This is my first inside grow! My 4 photoperiod plants are in a 4×4 grow tent. The 8 autos are in a space a made myself about 6×3 with all the same equipment except different hlg lights for the 2 types. I seeded these 12 plants 12 days ago on Friday August 30th in rapid rooter pods and then transplanted those into small jiffy pots that i put into 5 gallon grow bags on Sept 2nd. Using compost from my local zoo for the soil. I took all these pictures yesterday afternoon Sept 10th. They aren't technically in veg yet but wanted to document their progress through the seedling stage as well

I am a week behind here posting but I've been very busy. These are the pics i took last week when i gave them their first round of nutrients and then again 4 days ago immediately after i did LST on them. I'll get some more pics today after i give them their 2nd round of nutes and post some more pics later this week for week #3 in the diary. Their growth is amazing to see after that first round of nutes!

Gave the second set of nutes to the autos this week. Pleased with the growth rate on all but the Short Rider #2 (it's got a gnarly looking first set of leaves so I'm not holding out hope for it) and the White Widow #2 (it's finally coming on but is a shrimp compared to its bigger sister). 3 or 4 of the girls have light brown, almost white on the very tips of a couple of their leaves. Not sure if it's a calmag deficiency or some kind of nutrient burn or what. Anybody with some insight on what it could be please comment. I'd like to nip that right off the bat if i can figure out what's causing it. I am very happy with the growth rate on 8 of the 12 girls though and i think 3 of the other 4 are coming around, they're just a week behind the others. One other thing I'd like some feedback on if somebody knows, should i just top that short Rider auto #2 once it starts growing a couple regular looking sets of leaves, if it ever does? I know a lot of people say not to top an auto, and i honestly don't plan to top any of the others, even my photo-periods, I'm just going to LST the shit out of them as they go, but if topping that one help down the road I'm open for it.

Took the week off of giving nutrients because I'm seeing some nutrient burn and wanted to water them a couple times thoroughly to flush out as much as i could. Will prolly give both sets their 3rd round of nutes tomorrow or Tuesday though. They are only getting watered a half gallon each every 3-4 days. I did however buy a box of 200 garden staples and performed LST on 9 of the 12 ladies. Nerve wracking but they are taking to it beautifully. Not sure if the 3 runt autos will ever catch up to the others but oh well. Ive got 9 beautiful ladies!

My wife and I had our third son Oct 1st so it's been a very busy week and a half since i last posted for my week 4 progress. These photos were taken yesterday Oct 10th and are the very last day of week 5 for the ladies. I haven't done much with them except watered once on Oct 6th and did another heavy round of LST yesterday. I'm watering later today again. I'm amazed at the results of the LST so far. The autos are really taking off at this point and i think they're hitting their stretch or very close to it. I took photos once again after i did LST and one photo with 2 of my 4 autos LST'd and 2 that hadn't been yet just to compare the difference side by side. Haven't given nutes for over 2 weeks because i think the soil is too hot. I'm using straight compost from my local zoo. Amazing stuff. I will hit them with bloom nutes once they end their stretch and start flowering. It's starting to get exciting!

Today, October 15th is day 46 from seed (Aug 30th). LST has bushed the ladies out quite nicely, now i just have to keep tucking leaves while letting them grow vertically. Maybe some minor LST from here on out. Still haven't given nutes since about week 3. There's plenty of nitrogen in the compost to get them through veg apparently. I will be giving bloom nutes to the 8 autos starting on my next watering because they are officially flowering. They aren't very tall but I'm assuming this is from the LST because the autos i grew outside this summer without LST were 18-24 inches tall when i harvested them. None of the inside ones are over about 6-10 inches above the soil line at the moment but hopefully they stretch a good amount here in the next couple of wks while they are flowering??? I'm new to this. Only had one outside grow this summer so I'm still learning everything. Anybody with some insight please comment with something. If you see I'm not doing something right or not doing something i should be please feel free to let me know!

