Northern lights fem from seed

greenpinky So the first seed didnt make it, pretty sure i overwatered it and it rotted. New seed underway. New room finished. New light arrived. Should be a whole new ball game. Both have popped their stems above soil and are making their way along.so far so good. Potted the cococoir starter pots into 5 gal. Light water around seedling only.

greenpinky Trying to figure out the new light height. Seem to like about 30 inches and off to the side a bit, so far so good. May bring it down in a few days and see if they can handle it. Trying promix hp in these 5galpots. The cococoir stater pots were left in place when put in the 5 gal. The roots have already grown through. Coming along okay, starting nutes off slow.

greenpinky Going to start feeding some more nutes this week and experiment with bringing the light lower. See how it goes. Growing an nyc diesel along side thats keeping pace. Moving along pretty well. No issues . Thinking of manifolding. Topped at 3rd node after waiting for 5th node to appear. Will see how it recovers to decide weather i remove the second node growth tips or whether I lst and leave the 2nd node growth tips. Purple stems and veins appearing

greenpinky Moving along, new growth tips stretching out. Never removed 2nd growth tip after topping. Going to train both the 2nd and 3rd nodes and keep as many tips as i can, may top one more time once new grow tips start to show some nodes. Sept.29- watered ph 6.2 with nutes. Starting to really drink it up pretty quickly. Oct.1 defoliated big fan leaves, were sweating onto other leaves close by.

greenpinky So far so good. Leaves have that nice dank smell. Starting to grow some real nice stems. Training and trimming to let the growth tips get some light. Will let turn up now that its grown to the edges of the pot Oct-6 fed and watered ph 6.3 880ppm. 3.5l Oct-8. Starting to really grow out. Will likely scrog these plants. Oct.10- fed ph6.2 880ppm 1 gal.

greenpinky Oct.12. Rearranged the tent today to be a little more spaced out, and so light could be raised higher to keep away from growth. Sloped trays in place to allow in tent watering. Scrog in place Oct.13. Defoliated lightly to allow light to lower growth, going to flip to 12/12 soon. Oct.18- defoliating below the screen a bit more. Reducing daylight over the week.

greenpinky Oct.20. Flipped to 12/12 last night. Let the stretch begin. Will swittch to some bloom nutes next feed. The humidity may be an issue soon so will keep an eye on that. Winters rolling in here so soon the ambient humidity will plummet. Hoping that will help balance things out.. Oct.21- watered 1.3l spring water. Ph 6.8 225ppm to wet down. Followed with ph 6.2 850 ppm 5l with about .5l runoff. Run off shows ph 5.9 Oct.25- watered and fed with bloom nutes for first time. Big bud and bud candy.startin to get a little stinkier and stickier.

greenpinky Oct.27. Day 8 flower. This is the most trimmed out of them all mostly because its leaves are so massive they shade everything. See how that works out with the budding in the end. Oct.28- fed and watered. Ph 6.2 750ish ppm. 5.3 litres. Oct.31- fed and watered upped the big bud and bud candy this time around to full. Nov.2. Rounding out week 2. Everything seems to be going okay. Not sure where I should be as its a first time grow but none the less forging ahead.

greenpinky Moving into week 3 of flower. All seems to be going well. This one is under the smaller purple light and doesn't seem to be growing buds as fast, going to try and get some more light on this one. Fed and watered today. Up to about 950ppm with all the nutes now. Nov.4. Seems the cheap blurple light is living down to its reputation, if nothing else this will be a good what light not to use review for someone. Other 2 under cob led are sugary and much more developed. No sugars to be seen yet on leaves or buds here. Should have known it was a toy when I saw the instructions. Pic in week. Day.17Got a longer cord to allow bigger light more movement in the room so am going to rotate lights and see if we cant get this one back on track. Day.19- 2 days under cobs and it has noticeably helped bud growth. Fed and watered.

greenpinky Day.21 flower. Fed and watered. About 6l. Ph 6.4 800ppm . Once the c99 is harvested this will get pushed over and hopefully finish strong under more light. Day.22 been noticing some leaves turning a light green on the edges in kind of blotchy pattern. Tried cutting back on cal/mag to keep nitrogen down last feed. Wondering if thats causing this. Day.23. More leaves starting to show same signs. Day.24. Now seeing it on other 2 plants. Definately cal/mag. Upping it in todays feed and lowering ph to 6.1. Was starting to creep up. Day.25- leaves not showing as much light green today. Guess i got it right. Phew. Day.27. Comin along. Fed and watered.

greenpinky Day.29- defimately the least developed buds of the 3 plants. Lighting is truly to blame here. Hoping it can be kicked up a notch when i harvest the c99 next to it and move it under the better lights. Day.30- nov.19. Fed and watered. Seems to like about 5-6l every 3ish days.

greenpinky Week 6 flower Nov.25. Fed and watered. 6.3ph 850ppm. 1.3l just phd water, then 4l nuted. Real dark leaves seem to be creeping in still, almost looks like a copper deficiency. Ph is fine so not sure why its showing like that. Found a bud with what appears to be seeds. Are these really seeds? Did this go hermie? Not hermie, it got pollinated. so is now trying to grow seeds. Nyc diesel had a single male flower i found.

greenpinky dec.1. Week 7 day 42 flower. At this point the buds have pretty muched stopped growing, giving it this week to ripen up a bit then its coming down. Flushing with straight water starting today. Day 44- trichomes dont look quite ready. Day 45- flush 10litres. Day.46- lookin almost done. Want that couchlock the nl is supposed to give. So will wait for 50% amber .

greenpinky Besides a little cal/mag deficiency early on this pretty much took care of itself. Definately like the lower ph's. Will grow this again under the better light and see what it really should have done. Lots of larfy popcorn buds down low, but still got a few decent top buds. Will have some seeds in it aswell. So definatley not the best grow, but a learning experience. Initial Smoke report. Took the driest bud i could find and fired it in a bowl. has a good relaxing efffect. Puts a smile on your face. Has a peppery herby smell, a little sweet on the tongue. Will let it cure and update after a few weeks.
