1st Soil Grow! CKS NLA in FF HF :)

Livinit2019 Started off worried about the little guys - i'd never heard of the membrane not getting removed from cotyledons before sprouting. Once I removed the membranes (on both plants) they were good as new. Had to leave em for a couple of days to see family our of town. I've been watering (imo) super lightly. About a liter a day into each 5 gal pot, around the seedling. Should I be watering more? Less? How am I looking? Feedback appreciated! FYI using FoxFarm Happy Frog in 5gal Fabric Pots, CKS Northern Lights Auto. When should I start nutes?

Livinit2019 So, seemingly sudden drop in the health of plant #1. She was bigger than plant #2, but now she's looking dreadful. Lots of spotting and leaf curling. There's some of that on the health(ier) one, but not near as much and it seems to be healing -- and growing! I topped plant #1 because I knew it was risky, but wanted to see what would happen and took a chance with a plant that was already looking a bit unhealthy. From what I can tell, I would definitely believe that it is burn considering that my 1000w LED was just 16 indes away from them for 8 days, since sprouting. I moved em up to 48 inches on day 9 and plant #2 reacted well but plant #1 is only getting worse. It could also be a PH issue, causing a calcium deficiency, but I've been giving them 6.0-6.5 PH treated water for 4 days now... I want to do LST on the health(ier) one, but not sure if it's too early. What do y'all think based on the stem growth?

Livinit2019 Both plant 1 and 2 are looking a lot healthier. Started LST with both the autos and it seems to be working well so far. The bigger one has a very strong main stem and is flourishing. The smaller one that I thought I was gonna lose is bouncing back, though at a pretty slow rate. I'll be lucky to get a quarter off that one. I also had a bag seed that I planted before these guys - didn't seem like she was gonna make it, but after I transplanted her to s 5gal pot, she became the healthiest of the bunch. No idea what stain she is, but I don't think she's auto. Works for me -- I'll keep vegging her at least until I harvest the two NLAs and let her grow big and tall :) Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Livinit2019 The plants LOOK good, but I made a big mistake when LSTing the plants, and some leaves got cuts, and 1 branch on both of the plants snapped off entirely :( I stopped LST entirely for the time being. Am considering getting another 1000w (132w actual) led identical to my current one. Growing in a 2x2 shower so I'm still 70 actual watts under what I should have based on the 50x area rule. Thoughts? They seem to be bouncing back well, though I'm definitely keeping a close eye on them. I started adding nutes last week (1/3 of recommended quantity) and everything seems to be looking good -- I noticed that growth significantly expanded, and there doesn't appear to be any negative side effects. I upped it to half the recommended dose today. Fingers crossed! It looks to me like plant #2 might be starting to flower, and maybe even plant #1 as well. Can anyone see what I'm talking about and let me know? Much obliged!

Livinit2019 Can't believe we're at the start week 5 already. This is such a beautiful process. Things are looking good - I started defoliation on all the ants this week. I figure, the little one isn't getting much bigger, the big one is so bushy the light is having trouble getting thru even with LST, and the bag seed seems to be a photoperiod plant so I have all the veg time I need to recover on that one. Update: The bigger girl started flowering on day 32! Let me know what y'all think!

Livinit2019 Update: the plants bounced back almost TOO fast after defoliation, and the leaves are bigger than ever lol. The pics I just put up are much higher quality than before. Please let me know what y'all think, and any improvements I could make. Also, I can see it looks like I will need more space if I want to keep vegging the bag seed (she's the one who is bent for LST). All these girls are getting so bushy 0_0 (will post better photos/vids tonight) All plants are looking very healthy! I went through the final round of defoliation on the autos this week, and the white pistils on the larger of the two are growing and sprouting up like crazy. The smaller of the two autos is producing more and more tops, so I think the yield will be better than previously expected. The bag seed plant is being trained with LST and growing very nicely. Im excited for that baby to have the whole 2x2 growspace to herself once the autos are harvested. Overall, this is another great week! I freaking love growing herb. It's a lot kf work, but it's the most pleasurable work I think I've ever done. I just love being around the plants. Sometimes I can't seem to keep my eyes off them :P

Livinit2019 Lowered the nutes -- didn't feed every 3 days like I previously did, just watered today. Overall looking good. I'm gonna have to move some of the plants to the tub because the bigger auto is getting so bushy. Let me know what you think in the comments, please!

Livinit2019 Finally split up the plants. The big auto has the 2x2 shower to herself now and the bathtub is plenty big for the smaller auto and the vegging bag seed/"mutant". Add the bath tub to the list of domestic areas in my home that Mary Jane has claimed :P Removing "grow big" from the nurse mix, despite it being recommended in the nute guide provided by fox farm that came with the trio I've been using, seemed to do wonders for the stunting/Yellowing. Unfortunately the top leaves on the bigger auto wilted seemingly irreparably (except for the middle one, like it's flipping me off for putting it through some rough shit >.<). All the other leaves perked back up and are in the process of uncurling. Thanks for all the answers, you guys. I'm gonna run a flush on these babies tonight or tomorrow. It's been 48 hours since their last watering of 1gal in a 5gal pot, so they should be good to go. Wish me luck!

Livinit2019 Changed feedings to 1x/week, and I think it's really helping. I think the vertical growth on the bigger auto finally stopped. She's got lots of beautiful white hairs. The other auto is finally starting to flower now. Got a few white hairs of her own as you can see. She's slower going, but she's got a lot of evenly tall colas. Stems aren't quite as strong but hopefully she'll produce a decent yield. The bag seed (last pic) plant is still growing strong. I've been experimenting with topping, FIMMing, and LST. It's done wonders for the plant. So many colas...can't wait to put this baby into flowering mode.
