Hey brother, sorry about your loss, but your humility in this matter is what matters. You're willing and ready to try again, learn from you mistakes, refine your grow, increase your knowledge base and that's what counts. 'Failing Forward" I like to say. If you fail at something, it's ok, as long as you learn from it.
This all being said, what germ methods have you been using and are you growing from bag seed or seed bank genetics? I do the standard 12-18 hour seed soak, followed by the paper towel method in a dark cupboard with a low wattage heat mat to tap the seeds a bit quicker. All in all, from beginning of germ to sowing the seed, it takes roughly 24-36 hrs. If you're looking for more tangible reading material and you don't already have it, I suggest Greg Greene's Grow Bible, 3rd Edition, or Jorge Cervantis' grow bible editions. These texts are HUGE and can literally carry you from beginning to end of your grows. Greg's book isn't cheap ($55 CDN) but my god is it worth it. It's alllll there.