Today Oct 21st is day 52. I just got done giving all 12 plants some nutes for the first time in about 4 weeks. Veg for the photos and bloom for the autos. I also defoliated all 12 plants of older leaves and leaves that were blocking bud sites and to allow for better air flow. The photos were getting super thick! Also did some minor adjusting of the LST here and there on the photos. Trichomes are starting to cover the buds. Shits gettin real! 😍

Today is the last day of week 8, day 56 Oct 24th. Auto-flowers are really budding out and the 4 smaller ones are now fully stretched and caught up. Buds are fattening up nicely. Photoperiods are extremely thick and starting to reach upwards now. I'm going to have to do weekly defoliation on them i think. The only thing I'm very concerned about is i found a thrip infestation on Lemon OG #2 and White Widow #2 auto-flowers. Everything I've read is you're not supposed to spray with the Mammoth P stuff i have once they're flowering so I don't know what to do!?!? Somebody please help with some knowledge! I can't pick all these fuckers off or i would. Do i need to pull those 2 plants out and trash them? There's a couple on the others as well but nothing like those 2. Is it too late to do anything about it? Is this going to affect the flower?? I'm at a loss here...

Today Nov 4th is actually in the middle of week 10, day 67, but i was too busy last week to get pics. Ive been fighting the thrips for 2 weeks now. They've infested Lemon OG Haze #2, White Widow #2 and half of Super Skunk #2. I doused them twice with spinosad which didn't seem to do much except prevent the further spread of them. Then i got lady bugs on Friday and unleashed 300 of them in the 3×6 area. They've been in there 2 days so the coming days will tell if they'll do much good. The photoperiods on the other hand are doing great, no signs of pests whatsoever and they're getting taller by the day. I'm going to give them probably another month of veg before i switch them to 12/12. That should put them somewhere around 1.5-2 feet tall before the stretch. And they all have 10-15 colas 😍

My Tangie photoperiods small leaves are curling upwards around the edges. Anybody have a reason for this? It's the only one of the 4 exhibiting symptoms like this and only one of my autos of the 8 did the same thing. Is it too much or too little water? Not enough airflow?

Hello KCMOR8RH8R , your girls are looking good. I looks like the tangie is a little bit short on the Nitrogen and maybe a little bit overwatered. Not really to worry about if you let it just dry out a little bit. My advice is raise your ph a little to 6.2 or 6.3 for more uptake of nitrogen for your girl. Also the temprature in daytime is maybe too high in combination with nighttime temprature. Try to aim at 23.5 degrees celcius in daytime and keep your nighttime as it is right now. Hope this was an helpfull answer my friend. Keep on growing. Peace 👍

These pictures were taken Saturday November 9th, day 71. I'm flushing Lemon OG Haze #1, White Widow #1 and Super Skunk #1 in anticipation of pulling and drying them at the end of week 11 or 12. Buds are fattening up nicely and super sticky and dank. The other 5 autos are anywhere from a week to 2 weeks behind those 3. Also just a couple observations, Super Skunk #1 is completely different looking from Super Skunk #2 and unique from all the rest period. It never got very big before flowering and the leaves are darker than any of the others, but those buds sure are DANK. And the Short Riders i got because they were supposed to be shorter and i was sticking them in the back of the grow area where the ceiling is the shortest, but they seem to be the tallest of all 4 strains of auto-flowers lol 🤷‍♂️ The photoperiods are shooting up nicely. I'm probably giving them until the end of November before i switch them to 12/12 and start the flowering process. The LST has bushed them out well and I'm hoping for about a dozen colas per plant!

