Everything was good this week, Temperatures got pretty high (30°c on average), but lower humitdy levels and cooler night temps. (Some nights as low as 17°c). Minor bug damage on GZ#1, this one has felt stressed out for the majority of the grow, but I'm still excited to see what she produces. By far the healthiest of the bunch is the White Widow, she's got strong stalks and very hardy greenery. I would definitly recommend the Crop King WW for outdoor growers! The secong strongest of the pack has to be the GG#4 she has looked great since the start of the grow and I'm very excited to see how she finishes. I feel like both of the GZ have thinner, more streched out feel to them, and that may be completely normal as I have never grown them before. My plants are usually taller at this point in the summer, I feel like this season has seen cooler temperatures than we are used to in Southern Ontario, as well as more rain and lower R.H. levels. It is also worth notting that I don't let my plants get rain exposure, or at least I try to keep it to a minimum (last summer my plant were only touched by rain twice the entire growing season) I do this because I only want my plants to drink what I'm feeding them - De chlorinated, Ph'd water from a reservoir- and so far, rain hasn't touched them yet!

Everything is going great, lollipoped all four of them and did some defoliation. Extreme heat and humidity all week but that is supposed to change next week. All four plants showing pretty strong signs of pre flower as the days are starting to hit the 14 - 15 hour cycle. I've smoked through my entire crop from last year and now I'm going to be forced to buy some of that government weed 💩 Harvest can't come soon enough.

Not much to speak of this week, Day time temps. saw highs of 45°c but it cooled down to about 26°c later in the week. The GZ #2 is showing signs of stress, so I'm going to take it easy on her as far as defoliation and LST for the next little while to give her a break. All three Gorilla strains are showing good pistol growth, which means they will probavly start to flower very early August.

Im probably going to wait one more week and then switch over to my flowering nutrients. All four plants are looking healthy and strong, they have begun to strech and are showing strong signs of flowering. I used Promix HP last summer as my meduim and found that I had to water daily for most of the summer. I found out that th BX has a water retention additive which makes more sense for an outdoor grow and now my watering is once every two or three days.

I was dealing with a lot of thundershower activity (rain and high humidity) My Gorilla Zkittles #2 was showing a little nutrient burn so I decided that I would just flush for 2 of the three feedings. I transitioned from my Veg Nutrients to my flowering formula. Early flower development and streching is in full force with all of the plants, with the White Widow being about a week or so behind in development. Daylight hours are down to 14hrs and 20 minutes as of August 7th. Right now the hight of these babies, Smartpots included, are about 4 feet in hight, coincidentally they are all about 4 feet in diameter due to some gentle bending over the last 2 months. They have an insanely dense root base that is difficult to penetrate. At this point heading into flower I feel that the weakest plant of the four is the Gorilla Skittles #1 but I am still really hopeful for some good buds. Bug damage has been really minimal this summer. My true fear of growing outdoors here in in Ontario is mold and mildew. It has been pretty humid and rainy and I've already identified and plucked a few leaves here and there from all of the plants. The scheduled temp/humidity for the next week is 24°c and around 65% rh, so I am hopeful for a cooler August and hopefully September!

It has been a tough week, I discovered that something pollinated the GG#4 as well as the GZ#2. Im not giving up on them though. I spent the better part of the week going over both plants with tweezers removing all seed growth I could find in the hopes that it will allow more of the plants resources to go back into fattening up my buds. This has never happened to me before so hopefully my efforts will pay off. I searched the GZ#1 and the WW meticulously to find signs of Hermaphrodite behavior and found absaloutly nothing. I think that the WW and the GZ#1 were far enough behind in flower development that they were not pollinated as well. The only thing I can think of at this point is that one of my neighbors may have a male/hermi on their hands and don't know it, and I have been the victim of some strong gusts of wind carrying pollen. Either way, the flowers are developing nicely and resin production is looking good, so even if I have to pull a few seeds out before I enjoy the fruits of my labour, then so be it. I am certainly not giving up on this grow as the potential for a good yeild is still there and It's just my gardening pride that will be hurt in the end.

Not much to say this week, weather has been great, kicked up my bloom feed a little, and did a little more defoliation to the plants. Flowers are developing nicely and there is lots of resin production all ready happening.

