Hey everyone, so i think it's nearly that wonderful time to prepare for my very first harvest 😁 Some questions certainly remain, as i was expecting more yellowing of her fan leaves or at the least more purple (though there definitely is a hint of it hidden in the buds) I see the pistils on the main cola are starting to become more orange than white at this point yet the little buds near the base have not quite developed probably due to not employing any Lst for my first attempt thus light not reaching all the way down. Should a plant always be harvested in its entirety even though some sites are a bit "green" ? In closing i would estimate she may yield roughly half an ounce once properly cured which isnt a spectacular harvest, but hey.. Its half an ounce more than when i started so its all good 😛

1 week post germ with very slow growth (indoor auto) I think the 1L plastic containers are too large & not allowing good air flow to the soil. If i wait for the mix to dry out should I re-pot ASAP ? Size up to fabric bags 3L or size down to Solo cups? ✋💀 S

The reason your seedling is growing so slowly is your temperatures and humidity are too low. Cause ing LVPD (Leaf vapor pressure deficit) This imbalance affects your seedlings ability to effectively pull nutrients through it's root system. Try to increase your temperatures to 77-78 with 60 to 65% humidity. Typically you should start your auto flower seeds in their final pot size they do not like to be moved. If left in small pot too long she will be stunted. Even though they are in larger pots you would water then like you were growing them in solo cups until they have,a large enough root system check out my current grows week 2 gives an explaination of LVPD with some links for more info. You can see my stategy for starting and watering auto flowers. Over watering can also cause nutrient absorption issues. Feel free to message me anytime. Hope this helps.

How does one keep the nodal spacing tighter on the main stem, should the LEDs be closer? Her leaves also seem rather small for a plant with that heighth. #firsttimegrowerproblems

@Shakedown92 you are correct. Lowering the lights is a good way to control stretch. They farther the light the more stretch but also dont wanna be too close depends on how strong your light is. And for the other part I would recommend running good genetics from a trusted breeder. Do some research on which breeder is best in your region. You look to be doing good though keep up the good work. Goodluck 👍🏼

Yes, keeping the light closer will make the nodes really tight, but that can only be done if your lights give low heat, else you will give your plant heat stress. screw in led bulbs with the plastic cap removed work great for this. and you can keep them a few inches away. Also keeping the night and day temperatures close help in keeping the nodal space tight.

Even though she has started blooming keep using veg nutrients and your veg light which is mostly a blue spectrum. If you use the bloom which is heavier in red spectrum it will lead to more stretching in your plant. Once she is 3/4 through her stretch then switch over to bloom nutes and lights.

I can't say for sure but that stunted one be careful with it. It needs to grow a bit before I would call it but I would suspect it could be a plant virus possibly. Don't freak out just yet. Post a photo next week from above the plant so we can see the leaves color and shape. Some times if they are strong growers and throw out some normal leaves it will look like it's out growing the issue. Just be careful wash your hands good and tools that have touched the plant to play it safe until we see what she gives you next week. I had one on my Blackberry Kush grow and there are a few more floating around GD with similar issues. Stuff like this happens when growing.

Ocean Forest tends to be on the hot side so be careful with it so it doesn't burn your roots. Most people mix in more perlite or coco coir etc. Some people will use it full strength no issues others swear it burned the hell out of their plants. Go figure. I would layer your pots with a stronger mix on the bottom half then go with a weaker strength mixture of FFOF and what ever you want to lighten up the nutrient content of the upper half of the pot. Only advice I can offer.
