Transplanted from 1gal. to 5 gal. pot yesterday. All went fine. Had to buried stem 6” into the 1 gal. pot so roots at bottom, so went to 5 gal. That’s 3 moves in three weeks. Taking it like a champ. Getting to 4th node so going to top soon. Just waiting for girl to settle in to new 5 gal. home first. Going to try extreme pruning and training techniques so may end up killing it, but have to learn from loss that may happen. Till next post good growing all.
Topped right after last weeks photo. Then I topped it again 5 days later. This girl loves being cut. Every time I cut it it gushes with new growth. Going to keep topping till have many cola stems at a controlled height. Good plant to learn techniques. It seems to handle it all in stride. We’ll see because I plan on stressing hard.
Well seems to be really healthy. I wired her down a few days ago. Took it well. Considering topping all the colas. A little scared I may push her too far. I’m undecided. So far so good.
Uneventful week
Plucked some leaves, tightened the wires and said a prayer to the weed gods. Something worked because seems healthy and happy. Going 12/12 this upcoming week. Wish me luck.
She did well this week. Filled in heavy. Went 12/12 two days ago. Partial defoliated this morning to let light and air through. If someone sees that I’m fucking up my plant with my timing or way I prune please let me know. Your advice is appreciated because I haven’t a clue. I’ve had some good looking plants but I get the feeling I’ve had very little to do with it’s out come. Photos of before defoliated and after. Where’s my screw ups?
Things went well. Filled in completely from its haircut last week. Flower sites are just beginning to stretch. May do another partial defoliation towards end of week. So far so good. Till next week Good Luck with your grows. Thanks for looking in.
Thinned leaf growth in center of plant just to open up for light and air. Can’t comment too much ,for all is going well. My last grow was my first auto grow. Now fem seed plants seem to grow at snails pace. Just impatient I guess. Till next week grow on
Looking good. Plant is short but the buds are long. Just hope they fatten up in coming wks.. Seems to be further along in flower the thought would be at 5-6 wks into bloom.
It’s all coming together. Another 2 weeks to harvest maybe. Starting to fatten up. No more base ferts. just Flower Fuel. Handles all well. especially since she started early life damaged. I should have veged another 2-3 weeks plant would have been much more productive but I do like working a shorter plant. Till next time “Grow On”
Just finishing off. The whole middle of the plant turned a nice dark purple. Resins just starting to turn Amber. I don’t like to flower till amber exceeds 5 to 10 percent. I don’t enjoy the high as much when flowered to a point when-most would feel it’s ready. Just don’t like couch lock as it’s hard enough to get off my ass. I took photos three days ago. I put this week so as to show what she looked like just before harvest. I’m very happy with result. Especially since started life sickly. Will grow again, since I still have a couple seeds. I enjoy working with a small plant. Friends say I should grow to full potential but I don’t like handling and working with a tall monster. I don’t need great quantities but I do grow for quality. Going to harvest right now. Will post another week later today. Please look in on her and comment. Could use the advice.
Grew well. Love the look of the purple hue on leaves and buds. Buds didn’t fatten up as much as would have liked, but still quite good for a 20-22 inch plant. Hasn’t dried yet so can’t give bud density but they seen nice and tight. Didn’t take wet weight because I really don’t care what it weights. I’ll give finished weight when the buds are dried. This is a fine smelling, sticky strain. If it smokes anything like it smells those out there that like a fruity weed might like this strain. Tell me what you think. Will finish this diary when done and have smoked. Well it’s dry enough for a weigh in. I got 62.4 gems from this little beauty. Still needs to cure. I smoked a bud that I broke off while cleaning the dead leaves a couple weeks back. I have to change what I put up in post for taste. I said it was fruity and sweet but that was more smell then taste. This weed tastes a little chemy and peppery with a mild pine or citrus after tones. The high is uplifting and cerebral. The smoke wasn’t to harsh considering no cure time. Should smooth out with time. Well has full cure . This weed is dope. It developed a smooth chemy flavor with a light tangerine finish. This is a headbanger. I big hit will get your head spinning. Grew easy, real pretty plant and killer smoke what else could you ask for. I’d recommend.
The buds a tight and heavy with sticky resins. Nuggets didn’t swell up as much as would have like but still respectable for a plant that was 20” high and 20” across. My friend grew one of my seeds outside. Plant was huge. 10 ft tall with heavy buds. Too bad he lost 30% of crop due to bud rot. Too bad that we had lots of rain just around harvest time. The Fem seeds I have for this strain are very big. Twice the size of my GG or White widow and northern lights seeds. Buds produce large seed pods, almost thought it got pollinated. Will grow again with longer veg. time.
Thanks for looking in. I think my trimming just as I went 12/12 is going to slow transition into flower. Might stay in veg till heals from haircut. Probably should have gone 8-9wks veg anyway.
@Coconuts,Thanks have decided not to top colas. Funny I just defoliated this morning and adjusted wires came upstairs and saw ur post. Thanks again all post help me weight in on growing approaches. Going to add new photo of post trimming.
@@@JP148, I personally would just keep l.s.t the way you are for another week or two then flip to 12 and continue the l.s.t untill the stretch is over that way you end up with crownies and undergrowth some people just like crownies I like both as long as you give a light defoliation when undergrowth gets too bushy you'll have nuggets for days.
@MountainBudz,Thanks still really new to training. I topped her twice about a 10 days apart. Seemed to work on her ok. I feel I’m still a little green to have tried a true mainline. Maybe next grow I’ll try one. Good luck with your grows
Amazing looking plant and those dark colours make it so photogenic, love the purples in the colas, from what I hear the colder temperatures at the end of the flower cycle really brings them out, if you are lucky to harvest in winter or late autumn its the best time to bring out the most purples and reds :)
@@JP148, No doubt. Will be interesting to see how they grow and finish. I had to go back and double check my seeds after your observation. They're on the small side of average. So definitely different phenos.
This turned out to be one of my best grows. This and Somango were both healthy beasts.Bruce Banner turned out to be a really hard hitter. Had a sweet but not fruity taste with some chemy after tastes. Bud dried tight and dense. The SomangoXXL was the prettiest and smelliest plant grown so far. Buds were fat swollen resin soaked. Gorgeous, Smokes a bit harsh even after good cure. Good weed though.