Today is day 78. I'm flushing Lemon OG Haze #2, White Widow #2 and Super Skunk #2. I'm going to pull those probably 9 days from now when all the #1's are done drying. Short Rider #1 and #2 got another dose of late bloom nutes today because their buds are still relatively small compared to the others and all the hairs are white and sticking straight out so they have 2 or 3 weeks left imo, even though all 8 of these autos got started on the same day (August 30th) The photoperiods are shooting up. The tallest ones are 13 inches above the tops of the grow bags and I'm planning on switching the lights to 12/12 when they hit 20 inches because I've heard they can double in size during the stretch and the tent is only 6'8" tall. I haven't given them nutes in 2 weeks because I'm getting what i think is slight nute burn on some scattered leaves and today was the first day in 6 days that I even watered them. I felt like the compost needed to dry out a bit. I probably won't give nutes again until I switch the lights here in another 2-4 weeks or so. I defoliated them today, taking maybe 15 leaves off each that looked sickly or were blocking lower future bud sites. The only real concern i have on them is Skywalker OG and Master Kush both have really light green leaves compared to the Blue Dream and Tangie. Is this normal? And nirvana seeds lists those 2 as the indicas and the other 2 as the sativas but their leaf characteristics are opposite of that. From my understanding sativas should have the slimmer skinnier leaves and indicas the fatter wider leaves but that's completely opposite of what I'm seeing 🤷‍♂️ oh well i guess! As long as i get hella colas and some stank ass buds out of em in a few months idgaf! 😂

White Widow #1 was the biggest of the 3 I harvested in the last day. Still not the weight i wanted from any of my plants but 19.45 grams is better than the others and getting closer to the oz per plant goal i have set. It was a 91.4 wet weight. White Widow #2 weighed 89.65 grams wet. It weighed 19.03 dry. Grand total of 39.43 grams dry bud from 181.05 wet weight.

One of my 2 autos looked completely different from the other. Was smaller and darker green leaves than the other but also ended up having some DANK frosty buds. The other is probably 4 times bigger and I'm giving it another week.

Super Skunk #1 was a little dwarf plant, by far the smallest out of the 8. Beautiful dank frosty buds but only netted 7.4 grams of them after drying. Wet weight was 35.3. Expecting much better things weight wise from #2. Super Skunk #2 had a wet weight of 114 grams with a dry weight of 23.84 grams. Much better! That's a total of 149.3 wet and 31.24 grams dry.

I gave it 10/10 stars because the smell is like dank lemons and i love it. Had to gently squeeze a bud every day just so i could sniff it over and over. Can't wait for it to cure properly so i can taste it! Buds are frosty and dense. Already ordered more.

I harvested 3 of my auto-flowers last night and this morning. This is Lemon OG Haze #1. Wet weight was 72 grams. I overestimated what i thought the buds would weigh after they dried. Only 14.67 grams off Lemon OG Haze #1. They are amazing quality but not very much so kind of disappointing 😩 I'm just going to let my next batch of autos grow without much training because my outdoor ones this summer with absolutely zero nutes did twice that weight, just the quality wasn't near what this one is. I just harvested Lemon OG Haze #2 a week later. Wet weight of all the buds with stems that were left was 94.75 grams. Dry weight on it was 19.3 grams. That's a total of 166.75 grams wet weight and 33.97 dry weight between the 2 plants. Not what i had hoped, but I'm happy with the quality. Will get better on quantity.

Today is Thursday, Nov 21st, day 84. I'm cutting down Lemon OG Haze #2, White Widow #2 and Super Skunk #2 tomorrow evening. Short Rider #1 and 2 I'll give a 13th week to because the buds are still fattening up and still white hairs sticking straight out from them. They got their last round of nutes a week ago so 2 wks of flushing ought to be good. After that ive got to clean the auto flower area with bleach water to remove any thrip larvae so my next grow doesn't have the same issues hopefully. My next round of autos has already been seeded 9 days ago and is in the tent with my photoperiods now, awaiting transfer to 5 gallon grow bags and into the sterilized autoflower area. About those photoperiods...I did one more round of LST with some twisty hook things i bought from the hardware back a while ago to try and bend the tallest branches down a bit and buy some more time and utilize as much space as i can before i switch from veg to flowering. My problem with them now is some kind of deficiency is going on. Don't think it's nute burn. I haven't given them any nutes in about 2 weeks. I am pretty sure I've got a nitrogen deficiency going on because my leaves have slowly turned more light green over the last month+ and the veins of the leaves are darker on those. I went out and bought Sensi CalMag Xtra (4-0-0) as well and been foliar feeding them the last 3 days. Not sure what the minor rusting is on some of the leaves, whether it's leaf burn from the foliar feeding with lights on or some kind of other deficiency going on. Please if somebody knows what it looks like my plants are suffering from here, hit me up in the comments so i can address it properly. Not sure if i should hit them hard with veg nutes again for the next few weeks before i switch the lights, or instead of foliar feeding give them the Sensi in their next watering, or if i should be foliar feeding right before lights out incase I'm burning them. Or all of the above/ none of the above. I have no idea, this is my first rodeo with inside photoperiods. My compost comes with enough nitrogen to get the auto-flowers through veg without nutes but I'm thinking its running out on these photos earlier...?? I also had moved my space heater from the autoflower area to the photo tent about a week ago. The autos didn't need it anymore and i thought the photos might benefit from it since they're still in veg but i turned it off yesterday because i think they might be too heat stressed as well at a constant 80° instead of 70° daytime and 65° nighttime like it was before. I don't know anymore, I feel like there are too many variables I'm trying to juggle all at once to figure out what's going on with these lately! Someone lay some knowledge on me!! Lol

