Week Ending 07/23. Really hot week, ambient temp was in the high 80s to low 90s all week. Noticed a small amount of nutrient deficiency starting to poke through, so switched to full nute regimen. Humidity has been a bit low, so sprayed the inside with some plain RO water to help bring it up. They were growing a tad slow for my liking, so I dropped the lights down a bit more. More light, and the nutes created a perfect recipe and they seem to be thriving now. I'm starting to think the one plant that has all the weird twisting growth is either a mutation or a weird pheno. Instead of getting a bit leggy like the other plants, its staid slightly shorter, and really bushy. no change in growth rate or anything, so I'm not too worried. We'll see what she yields. Plant heights do not take into consideration topping off the soil last week; add 2 inches for real growth difference.
Great looking ladies you've got there. Quick question - I'm about to kick off some auto's on my next grow, can I still LST/Defoliate them without stressing? They're fem'd, but I'm a rookie and still worry about f'ing up my $60 seeds.... haha
@PurpsInMyCloset, It depends what the true wattage is of your lights. So I run a total of 5 Quantum boards LED, and give a total of about 250 watts of lighting to every 2 plants. If you have a reddit account, I would check out R/microgrowery. I try to post there frequently, and there is a ton of information about QBs. I've had some impressive yields, heat mitigation is easy, and you can source them from Alibaba. But, for your current light, see what the actual wattage is, and the foot print and base it off that!
@Cloyy perfect! I really don't like the idea of defoliating any seeds that i'm paying for, haha, but i'm willing to try anything to get some solid colas. One last question.... I got 8 seeds, thinking of doing 4 and 4. I only have a 600w "YGrow" (Amazon...) LED. Do you think that's enough for 4 plants at a time? Curious what you're running!
@PurpsInMyCloset, Thank you! LST and LIGHT defoliation are my go to. Save the defoliation until they shift to flower, and only enough to clear covered bud sites. You can top them too, but only if you have good growth by week 2/3. If it's your first time with autos then I would stick to LST, and light defoliation during flower. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions on your grow!
