Immersed the seed in water for 24 hours with 1/4tsp per gallon of Bigfoot, from Oregon's Only Organics. I then planted directly into a 3 gallon pot, with Promix HP soil.
She sprouted within 24 hours, and I hope that is a sign of big things to come.
This week I gave a full and deep watering, with only a teaspoon of Bigfoot root stimulator. Going to get that foot well distributed through the entire medium.
The lower growth modules are really taking off. I’ve been tucking leaves, to get more light to them. Soon I’ll be able to give some light LST to get them to branch out further horizontally. Oh my. Trinity is kicking in. Losing focus. Gotta end it here. Thanks for looking!
She’s begun flowering, and is stretching her legs a bit. I’ve added 1tsp/gallon of Tiger Bloom to her diet. As the pistils form, the smell is starting to come on. It’s mild and pleasant at the moment, but I’ve read that these can become rather pungent. I’ve used light LST, tying the side branches down and outward with plant tying wire.
The stretch has begun, and she’s branching out like crazy. I’m tying them down to give them all adequate spacing. She’s drinking a lot more now, and I’ve flushed with sledgehammer on a water day, as a precaution. There’s some yellowing up top, and I’ve moved the light up. She’s really smelling up the place, and I’m thankful for my carbon filter. So far it is a sweet smell, but I still have a cold, so my olfactory senses are suspect at best. Judging by the weight of the pot, she’s due for a good healthy feeding tomorrow. That should clear up any yellowing, along with the light distance change.
She’s gained one more inch on top, but has bushed outward more. Everyone is in agreement that she’s begun to smell like feet. I noticed some nute burn, so today’s feeding was lighter than the last. There have been many new pistils, and others are starting to turn orange, so I expect her to start chunking out now.
She’s maintaining and getting frosty. She’s gone from smelling like feet to smelling a bit sweeter, for which I am grateful. 😀
I backed off on mutes a little bit, and she’s drinking much more. Plain water every other time.
She’s packing on weight and frost. Her smell is all over the place. Sweet. Feet. Sharp. I’ve added Cha Ching to the feeding schedule 2 days ago. I’ve never tried it. Not much longer now. 😊
Continuing to frost up and put on some mass. I hadn’t really noticed how much until I looked at it from an upward angle. I had some pH fluctuation indications on a few leaves, no doubt from the ChaChing. I always adjust pH, and have plenty of runoff, when I feed or water. No worries. She’s getting nothing but water for a couple weeks.
I’ve been feeding her nothing but water for a week. Trichomes are milky, with a few ambers. I’ll split the stem after this post. Then harvest in a few days.
Uuuh, everyone is growing Ripleys OG nowadays!! I have 3 in flowering and 2 in vegging! It's not my favourite smoke but it definetely hits you hard. I chose OG to grow because it is so easy to grow and yields really good! Very very forgiving genetics. Yours is looking shiny mate!
@growmcnoob, This was my last freebie from that purchase. I’ve got new ones that I’m eager to try next month. Specifically the blueberry and white widow.
@Rouge, I can’t wait! I haven’t had much variety in my stash, of late. It’ll be a great remedy for all the overtime I’ve been working. 😄 And just in time to get the munchies for Christmas!
@DeepRoot3d, Thanks! I’m really loving this girl. She’s been a treat to grow, and a treat to smell. I can only imagine the smoke will be a special treat!
Another grow in the books for you buddy. Looks like this one turned out absolutely beautiful. Great work! I can't wait to see what your next grows have in store for us all :D
@Stinkfox, just wait till you see how strong those side branchs become! I love this auto, she’s produce some thick dense buds before you know it. Super low maintenance. I have a few in my tent now so I’d love to follow your grow to see how well you do!
@Stinkfox, i see, autos are in a sense a bit more picky than the photos... anything hurts exponentially the harvest! Take care all the best and happy growing!
@CANNASIM, Thanks! I've been holding onto this seed for a while, due to height restrictions in my old tent.
I'm hoping to avoid some of the mistakes I made with my last batch of autos.
This one has the potential to get big.
Nice small bulky leaves on buds, i just love Ripleys OG's look ^^ Got three of them in my tent rn, they don't seem to grow much between weeks 3 and 5 of flowering but they do actually!