Today is Friday Nov 29th, Day 92. I'm going to get a dry weight on Lemon OG Haze #2, White Widow #2 and Super Skunk #2 tomorrow evening after work and pull/trim both Short Rider #1 and #2 either tomorrow or Monday on my day off. Just like the 2 Super Skunk plants, the 2 Short Rider plants seem to be very different from each other. Both super dank, just very different looking 🤷‍♂️ Monday will be dedicated to cleaning the autoflower area floor and walls with bleach water to remove any possible traces of thrip larvae before I transplant the next 8 auto-flowers in, that are 2 weeks old now. The photoperiods the past week i have been working on getting back to healthy plants. They had been slowly turning lighter and lighter green over the course of the last month which i didn't identify as a nitrogen deficiency until now. I flushed each of the 4 plants with 21 gallons of ph'd water and then added 2 inches of fresh compost above the soil. 2 days later i watered 1 gallon each with calmag because i also had rust spots showing up on leaves of each the past couple weeks. I gave them another round of veg nutes tonight and spread the branches out on each plant by forming a circle with these rubber coated twisty tie down things i found at the hardware and inserting it inside the outer branches. Think it worked well and spread them out helping light penetrate deeper into the plants. I also defoliated each of any leaves that were moderately affected by the calmag deficiency. It's only been a week or less since i flushed and i already feel like they are turning darker green again and rebounding. Hoping maybe another 2-3 weeks until they are big enough to switch the lights to 12/12 and start the flowering process.

These took the longest out of my 4 strains of autoflowers (95 days) which was weird because it was supposed to be the quickest to harvest lol. Both plants were much different from each other as well which was weird. They both produced about the same amount though of quality buds. Happy with all my nirvana seeds bud quality

I harvested both Short Rider #1 and #2 on Dec 1st, day 95. Short Rider #1 was a total wet weight of 90.42 grams and 22.75 grams dried. Short Rider #2 was a wet weight of 88.65 grams and 22.08 grams dried. First grow of the autoflowers was a success. The bud is awesome. Next round ive already started and it's 2 weeks in now. Don't think I'll be LSTing these much if any to see what effect it has.

These pictures were taken on day 99 of my photoperiod grow, the first day of week 15. My first autoflowers are all done and harvested. All that's left are the 4 photoperiod varieties in the 4×4 grow tent. I have been nursing them back to health after i had let them get nitrogen deficiency and a calmag deficiency as well. I flushed them out a couple wks ago with 21 gallons of water each and added 2 inches of fresh compost to the top of the soil. I've been alternating 1 GH Flora series watering once a week with 1 Sensi Calmag watering once a week ever since. So each is getting 2 gallons of water a week. The leaves have slowly come back from light lime green to a much darker shade. Still not 100% back, but getting closer. My concerns going forward are whether it's alright for the vegetation to be as thick as it is. Do i need to do some heavy defoliation or wait for flowering or do i not even need to? What are the benefits of it? And when is it time to flip the lights? My tent is 80 inches tall and my plants are now anywhere from 14-19 inches above the edges of my 7 gallon grow bags. My plan was to let them get to between 20-24 inches above and then flip the lights, but i also don't want to run out of room lol. I understand that some strains double their size during their stretch which would put them at 5 feet tall or so with the bags. That leaves me with 20 inches above for the lights and space between. Lastly there's a really cool branch on Master Kush. Never seen anything like it. The lower stem starts round like a normal one and about halfway up it it flattens out into a ribbon like shape about a half inch wide. Really weird! 😂 I'm having a blast doing this and learning it all

