Alright, first full week above ground is in the books for J. Comparatively slow root formation in comparison to T2. But both were looking 100% healthy and on the path to success. Decided to skip on the solo cup and go straight to the 5gal considering everything I've read has said minimal transplanting with autos is better. Filled the pots 4/5 of the way with the ocean forrest and mixed in a scoop of great white. Then we made fist sized indents and filled that with light warrior with a light dusting of GW and then watered to run off. Waited for it to stop draining and then placed the rooted plugs into the soil. So far everything has been going just peachy. We'll post updates throughout the week.
Thanks for stopping by!
9/16 update: running all bulbs is an absolute no go without A/C. Temps were in the 90's with a fan and exhaust running. Running 3-24w tubes and 2-25w pigtails each and temps are back to high 70's. Going to have to figure out a better air exchange system to draw in more cool air. Plants survived pretty well but I think T2's supplemental lights got a little far so she stretched a bit with the heat, but not toooo far. J is still on track.
9/17 update: watered both plants a little because the high temps dried the soil out to the point of dusty-ness. Both plants are seemingly on track from the previous few days. Going to consider the 11th day one for J and the 14th day one for T2, so I suppose we started week two a little early but oh well. Day 6 for J and day 3 for T2.
The lower main leaves are losing color quickly and have small spots forming. It came out funky from the get go, but this also happened to the first true set and I just pruned em. Now, its moved onto this set. Last picture is the problem leaf.
Yellowing leaves from bottom up can indicate a nitrogen deficiency. Looks like you are feeding a root stimulator and then bloom nutes. I’m not sure it will have high nitrogen content. But I would always test the soil ph before deciding how to progress. Bad ph can look Like different nutes deficiencies, because it locks out different nutrients, depending on the ph level you are at. I found that over using a root stimulator’s beyond the first few weeks set me up with high ph last grow.
@Ferenc, we've had a box fan in there since we started, after doing a little more research, it seems best to no run them with all of the bulbs. The idea is to move the lights with the plant as needed. I think next time around, I'm gunna spring for some COB leds since we'll be doing small autos for awhile. We can legally have 72 plants at the house so we plan to ramp things up eventually, but for now, we're keeping it small lol
@Ferenc, thanks bud! Looks like we're gunna be starting a battle with heat now that we've got the trons up and running. Check the rooms this morning and it was in the high 80's 😟
Hi. I had similar issue with leaves. Yellow spots, then later turn brown and the leave fall down. Maybe they need calcium and magnesium. I get a improve from my last grow giving calmag supplement from week 4.
Good luck.
@fullauto, that's what I was thinking so I picked up some calmag yesterday. Just waiting for the pots to dry out a bit and then I'm gunn hit em with calmag
