Another strong week. Some heavy defoliation once again to start off the diary entry. Bud development looks good, if a little slow. I think I’ll keep the nutrients where they are now, unless anyone suggests otherwise. 🌱🌱

Grow Questions

I flipped the lights to 12/12 seven days ago, 14 days in to the life of the CBD babies. Is this too soon? Yesterday I changed to 11hrs on 13hrs off, because I was expecting a lot more growth in the last seven days. Am I being too eager after not growing a Photoperiod in a while?

Yes, you are been too eager. First, don't go changing the light schedule over and over, you risk the plants going hermy. Second, the plants can flower only after reaching sexual maturity, when they grow the first preflowers (pistils or hairs), this usually takes 3 to 4 weeks, so changing to 12/12 this early will achieve nothing, except slow down the plant development since now they have less light hours every day to work with. Even more, after changing to 12/12 it usually takes a week for the stretch to really take off.

@@Athos, yeah I figured a few days to recover from the defoliation would be a good idea

@@Athos, hey friend! Do you think I could flip to flower now? Or do they need another week?

@beaudouina, hi! Unfortunately I can’t really help you. You haven’t posted a diary first of all. But I have no idea about your setup, your temperatures, substrate, pot type etc. The list goes on. It’s like asking “how long is a piece of string?’. Sorry my friend, I wish you the best!

Thanks to everyone who commented on my question regarding whether I flipped to 12/12 too soon - I did. Lights are back at 20hrs on, probably for a week or two.