Do i need to defoliate or is it alright for my plants to be this bushy? Just worried about airflow for the coming flowering period. If so, how do i do it? Ive heard of some people that just take off all vegetation up to a certain point in the plant

It’s okay right now. If you want you can lollipop the plant. After 2 weeks of flowering you can defoliate a little. Right now I would leave them how they are. Good luck

Took these pictures tonight, Dec 12th, day 105. I switched my lights to 12/12 today so I've officially hit the end of veg. Blue Dream is the tallest at this point at 23 inches above the top of the grow bag at its highest branch. Skywalker OG is 22 inches at it's highest. Master Kush is 19 inches. And Tangie is the shortest at around 17 inches. Excited to see these ladies make the switch and stretch and start producing phat ass buds!

I took these pictures this morning Dec 19th, day 112. They've been switched over to 12/12 for a week now to initiate flowering but i haven't seen much of a difference in height yet. I gave them their first set of transition nutes to get them started between veg and flower on Saturday Dec 14th. Yesterday on Dec 18th i went down to give them a plain watering and they looked pretty sad, especially Master Kush, so i watered each one with 4 gallons of ph'd water. Afterwards i rearranged them in the tent so the Blue Dream and Skywalker were under the same light because those were the 2 tallest ones and put Master Kush and Tangie under the other light because they were the shortest. I adjusted the lights accordingly and I think it'll make they more happy because the lights are more uniformly over each plant now that ive got them grouped better. I plan on getting 2 more lights in there but it's going to have to wait until after this first batch is harvested. I also mixed up a liter of CalMag foliar spray and soaked the 4 plants with almost the whole bottle of it just before lights out. I went to check on them this morning and they've responded well! Master Kush especially is perked up. Her leaves were all pointed downwards last night and now they're all stretching up and out. I think they're all going to start stretching any day now and hopefully be happy plants from here on out. They certainly look 100% better than a month ago when my nitrogen and calmag deficiencies were at their worst. Today's measurements were Blue Dream at 25 inches above the grow bag. Skywalker OG at 22 inches. Master Kush at 21 inches. And Tangie at 18 inches.

Busy week. Got pictures Christmas Day after the kiddos did their thing. Got pictures today the last week of their 17th week! They're officially flowering but haven't stretched like i was expecting. Maybe 4 inches of growth all around...

Busy week. I went a week without watering last week and watered it with CalMag finally last Sunday Dec 29th. Then went a whole 6 more days without watering until yesterday Saturday Jan 4th with early bloom nutes. Hella colas are forming all over all plants and trichomes are just starting to show up. Was hoping for them to stretch more than they have so the colas would be even bigger, not sure why they haven't. Maybe only 4 inches growth since i switched the lights nearly a month ago and i was expecting them to double in height from everything i had read up on them 🤷‍♂️ as long as the bud quality is as good as the autos then I'll be happy though. Ive got 2 more HLG 100's on the way that should be here this week so that each plant has its own dedicated light. Hoping that increases yield. I think that's most of my yield problem. It certainly can't hurt

Ok so it's been a BUSY fuckin week lol. I started writing the summary of week 19 back on Saturday Jan 11th, day 135. But my Chiefs are on a super bowl run here and i got busy getting ready for the tailgate and game and forgot to finish so I'm finishing it today Wednesday Jan 15th and then I'm going to post week 20 immediately afterwards because tomorrow is technically the last day of week 20... So week 19 was eventful for my photoperiods. Part good and part bad. They needed a major defoliation. On Jan 4th I took off half a grocery bag full of leaves that were either dead, very yellow or really spotty and damaged from the calmag issue back in veg. Also removed some of the big upper fan leaves that were blocking colas. This opened them up a lot to more light penetration and air flow. I kind of went too long between waterings the last few weeks. I gave them a round of early bloom nutes the following day after defoliating and they perked up. Then on Monday Jan 6th my 3rd HLG 100 arrived for the tent so i quickly set it up but in my haste i forgot to make sure the new timers switch was set to timer on instead of outlet on. The 3rd light was on in the tent for about 36 hours straight until i got back from work Tuesday around midnight, so 2 nights of 12/12 were disrupted. I immediately switched it on and they were back on their 12/12 schedule by Wednesday day/night. I watered them with plain water Thursday. Then i picked up the 4th and final HLG 100 light on Friday Jan 10th. I can tell the lights have had a big impact on fattening the colas up already! Doesn't look like the light fuck up on my part has had much of an effect on the girls

