Here we go! I only got one of the two to germinate and she is rooted through the block so I’ll start her nutrient feeding now. This lady is front and center of the operation so she’ll definitely get the highlighted spot to get plenty of photos and attention.
Doubled in size and her roots are definitely tapped. I’m going to up my nutrients now to see how much I can get her to stretch and grow so I can get some LST soon.
Moving right along I’m hoping this is the week she explodes. I’m thinking that I’ll keep her as a Christmas tree type as of now but that’s always subject to change. She’s a full 2 inches wider and her stem is about 3 times what it was last week in the update. She’s on full nutrients now so it’s only a matter of time.
This doesn’t seem like week four and usually I’m a little bit taller in the ebb and flow system. The only variable is that I put my rockwool cubes on slabs to give them more root mass however this may have been a mistake. Usually by week three the roots are at the bottom of the totes soaking up all the nutrients and this is not the case. That being said I do note in my personal journal less filling of the reservoir which means less nutrients. So maybe I’ll go back to the old way after I finish depending on where the yield ends up.
I topped her last week and she is just now in pre flower at about 26” tall but has filled out nicely. Hoping for the stretch to be a good one with the lights up to full power and the nutrients switched over to bloom and grow.
I’m a few days late with my entry because I was busy in the other tent finishing up with a project. The express is going along nicely. I duped the nutrients and ran a few days of florakleen to run a test and see if stripping the salts and removing the nutrient bond as advertised makes a difference. She has a big beautiful stall and all her branches are supported nicely.
Progress was a little slow this week. I decided to try out flora kleen and see if a mid flower salt removal and root cleanse would help. I was very surprised at what came off of the roots and out of the totes the plants were in after just an hour. I can for certain say that it did make quite a difference. She’s filling out nicely and we are almost to the fun part.
There wasn’t a lot of noticeable growth this week as there has been prior. This plant can take anything you throw at it though. I dialed up the nutrients to level 12 and it didn’t even phase her. I did trim som of the worthless lower branches and leaves early in the week. Sorry about the video. The rotate button isn’t working
Out of nowhere water consumption in the tent went from 3/4 gallon per day up to what I’m guessing is 1 1/4 gallon per day. The roots went a little dry today and some of the leaves immediately went crisp. I trimmed them off and increased my reservoir limit to its maximum. The others are I. Their home stretch and hopefully I didn’t stall out the express
Fall is in the air even in my tent. The roots went dry for about 6 hours and that was long enough to make her angry. Her and her neighbors started using quite a bit more nutrients and between a little complacency and some personal chaos it was totally my fault. She’s still on track though and going to be a high yielding behemoth that would surprise me in she nears the 6oz mark. And the ROTATE BUTTON AND TEXT IS STILL NOT WORKING ON IOS.
She was long winded but in the end a totally perfect freak of nature that could take as much in nutrients as I threw at her and overall 100% the best auto I've grown to date. If every one grew like this I'd think i was getting pretty good at the art from we all come here to share and learn about..
This plant was a POWERHOUSE! It shattered my previous one plant personal best by almost double. I broke the rules and double topped her early on just because she had grown so quickly in the early weeks. Coupled with the fact that she didn't flower until week 5 made her a beast. I might have missed an update here or there but she was 101 days from germination and so worth the wait. In the end a totally perfect freak of nature that could take as much in nutrients as I threw at her and overall 100% the best auto I've grown to date. If every one grew like this I'd think I was getting pretty good at the art from we all come here to share and learn about..
These are my HQ photos and I'll upload the phone shots shortly! Thanks for looking and this had better be a diary of the month winner lol
@Weird_Jimmy, thanks so much for the kind words! I really thought she was a number one contender too but I’m just happy to have her viewed as a top ten. I’ve got some un-named test genetics from fastbuds that just sprouted today and I’ll have a new diary starting up next week. Should be super interesting
Dude my hat off..that’s 1 amazing plant!! I was having a look around cause I just got a Pineapple Express seed so I wanted to see how she looks.. hopefully I’ll do something good but really you have killed it!! Enjoy the smoke 💨
@ThatoneAKguy,
It’s funny cause I really wanted to ask you when you topped her..yeah dude I’ll definitely do that if she goes that way thanks for the advice!its against the rules but I’ve seen many people having great results in topping autos, guess it’s always a bit of gamble but you know..
@Shoryuken,thanks very much for the kind words! It was a super fun one for sure. All the rules say you shouldn’t but if the 3rd node appears by the second week maybe try pinching the top.
@LED300DWC,
My most sincere apologies! I put the screws to her actually and I updated my amounts to illustrate the amount I’m using. I slacked off on that because I’m running 5 diaries at once and also a little down that I’ve been growing all these great plants and not getting views because I don’t fit the recommended algorithm for grow diaries. Meanwhile breeders who are not actually growing these plants are winning competitions. I work really hard to continue learning and making each time I do it better.
Hey there!
Thanks so much for growing our genetics :)
Good luck with your Pineapple Express 🙌🏼

Happy Growing! 💚🌱
@grower_not_shower, @grower_not_shower, scouts honor sir! That plant exploded in a 7 day period. I also grow in a hydro rockwool setup which is known for production like that. As a matter of fact there are about 5 of us growing fft02 and fft03 test genetics from fastbuds right now and I made that very comment to two of the guys that their plants made INSANE STRIDES between weeks 5 and 6 of flower.
Go look @silverback_guerilla and @budbandituk and tell them the same thing.
But don’t call me out and tell me my diary is fishy when I represent good genetics and a superior growing method.
@ThatoneAKguy, Yeah, dude, you definitely skipped a few weeks from the journal. There ain't no way in hell they grew like that from week 5 to week 6. Mine are at the end of week five, are way more advanced than yours were at that age, and I bet you a million dollars they won't even look close to how yours did in week 6. Something's fishy.
@ThatoneAKguy, duh I’m sorry I just pulled the stupid card I should have known that. I’ve been autoflower for years now that I’m photoperiod I seem to forgot about that. Merry Christmas
@@HiddenColorado, it’s an autoflower. This plant lived its entire life at 16 hours. This is what makes the auto unique. It has a pretty determined time that it kicks into flower on its own because it has been crossbred with a plant that has a genetic called ruderalis in it. It’s alleged that the origin came from Siberia where in the summer the sun never sets yet somehow the marijuana plants adapted for survival.
love this! Ive been growing same plant, bookmarked your diary before I started, and I am about to harvest my MONSTER too!!!! 😀 Thank you for all your hard work!
