Its just on 10 weeks since flipping to 12/12 . A little over a week ago I beleived she was nearly ready because I noticed a change in the aroma and the leaves were way less sticky to touch and growth seamed to have stalled . So I started to flush . I think I jumped the gun . This last week I began to feed her again with PK boost as foliar spray and she responded . She is really starting to put on the weight again and flower is filling in nicely. Im going to keep on eye on her and I think I will let her go to 75 days and then see how she is doing. Some of the flower tops are getting a little sideways under weight so may have to prop these up if she continues to fill out . I must say I have really enjoyed this grow and Im impressed with how bushy she is for a small plant . Thinking the yeild may be a little better than I was expecting.
Hi @Buschwaker! First of all, really nice job! Secondly, do not harvest yet!!!!!! Due to Sativa domination she needs more time! Wait till you see around 70% cloudy 30% amber ratio and then go!!!
@Bushwacker, I have never grown this one. I wanna grow it is my plan as well. It is Sativa you need more time do not rush. If you are not sure cut a bit off and try. I would leave it longer. It also depends on the circumstances how you grow outdoor, indoor, how you train and feed so... it is different for everyone.
@Ferenc, Thanks for the compliment. I think your advice is sound . Just checking Barney's grow advisory and they do say 70-75 days and Im a little short of that .
Its not that I'm impatient its just that this is the longest grow I done so I'm in unfamiliar territory.
The changes in aroma and stickyness had me wondering if she was ready . Have you grown this strain yourself ?
I see other diaries and the harvest times appear to varry considerably ....some are like 20 weeks or more .
Hi Ferenc
I am going to let her mature a little more . I have noticed that some Sativa strains dont show a lot of amber trichomes but simply turn opaque. So I will watch closely and report so others growing this strain can learn .
The pure genetics of this strain had me excited from the begining . Jamacian and Laos landrace parents ...Yum !.
That reminds me that the strongest Sativa I even smoked was the Buddah Sticks or Thai Sticks we had back in the mid to late 70's. These so called sticks were fluffy amber brown Sativa buds on their stalks and tied around a bamboo split and dipped or painted with sticky hash oil . These were truely pshycedelic and puts paid to the modern myth that todays weed is stronger that anything before.
If Laughing Budda is half as good as as these little beauties from the past then I will be overjoyed . Cudos to Barneys Farm for their geneitic playfullness .
I cant wait .
