Everything is going well, I have been watering very minimally just keeping soil nice and moist, watering around the edges to encourage the roots to grow out. My tap water seems to have a 7.1 ph and after baking in the sun an even higher ph, somewhere in the 8's. For this reason I have been using poland spring water since the beginning of the grow. Any recommendations what to do about this? I'm thinking around week 4 I will give her the first topfeed of one shot granules, a very very small amount (though it's slow release). But if she isn't showing any nutrition deficiencies then I will not feed her. This past week has been a very very hot one, plant experiencing temps of 90+, does it look like she is suffering from it at all? 7/9/19 Update: So today I realized that, maybe the smart pot walls were a little too high, so I folded them down to about the same level as the soil. Hopefully this will allow for more light to penetrate all around the plant. Turned up the fans a little bit today, will see if it helps with temps :). 7/11/19: Today concludes week 2 of veg. She is very small. Today's conditions: 84.5 Fahrenheit // 62% RH Plant height: 1 1/2" inches (one and a half inches) OR 38 mm I have been daily watering her with 500ml of cold spring water due to hot conditions, is this too little water at this stage? See you in a few days for week 3 update! :)

No your light source is very close and 360 so the plant doesnt need to stretch for light, ive never seen someone use led strips pretty cool idea but i would suggest getting a larger hooded or fanned light with a ballast hung from the celing where you can adjust the height accordingly

Daily watering intake is now 1L of spring water. Trying to give her some more natural light lately. Nothing special yet, waiting for her to be a little taller before LST!

My baby finally grew up in week 3, but I suspect shes aging fast. I think this may be her last week in veg, I am eagerly LST'ing doing my best to evenly expose the lower bud sites. It seems like its working so far! Still have NOT fed any nutes to her, just good spring water since day 1. The soil mix is fox forest ocean farms mixed with a small amount of NFTG one shot granules. These one shot granules are supposed to be slow release, should I give her a top amendment of some if it soon in preparation for flowering? My soil has to be running low on nutrients soon right? Or is it possible I could go all the way to harvest with out touching my medium or adding any nutes? Any recommendations on organic nutrients? Should I defoliate her in anyway or just focus on LST as a first time grower? 7/23: Hello guys, I finally made some strides I will have a new home for my girl tomorrow. I also got the fox farm trio nutes along with sledgehammer solution for flushing. PH Up and down, ppm meter, more pots, more lighting etc ;) I'm so proud how far my girl has come inside of a trash can though! Wayyyyyy cooler temps today by the way, like 80's compared to the 100 degree weather my region just experienced. So I hope Luna enjoyed that :p 7/25: Today was her fist day of nutes! I gave her 1 tsp of each fox farm trio nute with her morning watering. I mixed about 1/2 tsp of calmag into a spray bottle with 32 fl oz of water and sprayed her down at 5:30 PM.

Day 32 (July 29th 2019: Hello everyone. Luna is stretching like crazy. Today I measured her and she is now about 12" and I moved the light up a few inches to allow her to keep stretching upwards. I also trained some of her main branches out of the way to allow more light to penetrate the canopy because, I am getting a lot of yellow leaves down low because the light isn't reaching them. I think I caught it early enough before it becomes an issue. She is also popping a LOT of pistils now! Exciting time for a first time grower :P. I also germinated 3 more and I will be uploading them to a new grow diary but at a week to week basis compared to my daily updates on this girl. :)

What's up with the yellowing leaves? They seem to yellow from the outside inwards and the tips also seem burnt too. Is it nutrient burn? Excess or Deficiency? It's mostly on the bottom but its affecting some of the bigger leaves in the middle too, Watch the video for an overview!

Hey Visco the yellow is a sign of nitrogen deficiency but there could be 2 causes on yours from what it looks like. It appears to be in the middle of its flowering stretch so it will need a lot of nitrogen to build those branches. It could just be that it needs some more nitrogen. The other is salt build up on the roots that is preventing them from absorbing nutrients. It is best to water until you get about 15% runoff from the bottom of the pot to prevent salt build up. Then make sure the top of the soil dries out quite a bit before watering again. Sorry I cant pinpoint 100% on this but hope this info gives you a little more insight to determine what it is. If you have not been watering until you get a good amount of runoff thrn this is going to be your issue. I would water with plain ph adjusted water for the next couple waterings. With 95 degree heat I assume the pot dries out pretty fast leaving a lot of salt behind. And the leaves look a dark shade of green so I think the nitrogen is there. Hope this gets you headed in the right direction. Good luck.

Here we come week 7, week 3 of flower. Hopefully we get to see some buds form this week :D Been keeping her branches trained down to allow for more growth and stretching. QUESTION: Would anyone recommend lollipopping this week? (Removing the lower budsites that arent getting a lot of growth in order to put the growth towards the main colas) Day 47- SO, we did a thing....... Hopefully not too late in flowering for this.

