I started these guys in solo cups under a 2' T5. Put them in fox farms happy frog. They have only been watered 1 time the first week. I had much better results starting them in happy frog over the light warrior soil. The plants are way bigger at the end of week one. After a week under the 2' bulb they are starting to stretch alittle to much. So I moved them into the big tent under 200w T5. I will be transferring them into their 3 gallon pots at the end of week 2.
Transferred the plants out of the solo cups into the 3 gallon pots with fox farms happy frog. I put one in fox farms ocean forest to see if they could handle it.
Update at week 2 end**
Plants had really good growth this week. The plant in ocean forest is burning slightly on the tips of the leaves. But looks ok. None have gotten any nutrients yet. The plant in the happy frog looks great. No burn and has become the biggest of the 5 plants.
Another good week for these guys. They are already way bigger than my 1st plants at 16 days old. Starting them off at lower light levels and placing them directly into the soil has really helped. I stunted the 1st run pretty bad by keeping them in the light warrior soil (no nutrients) and putting them under the 400watt light right away like mephisto said to.
These new ones are progressing way better and way faster.
Started some LST on the LED tent plants. The under growth on the LED plants is way further along than the ones in the T5 tent. I guess it's due to the LED lights penetration vs the T5.
I have moved all 5 of the Blue dream autos into the LED tent. I initially put only the 2 smallest in it. But within 2 weeks the have WAY outgrown the "big" plants from the T5 tent. So now they are all inside the 2x4 LED tent.
Its day 23 and the are 2 days into week 4. They look like they are doing good. I watered them this week with RO water and mycorrhizae. Next watering will be their first feeding with nutrients.
The Blue Dream autos continue to impress this week. They are looking fantastic under the dimmable Viperspectar 700. Its been 7 days since they last got watered. The pots are starting to feel pretty light. The soil is completely dry as far down as I can reach my finger (about 5") past that i cant tell. But judging by the weight, I would say they are going to need to be watered in another 4 or 5 days.
Plants got watered on Friday on day 30. Since they have been in Fox Farm happy frog, This is the first they got any nutrients besides some calmag. They got 50% of the week 4 veg schedule from General Hydroponics. plus some cal-mag.
Half way thru week 5 and readjusted the LST
We have reached the end of week 5. 2 of the plants were drooping last night and needed to be watered already after almost 5 days. The other 2 still had decent weight to the bucket so they got no water. The 3 that got watered only recieved RO water and some mycorrhizae. They perked up and looked great this morning
Start of week 6 or week 2 of flower. These blue dream autos are some of the easiest plants I've ever grown. They just keep getting bigger and better looking. One is starting to turn purple unlike the others.
Growing good. Plants got 500ppm of nutrients this month. They are starting to want to be watered every 4 days. They are also starting to get a unique smell to them.
Still growing great. Just RO water this week. Maybe next week also, we will see how they look next week. They are under 320w from the wall. We have switched over from blue to red on the lights. The pics come out very purple now with the extra red lights on.
They are still looking good. I have started giving them mag/sulfer in place of cal/mag and no more gro. All micro and bloom from here on out. One of the plants is a monster with lots of tops. Cant wait till it starts packing on weight. Gonna be a monster.
Plants are heading to the finish line and just fattening up. The big plant has kolas everywhere and the main is the size of a baseball bat. Filling in nicely. This has been a super easy plant to grow and would recommend to anyone to give it a try. The plants got a major defoliation to get rid a bunch of leaves that were blocking bud sites
