Grizzly My first ever grow.
I’ve hydrated my canna coco brick with tap water, a+b base nutes and one table spoon of molasses then ph to 6.4. the run off of the coco was 5.8 and I have been watering with ph tap water for first few waters then a little bit of calmag.
Hey Grizzly you have to kinda read the plants to see where they want the light. Seedlings dont need much light for the first couple of weeks. If the seedling starts to get tall and leggy looking then it wants the light closer. If it curls up on the edges or doesnt get taller and get any space between the nodes then it either has heat/ light stress. That means the light is too close. With that being said they look pretty happy right now. I would move it down about an inch every couple of days until you get to 24 inches and let it run there while you monitor what they are doing. You can then decide of you want to go closer. Learning to read what your plants are telling you is the most valuable skill you can learn in this hobby. Hope this gets you headed in the right direction. Good luck
Grizzly One seems to be going a bit stronger than the other, not sure why but the tap root was a little bit smaller on that one before I dropped it in the coco.
They received their first nutrients feed today, I’ll be alternating this with de-chlorinated PH calmag waters.
Edit: Around day 9 I accidentally poured too much feed into one and it went a bit droopy, I let the coco dry out for about 12 hours more then the other, watered with calmag and it seems to have recovered now

Grizzly Going into week 3, one seems nice and healthy but the other is struggling, it’s a bit lanky and fell over from it’s last watering. I’m hoping it fixes its self some how, any tips would be appreciated ✌️🏽A little bit of smell coming at day 18

Grizzly Start of week 4, both girls are healthy now imo, I have started some LST on the lanky one and it seems to like it.
I decided to do a budget CO2 generator today, so we’ll see if that makes a difference.
I’ve been feeding just molasses instead of just calmag on the off watering✌️🏽
PH of feeding has been between 5.8 6.3.
Medium pH is 7, according to test kit I used
Grizzly Some purple coming through on some bud sites. the smell is getting stronger, it kinda of like a mixed berry smell.
I also don’t feed all of those nutes at once in case anyone was wondering

Grizzly After the first day of flushing, the buds have already started to swell again. The smell is getting that strong it’s escaping the tent. After the first week of flushing the lady’s have continued to swell and the smell is amazing, I will be harvesting some time late next week

Grizzly Well that is my first grow, harvested @ day 71. After the day 71 photos are some high quality photos that were taken around day 68. Harvest update will be done once drying is finished.
Wet weight after trimming the remaining fan leaves was 338 grams from both plants
I hit a few snags in veg with both plants that would have lost some yield but by the time flower came around, the environment issue and a little feeding issue were fixed and they flowered beautifully. They did a bit of stretching in early flower as I had my light a few inches too far away, I’ll remember to watch this for next time

Grizzly The smell when wet trimming the fans off is of sweet berrys, a little bit citrus and musky dank smell is the only way I can describe it.
The drying is coming to an end, at the end of day 13 I broke a bud off that weighed a gram and had a smoke test, the flavours are there and it smooth smoke surprisingly but I think a cure will really bring the terps out.
