Hey Hawktree taste and potency also depends on something called terpenes. These a highly volatile molecules which means they are pretty fragile. So even light, heat, etc degrade them. The point is that for taste you can do two things : promote the creation of terpenes and promote the conservation of terpenes. To promote the creation of terpenes one ways is to make sure the plant has enough micro, specifically you want her to have enough magnesium and sulfur during flower. You can also add un sulfured molasses which is carbs for the plant. these micronutrients contribute to the terpenes (which are the source of taste and smell). Same with going organic, organic nutrients in soil just make the weed taste better in my opinion - try also adding beneficial bacteria as chelation agents in order to get the most out of your feed. That's to promote creation of terpenes, but actually the most important part to preserve the terpenes. Terpenes are highly volatile that means that every day under the light the light destroys them then at night the plant is rushing to create more, so reduce your light the last few days of flower before the chop , put the plant in 24hrs of darkness before the chop, chop the plant in the dark , dry it in the dark (VERY IMPORTANT!) then my little trick is to cure it in miron glass jars (that's black glass!) which filters most of the "bad light" . more than 50% of the final quality is determined by the cure, so dont mess the cure up ! the first week after you jar you want to inspect the weed everyday (in the dark!) that means open the jar take the weed out then put it back in the jar (no need to leave it out very long at all!), then you want to inspect once a week for the next three weeks. If you do all this i'm quite sure you'll have delicious weed . Hope this helps ! 🚀

Yes I would flip to 12/12. U should of seen at least couple of white hairs already for being an auto. Now if she has been stressed alot could be why she is not budding. Also buying auto flowers for a breeder who knows autos will help. For example dinafem breeds autos that are known to consistently have high thc and big harvest. Another one is mephisto genetics who only breeds autos and been doing it for many years. Hope I can help

Generally speaking Autos are crossed to photoperiodic strain in attempt to give them potency and to keep the taste and shape of the original strain but with the ruderalis autoflowering genes. Knowing that you can easily guess that a few numbers of seeds can use a recessive gene ( photoperiodic gene ) instead of the dominant gene ( the autoflowering gene ) so in that case you will have an auto that need to be flip to a 12/12 light schedule to flower. I advise you to switch to 12/12 to see if something in changing. I also know that the big Nitrogen excess are slowing down the flowering process of almost any strain but air wouldn't bet on that here

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks I just chopped down one of my Hindu plants. the light came on about 5 hrs ago and I chopped her down I got busy and was not able to get to it before the lights came on. but I have another Hindu that was about 2-3 weeks slower and I will make sure I chop it down after 24 hrs of the dark . at least I will be able to see the difference.

A natural sweetener to help with the flavour is Blackstrap mollasses Bloody cheap too 😀

@Hawktree, perhaps the environment is the culprit? always dry in a dark cool place with good air flow for atleast a week for the big buds

@DILLIGAF, molasses is good stuff. I used it before I started flushing my Hindu plant. I just harvest about 2hrs ago. when I take my plant down there dank and full of trichomes but every time I dry them the smell leaves and no taste. so I must be doing something wrong in the drying face.. because before I chop them down they are sticky and dank but when I chop it down all that goes away.