Aug 18th day 51 - Shes doing well, getting fatter everyday but the humid conditions I am not sure if it's creating mold or if I am starting to get trichome production finally. Time will tell :) Aug 21st day 54 - Should I defoliate anymore? Some of the lower colas aren't getting enough light should I LST anymore or is it too late? Or should I just get rid of the small colas on the lower parts of branches to allow the plant to focus on the main colas on every branch? The branches aren't very bendy anymore like they used to be in veg lol. Gave her a good 3 liter watering today ph balanced to 6.3 with a runoff of 6.5. Pretty hot and humid conditions lately but I have lots of airflow to help against any type of mold developing. COMMENT YOUR SUGGESTIONS BELOW! Aug 23rd day 56 - Officially 4 weeks from harvest, 2 weeks from flush :) That's the game plan at least :p. Any recommendations or tips please comment below :)

So as I approach late flower, I am confused about flushing... This plant is supposed to flower 8 weeks. Do I flush at the end of week 6, or at the end of week 8? The harvest would then be pushed until week 10 as I am planning to flush for 2 weeks.

First grow very nice. The breeders use week estimates so always go by the trichomes color. Try not to jump the gun and flush too early it does happen. Just a guess you probably have at least 2-3 weeks to go. The buds continue to bulk up the most in the last few weeks. Typically When about 50% of the white pistils have turned orange I start checking the trichomes. If you have mostly all clear trichomes you can still give her a few more feedings. Once you see more 1/2 cloudy trichomes than clear trichomes you can start to flush her. Typically 10 to 14 days is more than enough. You will get better with this after a few grows. She's ready when she's ready. If you have a TDS or PPM meter run 7 to 9 gallons of water through your pot or until your runoff from the pot is within a 100-150 ppm of the flush water. You want to let her dry out before you water her again and keep up this wet/dry cycle until your runoff ppm are close to the flush water ppm. Typically within 7 days you will see it starting to steal nutrients from the lower leaves. If possible try to lower your temperature to 80 F or less to preserve the terpenes and lower your humidity to under 45% then 40% or lower. At 70% it could cause potential mildew issues. Most growers harvest with about 5% to 30% amber trichomes depending on what type of high you like. The main cola will typically be ready a little sooner than the lower buds. You can harvest in stages as they ripen. Think fall your trying to mimic the stress plants and trees go through to survive their environmental changes. You can also cut back on your lights the last couple of weeks to 18-20 hrs which will allow a nice nighttime temperature drop to pull some nice colors out of her. 👍

Day 65 sept 01- Getting frosttyyyy, 1 more week till we start flushing but I need to start checking the trichomes. They are all clear right now. Day 66 Sept 02- Taco'd leaves and burnt leaf tips. I believe I shes experiencing some heat stress, I may switch my light schedule to 20/4 tomorrow. ;p Day 70 Sept 06 - Well I haven't changed anything, lower temps as fall comes in. But that may have just been for today. Smell is getting way stronger, hoping for the buds to fatten up a litttleee bit more in the last weeks :)

So here we are, day 72 september 8th. RIP first grow, I shoulda had a dehumidifier guys.... The 3 other plants are transpiring wayyyy too much and I didn't realize how much of a humidity problem it would cause. Low and behold, it ruined my girl. I believe only the main cola is affected. Can I chop her top off and continue on till the rest of her buds ripen? What can I do ?? Please help I fucked up, this really sucks ass.... EDIT EDIT: ITS NOT ROT YAY! IT'S SPIDER MITES I BELIEVE! I saw a little red bug and i was like OH SHIT. Turns out they can leave little webs in your buds. Any recommendations on how to treat this ? EDIT 9/10: Okay, after not wanting to believe it was mold.... it was mold. lol. I removed the top part of the main cola that was in the early stages of bud rot (botrytis) I have never seen the inside of a developing bud like this. I wasn't really sure exactly what I was looking at lol. So I probably removed more than I had to and some parts probably could have been salvaged but fuck that I just got rid of all of it. Cleaned the tent with lysol disinfecting wipes and got a cheap dehumidifier. I am almost 100 percent sure I am gonna have to buy a 150-200$ dehu in the near future..... i hope not tho. ALSO, changed light schedule back to 20/4. 10 AM off, 2 PM on. Hopefully this will help with some cooler temps during the day. :) and @Philindicus recommended I switch it, I am gonna take his advice this time after he warned me of mold issues xDDD Sept 11th Day 75 - Got a 50 pint GE dehu setup today, big boy moves. Plants are thriving now, 55% RH controlled and ooooo its so nice! Feels good to regain control over the grow again xD. Will post some nice pics tomorrow :) Sept 12th day 76 - sorry no pics again today, just been super busy :p Plants are still thriving, currently 50% rh in the tent and 74.5f degrees :) TEXTBOOK! Catch y'all tomorrow ;)

Harvested some really beautiful buds from this plant even considering errors that I made throughout the grow. Lots of stunning orange pistils and buds remain a light green color giving it the signature white widow look :). Sorry I didn't take a wet weight measurement :s. I have only tested some small buds with a dynavap m 2019 + induction heater, and it kind of tasted flowery and almost like a lavender taste. :) This strain seems like a pretty even hybrid to me.

As I have harvested one, and am going to be harvesting 3 more of this plant soon I can tell you that they tend to veg for 4 weeks and then flower for around 8-9 weeks. Defoliation right before the flower stretch works wonders on this plant and increases cola count like crazyyyyy. This plant is pretty resilient to defoliation. In late flower this plant produces some really nice sativa looking fan leaves as the colas form, compared to the thicker and wider indica leaves in veg.
