Day 30 of flower. Cookies kush strain . Plants in back left. Roughly 30 days left to go in flower. This girl is So PRETTY I can see why is won awards. Lights 1212 par value roughly 1000. I keep lowering my light no signs of light burn yet at 19 inches. Day temp 21-26 night 17-21. Rh% is set to 45-55%. Watering every third day. 4L per plant . No runoff. Every third water I give technaflora nutrients at 1400ppm. Water ph 6.2 Ive learned my plants love a water ph around 6.2. Even slightly altering this to 6.7 you can tell they don’t grow as much. Very excited for the next few weeks as you just sit back and watch them fatten up. See y’all next week.

Flushing techniques with organic soil. I hate chemical tasting weed. I have organic soil in 7 gallon pots. It takes 4.2 litres to have very little run off at the bottom. 3.5 weeks left of flower. What’s your best method to flush plants in the final weeks ?

Techniques. Defoliation

Instead of 1 week of heavy flushing, you can just water with plain water for 2 weeks, that will give the plant enough time to consume whatever is left on the soil and its own stores of nutes. Less of a mess.

Day 79. Day 36 flower. Cookies kush strain. First grow Lights 12:12. Par 1000. Day temp 23-27 night 18-22. RH 45%-55%. Water 1400 ppm with technaflora nutrients. PH 6.4. Co2 500ppm. Organic living soil in 7 gal fabric pots. Going to drop RH to 35% at the end of this week and temp a couple degrees. Give them there last nute feeding to give them good time to flush over then next 2-3 weeks and let that organic dirt take back over the smell and taste. This girl is some pretty I don’t think it’s going to be as high as yield as the other two strains. I’ve included my nutrient amounts in this week also take a look! See you guys next week

Day 85. Day 42 flower. End of week 6 .cookies kush. First grow. Lights 12/12. Par value roughly 750 for final two weeks. Rh% dropped to 40% . Temps 21-23 daytime. 17-19 nighttime. Technaflora nutes, i included amount above. Organic living soil. 7 gal smart pots. Co2 500ppm. Watering 4L every 3 days ph 6.3. 1400 ppm water with nutes. Water water feed schedule. Gave them there last full dose of nutrients on day 42. Dropped humidity and temp a tiny bit. Moved the lights to slightly less power. I can’t see these girls going past day 56. Also included some mediocre pictures of trichomes for you guys. Mine are still 50/50 milky/clear. I want them to have a few amber trichomes before I harvest. I will post week 13-14 and then a harvest week so it looks like this grows coming to end ! Hope you’ve enjoyed it so far and learned some things. I know I did on my first grow.

Day 93. Day 50 of flower. Cookies kush strain. First grow. Lights 12/12 Par value roughly 750. Temp ranges from 17-26 day&night. Humidity 40%. Kryptonite soil in 7 gal fabric pots. Last nutes were fed on day 42 at 1400 ppm. Giving them 6L of water every 3 days for the rest of the grow. PH is 6.2 and the PPM of the water is 130. No signs of yellowing so I think I will continue this feeding method until the end as it seems there’s still plenty for them to eat in my mediums. My trichomes are still 50/50 milky clear going into 52 of flower. Just keeping a close eye now. Definitely packing on some good final weight. Super pretty plant in my opinion. see y’all next week 😎

Very pretty strain. Smells like the classic GSC smell. Yield was good. This stuff is the perfect mix of both worlds of head high and couch high. Gives ya the munchies and giggles. Very smooth smoking. Compact bud structure. Curing for about two weeks now and it’s all I could have asked for in my first grow.

I just dried these in my tent flipped the scrog upside down and dried for 1 week at 55%rh and 20degrees then trimmed nicely and burped jars until it had a RH of 62% Overall first grow- First of all I’d like to mention some issues with the grow but I combated very well. If the power gos out get flashlights to keep the light cycle going. Get watering spraying pump it’s easier to water picture week 7. Put your pots on elevation 4 to 5 3/4inch wood pieces so you can adjust the height of pot in your tent to get better canopy overall if training doesn’t go as planned. Get a big dehumidifier. Keep Ph consistent. And keep it simple y’all . Good lights ,good dirt, good strain, good nutrients and water consistent with correct ppm and pH and keep humidity low for mould and and you’ll have some good shit. Hope this diary helps some of y’all. Till next time.

Nice looking girls! I noticed you wrote organic living soil, however your using salt based nutrients. You can’t have both, so your grow would be a soil grow with synthetic nutrients. cheers.
OrganicChronic
OrganicChroniccommented5 years ago
@SirDillton, I see! Yeah, it’s because organic living soil relies on microbes to break down nutrients in the soil and deliver them to the roots. Microbes form multple functions including protecting the plant from diseases and pests. When you use synthetics the microbe colonies change or dies as they’re not needed the same way.

SirDilltoncommented5 years ago
Thanks man! And good to know about the soil! it’s just what the company had on the bag, is organic living soil so that’s what I called it. It’s called kryptonite dirt to be exact. So when you add synthetic nutrients it isn’t classified as living soil anymore? @OrganicChronic,

Good to know man I’ve been reading about it and I see people have good success with just watering normally for final two weeks with no flush at all as long as your soil is full of nutrients and it’s just plain water they seem too plump up better and taste fine. From what I’ve been reading anyways... I guess will see in a couple weeks .. still quite undecided how I’m going to go about it lol @@Athos,

Hi @SirDillton! One way to go is to let the medium dry, then fully flush the container under the shower until the runoff looks clear, then help the medium to dry faster with fans/airflow. This is a bit radical but then you don't need to do anything, your plant will have enough water until the chop and you will be able to wait for the trichomes to mature. If you use organic soil and do not like chemical taste in buds, why don't you consider using organic fertilizer? Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information. Happy growing! 👊

I think you'll want your scrog up higher for when it stretches mate, another foot or two at least

It’s a full indica strain that’s 13 inches tall before the flip. With scrog at 9 inches . From what I’ve gathered If it stretched two feet it would be unheard of for this strain . Rarely does it ever double it’s size when flipped. I might need to move it up 6 inches ... I’m only expecting them to stretch 10-14 inches . /@Fruitgrower,

WATERING w/ organic soil and liquid nutrients. QUESTION - when watering with plain water I leave very little runoff to keep organic properties inside but when I use liquid nutes should I water with 30% runoff or keep everything inside the pot like I do when using plain water?
the end.
