Day 0 - Starting germination in a paper towel on 26 Aug and ready for the jiffy pellet today 28 Aug. Will start day 1 once she’s pops her head through the soil. Went ahead and started this one because I don’t think the first one I’ve got going is going to make it. She’s growing a bit each day but don’t really see progress in actual vegetation and I don’t think she’ll make it. I’ll let her go a little longer but she might be on the decline. I used a self made soil for her with compost, peat moss, vermiculite and perlite and last two grows thrives in it but seems like my C4, Gelato and LSD-25 are liking it anymore. Will go back to foxfarm and see if that makes any difference.
Day .5 - She’s popped her head through the soil and once she’s fully opened up, I will call it day 1. Still in the humidity dome right now but will probably go to her 3 gallon pot tomorrow. Decided against using foxfarm soil and ordered a bag of Coast Of Maine’s Stonington Organic Super Soil. Read a ton of good reviews on it and like the idea of using just tap water and no nutes until around day 30 then they say to top with fish bone meal every 30 days until harvest. We’ll see how this grow and my second Gelato and LSD-25 do in the COM soil.
Day 1 - She has opened up and looking healthy so far. Just finished placing her into her 3 gallon fabric pot and using Coast Of Maine’s soil. This is supposed to be a super soil designed for cannabis apparently and all I should have to worry about is water. At around 30 days, I’ll have to top dress with fish bone meal. I’m curious to see how this girl does in this soil so fingers are crossed for a decent grow.
Day 2 - Nothing to update, just took her out for updated pictures and make sure she’s doing ok. Using a clear glass over top of her to keep the humidity up for her. So far, no issues with the COM soil and we’ll see how she does as she progresses.
Day 3 - So far so good. Just sprayed her and the soil lightly with some water. Just letting her do her thing right now.
Day 4 - Nothing new, she seems to really like the Coast of Maine soil and I like not having to pH the water or add nutes. Gave her just a little spray with a spray bottle and keeping a clear glass over top of her to keep the humidity up for now.
Day 5 - Just gave the girl another little light spray with the water bottle today and still keeping a clear glass over her for humidity. She’s looking pretty decent in the COM soil and I think she’s actually doing better than any other girl I’ve started before.
Day 6 - Nothing happening today, just another light spray of water and keeping the glass over her for higher humidity.
Day 7 - Ending week one and she looks great. A hell of a lot better than my current C4. Definitely think she’s liking the Coast of Maine soil and I’m liking it so far too. Gave the soil another light mist of soil and possibly next week I’ll start giving her more than a mist, depending on how she grows.
