Ok let's try this again.
I added some more fans to the side of my grow box. This will allow better cooling I put the inlet at the bottom and the exhaust by the top so hopefully the hot air around the light will get pulled out away from the plant.
I also added some clover to act as a soil cover and add some Nitrogen to the soil.
I may have gone to hard on the clover. But I knew that even if there was too much that soon I will add some more dirt and cover most of it up. Letting it either grow through or die off and add nutrients to the soil.
I gave the clovers a little haircut. Then I covered it up with some more dirt. It's already starting to poke through and come back. I just hope I was able to bury most of it.
This time I'm going to fim the top of this plant and it seems to have worked out well so far. Still waiting for a good confirmation.
With the 2nd fim attempt it isnt growing as symmetrical as I'd want but I will make due. Atleast it took this time. My first attempt at it and I'm still learning I'll get it next time.... maybe.
I started training the tops so they can stay even. The one I didnt wrap string around is the runt of the litter so to say. I'm letting her catch up to the rest before I start to train her as well.
I've also started giving nutrients. I'm just eye balling it for now and keeping an eye on the leaves for signs of nutrient abundances.
Gave her, her first pruning at the end of the first month. Not much just two leaves to get more airflow under the plant. She is branching out quite nicely so far. I'm managing to keep it level although it has taken a sideways path. It's starting to flower half way through the week so I'm going to change it to the flowering stage. She is going through her stages quite quickly. I'm trying to decide on if I want to trim some of the lower buds or not. Might just remove 2-4 just so it can concentrate its energy where its needed
FYI. the nutrient amounts are the recommended amounts... if I did my math correct. I only vaguely follow that .
The buds are forming beautifully. I just wish I had a week more of vegetation so it would've grown a little bit larger. Woke up to find a friendly visitor. It managed to escape unseen, never to be seen again. I'm thinking she didnt like the failed fimming. She hasnt grown as much as I'd like and doesnt have much bud sites. Maybe next time I'll just do some low stress training only and see how that turns out.
The plant growth has really slowed down I think the humidity and room temp arent ideal. With the cold days coming I've turned my heating on but my house has crappy insulation so its hot/cold/hot/cold... I'm going to try and figure something out to keep the temp more static.
Welp they are what they are. Small and few they may be but it was a learning experience for sure. For one, plants need more humid conditions to thrive, also that the heating in my house is quite dry. I'm still excited to see how it turns out in the end though. With such few amound of bud sights let's see how the quality is in the end.
IT SMELLS SOO GREAT!!!!👃😤😤😤
The pistils are starting to brown and the plant is begining to smell so good. It smells quite sour yet a little sweet. I might just take a bite...
I stole a leaf 😋. For a drink it was worth it just for the snap haha. And it would've tasted better if I had crushed it in the ice before, and also maybe no grenadine next time... next time. Mmmmm. I need a bigger plant with MUCH more leaves!!🌱🌱🌱
Even though she hasnt grown to be the biggest plant ever I'm happy with what I am seeing. She stinks so good and looks tasty as hell. The buds are still filling out a bit more.
On a side note I'm suprised I still haven't seen a single 4 leaf clover. I was expecting to find one eventually, but I dont know about it anymore. I may not get one.
Getting close to harvest if not this weekend than next week I'm hoping. It will not be much but they look and smell great. I can't wait to get these buds cured and tested out.
Not much to say this for this week other than the hairs are turning more orange by the day. Not much growth and the Trichomes are turning a milky white. I would post pics but my microscope camera doesn't work well anymore. I should get one by the time harvest comes around to get those great up close and personal pics.
I removed all of the clovers to get ready for harvest. I was hoping for this week but it should be next week for sure. I wish I could show you some close up microscopic photos they look so nice.
There was a short period before harvest that I wasnt sure if it was still flowering or if it has just paused. The trichomes stayed clearish and cloudy. Eventually they turned mostly red and I was so thankful to finally harvest this girl to make room for my new girls.