Didnt do much this week. Jan 10th was day 134 and the first day of week 20. That day was the first day i had 4 HLG 100's in the tent so each plant had a dedicated light. I lowered each one from about 18 inches down to 8-10 inches from the tops since they no longer had to cover 2 plants each. I can tell it's fattening the colas up majorly! Wish i would have had 4 lights in there from the get go. They were looking good that day but i didnt check on them Sat Sun or Mon because the Chiefs game and recovery lol. Went to check on them Tuesday the 14th before work and they looked like shit. All leaves were drooped pretty much straight down so I frantically mixed up mid-bloom nutes in 2.5 gallons of water for each plant and fed them. By the next morning they had bounced right back and perked back up. I took another set of pics mid day today Thursday Jan 16th, day 140 from seed, the last day of week 20...

Been slacking on posting. My Chiefs are playing in the SB tomorrow! These pictures are from week 21 which was over a week ago. Colas are fattening up. I gave them a round of late bloom nutes the weekend before last and watered with calmag halfway through the week as well

I've just read you're comments for this week, dont start giving them bloom.nutes until you notice the flower has stopped its pre flower strech otherwise it will not stretch - it will just start putting work into the bud sites. Other than that you're plants look great o alot LST going on! Check out what I've got going on a few different strains too!

@Bashgrowsitall1989, thanks. Yeah for sure some better growth afterwards. It's only been a few days but the photoperiods are shooting up and the half of the auto-flowers that were a week behind the others have shot up to the same size if not bigger than the other 4 now. Now these buds need to start fattening up!

@KCMOR8RH8R, Dude they are looking nice! Well done on the defoliation - have u noticed any.more growth because of it? I'd hold off it now until nearer the end otherwise you could stunt it, I tend too trim week 4 and 5 and then week 6 and 7 they just shoot up! So glad it's looking good for you my man!

Anybody know when i should give the photoperiods their first dose of bloom nutes? I plan on watering them tomorrow and they would have been due for veg nutes but i made the switch to 12/12 tonight so i don't think i need veg nutes anymore

I can't get the hang of looking through the jeweler's loupe to see the trichomes. It's a total pain in the ass. It's almost easier to just take a picture with the cellphone and zoom in, just not as magnified. From what i can tell though the trichomes on the 3 that are most mature is a weird mix. I'd say they're still 60-65% clear, 25% milky and maybe 10-15% amber. I planned on giving those 3 another week of flushing and then pulling them and letting the other 5 go another week or two depending on the plant

Ive just ordered some ladybugs. 300 of them was the smallest they sell lol but I'll prolly release a couple dozen on the auto-flowers and keep the rest in the fridge for a couple weeks in case i need another batch of them before the plants are done flowering. I'm estimating another 3 weeks for the autos with the biggest buds and another 4 weeks for the others. Hopefully the ladybugs do the trick and kill off these thrips before i harvest. I'll receive them by next Wednesday or Thursday....😫

As you can see my Tangie photoperiod, one of my super skunk autos and one of my short rider autos didn't transplant very well. They are clearly behind the other 9 plants. I'm considering them a week later than the others and I'm not sure the Short Rider one will recover because it lost one of its 2 initial leaves on the first node. I haven't given any nutes, i probably won't until they get to 6 sets of nodes. Not sure when to start lst. I didn't do that to my very first outside grow this summer. I will add more details about temp, humidity, nutes ect as i go along here in the coming weeks
the end.
