Week 8! I'll update notes and photos as we go along! "Annabelle" aka plant A is doing great. I love the sparkle and the growth shes shown. I'm actually impressed as this is my first grow and usually I can't keep a cactus alive!
Day 56- I've stopped using the floramicro because it has too much N. I'll continue with flora bloom. I decided not to flush (we dont with veggies so why with weed?). I'm starting to see some cloudy trichs, but I know that it's not time yet.
Day 57- broke a small branch rotating her. Not happy about it. I'll let it dry and see what happens I guess.
Day 60- I haven't been home to take care of Annabelle since Wednesday so I gave her a good watering, she still seems happy and getting fatter. Even more trichomes are changing. I'm not happy about needing to harvest in the middle of the upcoming week though. Smoked some of the broken branch (waste not want not) and it's decent, I just want her to get fatter. Plant B has also caught up in height, but is a bit more bushy with smaller buds.
Day 61- main cola is measuring at 7inx3in now. Mostly cloudy trichs with an amber here or there.
Day 62- contemplating taking the main cola and anything else that is milky off. I'm trying to avoid couchlock completely, and with the smell the sooner I can get them dried and into jars the better. Trying to buy myself another 2 weeks if possible but slim chance.
Day 64- yes technically into week 9. I'm going to have to harvest Annabelle tonight. Thinking maybe plant B depending on how shes looking, I'm seeing tons of cloudy trichs on her. Just dont have the time to let them go any farther.
@Atruckerwifey, looking forward to seeing how it goes for you. This is a strain I recently smoked and really enjoyed. Hoping it turns out the same as the stuff I had. It was absolutely delicious.
@indoorontario, these ladies are growing faster than I could have imagined. I checked on them this morning and they have already popped, it's only been four days since I started them in water.
@HVACBOY88, more stems are a good thing. The bigger one shot up about an inch last night, so I'm guessing shes going to start growing fast now. I'm going to feed them tomorrow and since they are starting to drink more I'm going to quit spraying and just water in the dirt. Noticed a tiny black fly so in a panic I accidentally hit the leaves with neem.
@Atruckerwifey, the ones your pointing at is probably more stems growing! Keep up the good work and make sure when you water don't get the leaves all wet
@HVACBOY88, today was the last day of week 2. Slowly growing along. Starting to smell a bit and developing nubs at nodes. I added more pics. I'm guessing they will start to really take off now (hoping). I'm thinking the 80 degree days might have stunted growth a bit.
A is a good 6 inches taller than B and this morning is only about 4 inches from the light. I've switched her to bloom nutrients and now shes really growing (4 inches last night). I'm wondering if I can get her to slow down, or the other one to speed up? I'm starting to worry that if I raise the light it wont be enough for the shorter one.
@indoorontario,moved things around a bit this morning. I've got the light as far up as it can go now. I even doubled the wires to pull it closer to the ceiling. I noticed the folding on the top leaves and figured shes telling me it's too close. I've been adding books to the shorter one for a few weeks.
@Atruckerwifey, probably a good idea to move your light up a bit. I fried my plants a little over a couple of days, they do bounce back, but it can slow them down. I would suggest maybe putting the shorter one up on a box or something to bring it closer to the light if need be.
You are correct on your notion about 'flushing'. Ive yet to read one scientific study that supports it, only the contrary.
The Tangerine is looking nice! I loved growing this strain and really enjoy the outcome! Looks like your well on your way to some good big buds.
