Day, energy yet enough Indica for relaxing. A bit heavier than I thought but is mellowing out as I cure it in the jars.

I trimmed some of the bigger sugar leaves and then hung plants in 45-50% humidity for about 5 days. I then did a final trim, I'm not an expert by the way, and cured in glass jars opening and closing the lid as needed. The smoke is a really nice flavor and continues to mellow out. The bud has some medical and pain relief but a nice energetic high. Wet it was about 11 ounces and 6 Dry. This was better than expected. Some of the bud is a bit fluffy and less tight than preferred but some of it is really nice. There was some variation between the plants. E.g. three of the plants had more dense bud with orange and amber while the other two were more fluffy with a lot of white. I enjoyed growing this strain and it was easy to do as a beginner!

Grow Questions

This is my first attempt at growing the Tangerine Dream Auto, how much time left on these? Some of the trics. Are becoming cloudy on the top of the larger buds. Feeding nutrients every other watering and they seem to be healthy.

remember 2 week flush before harvest its important to flush all nutriment out and when you observe the tricome they are ready when 80% of them are turning amber from what i see and whats told here i say a other 3 to 4 week max so flush is coming next week

I'm in my 11th week and have stopped adding nutrients last week. I'm planning on harvesting at the end of this week, I'm following the advice given two weeks ago. Does this seem like a good timeline to follow? I'm looking for a nice clean high, not too heavy effect. Thanks

Hi @Jlbgrow! Pistils can be a clue, if you noticed that new pistils have stopped appearing and old pistils have almost all turned red and curly, but the best way to ensure it's the right time is to look at the trichomes with a magnifier/microscope. Clear/Transparent/Skinny trichomes mean it's too soon, Milky/Cloudy/Fat trichomes mean the harvest window is open, Amber trichomes mean the harvest window is ending, and THC is degrading but CBD/CBN components are exploding. If you don't want a couchlocking effect, you should harvest once the first amber trichomes appear (5~10%), most of the trichomes should be milky/cloudy but not clear. Flushing for 2 weeks is a good thing if you're confident you gave enough P+K earlier to ensure the maximum growth for your buds. You can still give some sugar/molasses during the last days. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information. Enjoy your harvest! 👊

For some reason my cover photo say 8 weeks even though I'm on week 10. Any suggestions?

@Weird_Jimmy, Oh I see that's why it says 8 weeks instead of 10. Thanks

@Weird_Jimmy, yes I didn't have any photos from those weeks and started the journaling late. Thanks

These seem to be going great. Next time I'm going to concentrate on training them better to maximize grow space and light.

Since the weather is getting cooler up north here, I've added a desk top ceramic heater to the grow space, under the shelf where the plants sit. Since the heater can be set to go off if the temp drops below 69*, this is keeping the temp. about 69*-72* in the evenings and is also keeping the humidity around 45-55. I have a small desktop fan creating a nice gentle breeze as well. Trying to keep the lights about 10" above the plants I have two sets of fluorescents that are a little closer. The LEDs directly above, are the ones that are a bit intense so I'm making sure the plant are not too close. They seem to have slowed down on gaining any height and are now just fattening up the buds. -Also with the low humidity they are taking a bit more water.

In two days, I'm going to stop the nutrients and go to pure water for the last couple of weeks as suggested by another grower.
