These are industrial hemp/CBD seeds ordered from Blue Forest Farms in Colorado. https://blueforestfarms.com/
I ordered 5 seeds of Cherry Blossom (Had the most reviews, and were positively rated). They sent 7, so I germinated them all - assuming one or two wouldn't pop open or die during seedling stage. To my surprise, all 7 germinated, sprouted, and seem to be doing fine 2 weeks in. Two of them seem to be a couple days behind the rest, but are still progressing. Depending on how big these grow, I may end up tossing the 2 stragglers out. Maybe even another one or two. They are currently in a 32in x 32in grow tent that is 5 ft tall, so space may become an issue. I did order a 4ft x 8ft tent as well though for additional plants/grows, so I can get creative with moving things around if needed.
I have planted these in 16oz solo cups to start, and will then transfer them to 3 gallon pots when they are ready. Which I think should be soon, would like to see some roots coming out the holes at the bottom of the cups and for the leaflets to advance a little more. I will be experimenting with my pots, half will go in 3 gal "smart" pots, while the others will go in 3 gal plastic pots. Curious to see the difference, if any. Not using an nutrients at the moment, just PH'ed water around 6.5
I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, and will begin using their "trio" nutrients once I transplant them into the 3 gallon pots.
This is only my second grow ever. My first attempt was 5 years ago, and my seedlings stopped growing after the first or second week. Not sure if I had bad seeds, environment, over-watering or what. Always meant to try again but life got busy at that point. So here we go again, round 2! I will also be creating a second grow journal for some seeds I'm germinating right now. They are actually the same seeds that died on my 5 years ago. Apparently I properly stored them, because after a day or two, 6 of 8 have germinated so far. They are Nirvana Autoflowers. Let's see if they can make it past the first week or two this time!
Will be updating both grow journals throughout. I'd love some tips, feedback, questions, comments, etc.
