Magic Strains mystery hydro run

Fnord23 Roots are close to hitting the water, should get that explosive growth going.

Fnord23 First root tendrils have hit water so that first growth spurt should be right around the corner. Added bennies to the bucket and lowered lights to 33", everything else stayed the same.

Fnord23 Roots have finally hit the water and its starting to explode with growth. Easy peasy grow so far! I anticipate adding bud explosion to the feed this week as it gets closer to preflower.

Fnord23 Plant got its 1st topoff this week, also added another shot of bennies. Ive started training, not going to top the plant, but i am nending the sh!t outta it! Im enjoying this 1st attempt at hydro and really looking forward to seeing this strain grown out.

Fnord23 We are hitting preflower i believe, so not a lot to allow. Its gettin bushy and starting to fight the ties for vertical growth. Still no rez change at all, tho i have and will continue to top off as needed.

Fnord23 Still on cruise control. Did a big defol on the lower leaves, opened her up quite a bit. Shes still waiting to switch to full on flower but she is starting to stretch now.

Fnord23 I ended up doing my 1st rez change this week. Easy peasy. The plant has started to flower so this was a perfect time for a change. Itll be the only rez change for this run. Ive added bud explosion to the feed and i have increased the calmag. The plant is looking a bit too light for my tastes and im seeing signs of a mag, possibly calmag issue. Ive got epsom on hand if i need another quick boost of mag. We shall see.

Fnord23 Shes stretching hard here thru the last bit of preflower, budsites are stacking up. She seems to have gotten over her hiccup and shes got some color coming back and shes putting on bulk. I think, if i dont kill her, shes gonna have some nice bud action, im excited!

Fnord23 Still powering thru to the end. Shes had another heavy defol and ill probably do 1 more here in the next week, then ill let her coast to the finish line. Shes started getting sticky and frosty, tho shes not got a real discernible smell yet, just that thick green weed smell.

Fnord23 Shes still cruising along. I luv this, its been an amazing 1st attempt at hydro but fekkkk. I am hardcore fighting this things rootmass. Its smothering my airstones, and about every day i have to gently tear the airstones back out lol. I wont try hydro again until can set up a bigger container, this 5gal bucket just aint cutting it!

Fnord23 So its been a weird week for the hydro gal. I finally took matters into my own hands and trimmed the rootmass back. It was messy and scary but i just cut off some of the longest runner roots and some of the side stuff thats been causing me fits. She seems to be okay and shes started growing again so im back to feeling hopeful. Shes got quite a bit of burnt tips going on but new growth is starting to show some good health.