"It's begining to look a lot like Christmas" ☃️ ☃️ 🎄 🎄 Cruising along this week with great weather and nice growth, the Gorilla Zkittles#1 is still moving slow while the #2 is exploding. What a difference two different beans can make. Also any stress is on me and my neighbor with the flood light that hits my backyard every night.

Ok week, my GG#4 was attacked by PM this week. I was plucking leaves for a little while and then today I decided I needed to go on the offensive and I sprayed the whole plant down with a strong mix of 3% H202. I know there are mixed reviews on this, but I had to try something, as it was getting out of control. I usually bud wash at the end of the season because I grow outside, I just hope it doesn't affect bud development.

Crazy weather this week, it went down as low as 13c° at night and 17°c - 27°c during the day, and some rain. The PM that I attacked with H2O2 seems to have slowed or stopped the spread On the GG#4. But in doing so I think I hurt the leaves. When I initially sprayed them, most of the affected leaves changed colour within 10 minutes of spraying and have continued to die off. Like I've said before, I'll be bud washing my whole crop come harvest, but even with that I fear this GG#4 is in trouble, and I don't think the yield is going to be very substantial.

Happy Harvest Day!

So today was decision day in the garden. This gal has been battling a moderate case of powdery mildew since the beginning of August. High humidities, poor circulation and night temperatures as low as 13c and morning dew all contributed to the problem. I did my best to defoliate, and I went as far as spraying with a mixture of H2O2 and water, to slow it's progression. So I checked the trichomes today and most were milky with a few clear and a few amber, so I decided to pull the trigger. I would normally do a two week flush and 48 hours of darkness, but I was getting nervous about the PM going past the point of no return so I forwent my usual routine. When growing outdoors, PM or not, I think budwashing is an imperative step in the harvesting process. I do a four bucket system. First bucket is 200ml of 3% H2O2 to 5 gallons of water. Second bucket is 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup lemon juice to 5 gallons of water. The final two buckets are just filled with room temp tap water. I do this not only to kill and remove PM, but I find lots of dead bugs, spiders and bits environmental debris. I have never had a problem with potency or flavor after doing this. All most every trace of PM was gone after the wash and whatever is left will get trimmed off once it's dry. At the end of the trim I smoked a nice lump of scissor hash and it was delicious, not to mention it sent me into a different dimension. I don't do wet weights so once I know I'll add dry weight to this diary, but it looks like a pretty good haul.

What can I say, this week saw the early harvest of the GG#4, which I must say, after sampling some of its dried flowers pre-cure, it is exceptional in terms of potency and flavor. I also gave the GZ# it's first flush (they say these notes don't need flushing, but I do anyway) with the plan being one more flush early next week, 48 hours of darkness and a chop at the end of next week. As for right now, I'm just hopping for nice dry weather for the next little while and minimal morning dew.

Well today was the Gorilla Zkittles #2 last day in the sun, she is going into darkness for the next 48 hours and I'm going to chop her down on the weekend. The Gorilla Zkittles #1 and the White Widow both had their first flush on Monday this week and the plan is to flush once more next Monday and the chop to happen the following weekend. I've been monitoring the trichomes and everything has ripened perfectly.

Great Pheno, huge frosty buds, fruity delicious scissor hash what more can I say. The only negative is that somehow my plant must have been cross polinated early in flower because she's got a bunch of seeds. No hermies in my group of plants so maybe bee's 🐝? Either way it did not effect the growth of the flowers and these babies are dripping trichomes, and all the seeds I've collected so far have been very developed, so on a positive note, I've got more Gorilla Zkittles beans for the future.

Great grow, great pheno, it was really mildew resistant and very vigorous and healthy the entire time. It has a wonderful sweet herbal stank. The buds are dense and covered in trichomes. Got lots of finger/scissor hash during the harvest. I will definitely be growing this one again

This is the second of two phenos I grew and both turned out very different. This be no definitely turned out with lighter colours and smaller buds then the first one, but definitely seems to be more resinous even though the buds are a little smaller. I've been curing the first pheno for about a week, and after smoking some I can say it's already extremely potent. At this point I'm only one day into drying this plant and I'm excited to taste the end results an experience the high.
