Day 35: The Cream Caramel is definitely the most chill of the two plants in the tent. Maintains pretty consistent PH and TDS levels. Gave her some very light defoliation and started LST. Changed up water and feed.
Day 36: PPMs slightly elevated (605) and PH 6.5. Added 1/2 gallon filtered water and a bit of PH down. PPMs now sitting at 532 and PH at 5.7.
Day 37: Happy girl. PPM 542 and PH 5.7. Humidity has been running pretty high in the tent (75%) over the past few days with the jungle like growth of my two plants. Defoliated her and and the Grandaddy Black pretty liberally today. Hopefully, I didn't get too carried away but I'm pretty confident both plants will recover like champs. 🤞
Day 38: PPM/553; PH/5.8. Added 1/4 gallon plain filtered water. Reservoir now PPM/422; PH 5.8. Already bouncing back from her defoliation and humidity in tent has lowered to 65%.
Day 39: PPM 397; PH/5.7. Left her alone. Due for a top up and feed tomorrow. Looking lively under the new light and after her trim.
Day 40: PPM 410; PH/5.7; Added about 1/4 gallon juice: PPM/553; PH/5.5. Sitting at PPM: 457; PH 5.7. Tied a few branches down to round things out.
Day 41: PPM 422; PH 5.5. Taking a much better shape after being tied down and stretched out a bit.
@StunFlower, I’m a first timer btw in week 5 of veg.. everything’s looking smooth just getting her to stretch more the next 2 or 3 weeks.. do you run full spectrum the whole way through? Or just wait till you flower? I see some people do in veg & some don’t
hello fellow sonoma seeds grower! :) Just wait a couple months till the cure really brings out the taste. I'm still smoking my last little bit from my Sept/19 harvest and let me tell ya, truly a unique creamy / caramel sweet flavor. After about 5 days post harvest, they were ready to be jarred and "snapped" off the stems perfectly with no strings. If you think it's strong now, just wait man...I was pleasantly surprised the longer she ages like a fine wine :)
@stunflower, Just wait :) I remember my first crown I delved into and was some of the most interesting sort of smoke in a long time, mind you this plant was directly under the light and when they got too big, I couldn't rotate them anymore as I had a ScroG setup. The nug shot that is dark purple literally had a spicy smell and taste to it...so a sweet smooth hit, followed by spice...incredibly different and interesting to say the least. I plan to grow this on the norm as the consistency on potency is spot on...very resilient as well from being under fluorescent bulbs for 4 weeks in a makeshift tote grow box, stressed them out quite a bit too and almost lost them, to a tent/LED setup.. and STILL turned out quite the potency. You definitely notice a difference using straight LED from seed all the way through...my sweet tooth is already showing the maturity of a veg plant at 6-7 weeks and we're only on week 5 of veg :)
@CannaScuzzyB, Hello to you fellow Sonoma farmer! You're getting me more excited! Yes, really looking forward to tasting/feeling all that this strain can be after she's cured. My first little sample taste was a quick dried bud but tried another subsequently and after only a few days in the jar the difference in taste is already like night and day - no sign of the woody notes I tasted initially, and that sweet/creamy flavour is starting to reveal itself. Tasty.
@stunflower, it's a hard thing to judge but also seems strain related, my girl looked a little pale going into flower, dropped the N when I moved to flower but still the leaves darkened up!
@MrGreenFingers, Ya, I though she seemed a little dark - I appreciate you looking in and confirming. And it's not like I've been drilling her full of nutes, but I suppose the earlier issues I had with my PH meter and faulty readings could have contributed to the imbalance. I've still got some learning to do. 🤓
Nice haul brother! Didnt realise you were just using just the very basic nutes, maybe try throwing in a PK booster next time, that could of caused some of your deficiencies?
@MrGreenFingers, Thanks buddy! Yes, I kept my nutes very basic and didn't add any kind of boosters. I'm definitely going to add something to the next run. I was also surprised to see after reading the manual for the Mars Hydro light for the first time today (read the manual??) that it mentioned having to maybe run higher calcium and magnesium than normally needed. 🤔
@Wicked_Stix, Thank you sir. It dried much quicker than I would have liked due to the low humidity around here (30-35%), but hoping for a decent cure 🤞
Ihr Mädchen sieht fantastisch aus 😀 ,
gesund, kräftig und fröhlich. Ich bin immer
wieder positiv erstaunt, was für ein enormes Wurzelwerk
mit Hydroponik geschaffen werden kann.
Beste Grüße
😀
