Fibro_Witch First time doing autos and growing 420 FastBuds. I soaked these overnight on Wednesday and both have germinated in the Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil, though 1 is definitely ahead of the other. I'm going to be putting these in 5 gallon fabric pots when they're ready.
From 420 FastBuds website:
"Our CBD Crack strain is a super chill euphoric hazer and medical marvel, rapidly becoming our anytime favorite among all our strains for sale.
Perfect for wake & bakes, this offspring of our sativa-indica hybrid Green Crack guarantees a mellow, positive and focused high with no couch lock or mental fogginess at a great price.
CBD Crack seeds are FastBuds' latest wonders of autoflower genetics, delivering up to 7% CBD index and 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD. These distinguished, colorful plants blossom beautifully in pine tree style. Lovely purpling and abundant frost adorn quality buds from top to bottom, with harvests of up to 250g per plant within 75 days of seeding.
TASTE & AROMA
Its distinctive flavor combines rustic and pungent tones with hints of citrus and cinnamon."
I think it's safe to say this strain is definitely dominant in Myrcene,

Fibro_Witch I had 2 germinate and then for sh!t$ and giggles I decided to throw another in so that's the smaller one.
I decided I'd better transplant to the Root Pouches while I still had time.
I used what little of the Fox Farm Ocean Forest I had left and then mostly Coast of Maine Potting soil.
Now they're in the garden with the big girls!
Fibro_Witch The older plants really found their stride this week and have put out some good growth so hopefully it'll be exponential from here on out. I'll probably pinch the smaller one this afternoon.
The bugs have become more interested in the autos this week so I sprayed with a little Safer brand Neem oil concentrate.

Fibro_Witch Solid week for the CBD Cracks. They're really starting to fill out. And flowers! Already? That went fast! I guess that's why they call them Fast Budsπ!
I totally missed my window on ponytailing. I've been so busy with work and the rest of the garden. So it looks like we'll just have to see what happens when they're left to their own devices. Oh well!

Fibro_Witch The girls had a good week but the bugs are closing in. I have some BT coming on Monday to hopefully thwart those pesky inchworms since Neem and Insecticidal Soap do not seem to be doing the job.
They got a little Coast of Maine 5-4-2 around the base as well. I'm staying away from mineral salts this year and sticking with au naturale nutes.

Fibro_Witch I'm really loving these autos! They are carefree and getting frosty alreadyπ
Inchworms are still snacking on them but they're resilient, and I'm spraying with Bonide brand Thuricide BT (bacillus thuringiensis) which targets caterpillars and inchworms.
They got some Molasses and Big Bloom this week.

Fibro_Witch I'm continuing to have a lot of fun with these autos. I'll admit, you get a little impatient with the photoperiod strains. It can become tedious, with such a long season. These autos tho, they transform before your very eyes! I love it! just a couple more weeks and they'll be ready. I can't wait to see how sugary they get. The nice thing is that they'll be done before the cool weather and rain that equates to mold issues sets in. I've been shopping around for more 1:1 autos for next year. Can't deny how convenient these are for outdoor growers in the north.

Fibro_Witch Things are going great. These girls are getting nice and frosty. They are so easy. And the smell! Oh she's heavenly! She's almost sickeningly sweet. I'm very excited to try this strain. Last year I was more on the Indica dominant bandwagon, since I use Kratom during the day for pain management. But my obsession with CBD Blue Shark has me excited for more balanced hybrids. I've been having an issue with the quality of Kratom I've been getting from vendors so I may have to start in on wake&bakes, which FastBuds says this strain is perfect for!

Fibro_Witch Take it away Pointer Sisters!
"I'm so excited (look what you do to me), and I just can't hide it (you got me burning up)
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it (yeah)
I'm so excited (how did you get to me?), and I can't deny, no, no, no (I've got to give it up)
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)I know, I know, that I want you"
We have about 15% amber on these trichs. I'm thinking she's coming down in the next week, at least the older 2 are. I'm planning on going at about 40-50% amber because I want this for daytime use so I don't want a lot of CBN.
Just water for now. Let's see how they finish!
So last night I vaped this in my Atmos Jump. I was alert but on cloud 9. Definitely seemed stronger than other 1:1's I've grown, but that may have been due to my harvest timing. That and I'm pretty sure I grabbed the sativa pheno which I'm more sensitive to.
This strain certainly has the mango flavor that Fast Buds says it does. Tropical notes fill your mouth and lift your spirits.
I have to say also that this strain gives you serious munchies, so beware. I ate way too much!π And then I couldn't sleepπ So sativa pheno is definitely daytime stuff! However, if you want to be productive, I would suggest only doing one thing since this strain kind of immerses you. I was so into the show I was watching that I forgot to close in the ducks and chickensπ² But I remembered at 9pmπ
After a couple months of curing I made a cup of butter with 20g from different jars so that I got the indica pheno mixed with the sativa pheno for a more balanced profile. I made some mini carrot cake muffins and they turned out great. A nice even high that's versatile. I can have 1/2 a mini muffin in the morning to get my day off to a great start or I can eat a whole muffin an hour before bed and have a good nights sleepπ΄
Overall I'm pretty darn happy. Looking forward to trying this strain again next year and hoping to get even better results!
@rhodes68, *waving to you from across the country* spring was very late this year. Wasn't able to put my photoperiods outdoors til a couple weeks after when I did last year. Your CBD Crack diary from 3 months ago looks like you had a really nice plant there. I don't know if I can top that one!
@Fibro_Witch,
Yeah she was nice and I am trying to do just that with 5 gal pots and hopefully some luck. Would like to fill our yearly needs of CBD with this grow :)
Outside yeah we were a month late not so much due to just cold as cold and cloudy. I can fight cold heat rain and wind , I cannot fight no sun.
The autos took a hell of a hit and the photos are behind but catching up. Will never put an auto out again before July LOL
I would absolutely pony tail those as they seem to be getting LOTS of light now. Pick a time when you know weather will be sunny for a few days running but dont wait long you will flower like any day now. Looking good!
@rhodes68, Thanks! I should have done it sooner, I remembered reading that this strain does well with ponytailing and I forgot, but then I saw your post from this week and it reminded me, so thank you! We're getting dumped with rain right now, but this weekend should be nice and clear.
@Fibro_Witch,
I have one on the current grow that is expressing sativa in the worst way, height. Had to bend Becky to keep the canopy working but also decided to slow down that main a bit so continuing the ponytail for a few more days or I see it needs to end. Havent seen this done so kind of curious how it works.
Hey there!
Thanks so much for growing our genetics =)
Good luck with your CBD Crack, if you need any assistance, just let us know! ππΌ
Happy Growing ππ±
@Wachsemilian, Thank you very much! I just went through and edited the photos (I uploaded them in a hurry, and they look like crap) so I'll be swapping those out! But they won't be nearly as nice as yoursπ
Yes its easy to fall in love with the little plants, they have proven perfect for indoor growing and while they will grow outdoors (weather being most critical variable) its really not what they do well.
Pot size seems critical, I have about ten 3 gallon pots I may never use again as 5 gal are working out so well I dont ever see going back. Ah well they work for tomatoes and peppers as well :)
We plan to "assembly line" these during the cold weather soon to arrive hoping for an indoor four plant harvest every month or so which you cant really do with photos.
