked eye. - Trichomes began to change color to milky. Check nutrients / Time to flush Trichomes are starting to change color to more and more cloudy, it's time to check for residual nutrients in the soil. And when I checked, wow, the nutrients from the water flowing out of the pot were still very high at 2500-3000ppm. It's time to remove the residual nutrients by giving plain water for the whole week. I watered a lot, doubling the amount until it flowed out of the pot, then switched to watering every other day instead of every day, to let the plants use up the nutrients in the soil and force the plants to use the reserve nutrients in the plant to enhance the efficiency of the trichomes, flowers, aroma, and flavor. The smell of each flower is starting to increase, sticky, and importantly, each bud is starting to get too heavy that I have to use strings to support them so they don't fall over. I can hardly wait, I really want to taste it!

It's a good time, 10:20 PM When the little one is ready, we are ready! 1 in 3 of the girls is ready, so confused Came before the neighbors about a week early, trichomes are starting to turn dark red About 30% of the trichomes in total. What are we waiting for? Let's cut! After flushing the nutrients for about 2 weeks, I only cut the main branches Didn’t cut the whole plant at once because the plant is quite tall and the drying box is very short Did a wet trim to remove the big leaves completely due to the buds being very dense Wet trimming will help the buds ventilate well and dry faster As for the other two plants, I have to wait and check their status day by day. The other plants will continue to flush nutrients Checking the readiness of the trichomes for the next cut Excited to see how it will turn out once it's dry!

The buds keep looking bigger and bigger, branching out like an alien right now. So fluffy that they don't even look like regular buds anymore. Each bud needs to be tied up with string; otherwise, the branches will bend and get stuck against the tent walls. The trichomes are still mostly clear. When will it be done, my friend? I’ll be patient this time; I won’t rush to cut like the first one.

@A_Haze_THAI420, it's molasses, my friend. It's thick and dark brown, not granulated sugar, haha 55555. I tried looking for nutrient information, and there's a lot of varied data, but what matches is that it has high Potassium, high Magnesium, and Calcium. The important thing is that the pH is not alkaline, and there’s a lot more too.

@A_Haze_THAI420, for outdoor I just get what I get, haha. I can't really control much. Just looking at it for fun, you know? This is with a strain that can handle wet roots and isn’t afraid of mold, and there’s still mold to see. I’m solving problems every week, and I just started growing this year. I’d like to check out your stuff for some knowledge!

@Med_in_Tropic, not at all, my friend. The first plant is already dried, and it feels like I rushed it too much. The smell is very weak. Plus, after drying, it’s completely gone. TT I hope the two remaining plants will be better. But the first one I cut didn’t really have much smell even before I cut it.

Med_in_Tropic commented7y ago
@A_Haze_THAI420, I got quite a bit! I have to say, my plants are tall and big, almost 2 meters each. I think I’ll only get about 50-60 grams of dry buds. They’ll be dense and flat. I really like the effect, whether it’s going to make me sleepy or social, but I don’t like the paranoia. If you want to try adding some scent, I’ve done it before and it smokes nicely, kind of like using hemp paper with added fragrance. There are risks involved, especially if you add too much oil, which can lead to mold. 2) People generally prefer natural scents. What I did was find some small bottles to put the buds I want to experiment with. The scents I’ve used - grapefruit aroma oil and strawberry flavor for sweets. I’m currently working on blueberry but haven’t had the chance to try it yet. I dry them normally and during curing, I separate the bits I want to experiment with. I put the scent on cotton balls and then place the cotton balls in another container. I put them on top because I’m worried about moisture, but you can put them anywhere; the scent will spread out on its own. If the strain doesn’t have a scent already, you only lose one bud and the price of the fragrance oil, which ranges from 30 to 120 baht. When I tried smoking it, it tasted just like candy! The scent sticks to my clothes and smells fruity, and people think it’s air freshener or shampoo. My son likes it too, and one plant can produce several different scents!

A_Haze_THAI420 commented7y ago
@Med_in_Tropic, thank you so much!!! This is really helpful for me. Right now, I've read that they use terpenes extracted from the flowers. They say you can drop it directly on the flower, but I'm worried about mold if I cure it that way. The price is quite high though. The general scent is interesting. I think it would be fun to try changing it up myself. I'll give it a go and let you know how it turns out. I'm planning to cure it normally for about a week first. Thanks again!
