Time for a new photoperiodic run! I've selected Meringue from DutchPassion. Two seeds were soaked in water then moved into 0.5L AirPots. I may proceed to seedling selection (keep the strongest) or keep both of them, depending on how they evolve. The tricky thing is that they begin their life in a bad environment: my tent is still hosting autoflowers so the relative humidity is not high, plus I have some night temp issues that I'm fighting with. Let's see if they manage to grow within those conditions. Thanks for stopping-by!

I proceeded to seedling selection by the end of week 2. I kept the strongest/fastest seedling and did a transplantation into RQS 11L/3gal fabric pot, they feel awesome. Since I'm running out of liquid fertilizers, I've decided it was a good time to give BioTabs a try, and maybe go through a nice-and-easy run. Preparing the soil with BioTabs is a little bit of work, but this should saves me hours of work later, so I guess it worth it. The soil is made of 50% cocomix and 50% lightmix, both from BioBizz. --- NUTRIENTS - BioTabs - pH 6.4 & EC 0.65 BOARDS INTENSITY - 100% (~106W per board, ~320W in total) TEMPERATURES - Min 15.1°C - Avg 23.6°C - Max 27.4°C HUMIDITY - Min 42.7% - Avg 57.3% - Max 68.6%

She looks happy in her new fabric pot, I proceeded to the 1st topping surgery on day 21. Mainlining incoming! She was topped for the 2nd time and received a canopy ring. She seems not so happy in her new container and the BioTabs mix, tips are yellowing, but I'm confident she will overcome this issue within a few days. I'm slowly building the manifold but she's not 100% symmetrical so I will probably wait for a few more nodes before the 3rd topping, 8 nodes incoming! 😎

Breeder description was correct, that one is not for novice growers, she's growing straight to the light and doesn't like to be bent. That being said, with patience and delicacy I've managed to slowly build the manifold. Now the 4 main stems need to expand a little bit before I can top these once again. Thanks for stopping-by!

Not much to say, still working on the mainlining and trying to enlarge the canopy. I'm wondering if I should push to 8 main colas or keep the 4 existing colas and give them plenty of space/heights. Let's see how this goes, thanks for stopping-by!

Working on the mainlining, she will soon receive a canopy ring. You can see a picture of a chili-pepper growing alongside the babies, I do believe energy is precious, each and every empty space in a growroom is a loss of energy/power/potential. So I always try to add some plants when I have free space, and it usually leads to great results with the vegetables!

Something is wrong within the soil... I suspect Biotabs to generate salts buildup in the bottom of the fabric pot. I'm new to fabric pot, more used to AirPots, and I completely forgot to add a layer of clay balls (or rocks) in the bottom of the pot. This theory could be right or wrong, I need to react quickly. So I gave her some good flush using CleanFruits from GreenBuzzLiquids, and I plan to use GBL products range for the end of this run. Not really happy with BioTabs, and I rather like to control everything anyway. Feel free to share your thoughts! 👊

Things are much better now. I was able to get rid of BioTabs residues and flush the soil, plus I've added a layer of clay balls in the bottom of the pot. That Meringue is now enjoying GreenBuzzLiquids fertilizers and she seems to appreciate those. I probably won't be growing with BioTabs again, except for outdoors constraints. I'm still working on shaping the mainlining, and I use a small plate to do so. Am I the only one doing this? I've had great success previously doing this, and it seems to be the only technique that really works with that Meringue, she doesn't like being bent. Tell me what you think of this method in the comments! 👊

She's recovering from the disorder caused by BioTabs, and is getting healthier everyday thanks to GreenBuzzLiquids. Since she's now doing fine and considering her size, this will probably be the last week of vegetative stage! Flipping into 12/12 in a few days. Considering her genetic traits I bet she will stretch a lot but I'll try to control heights as much as I can. Stay tuned! 😎

Time to bloom that baby! Light schedule was switched to 12/12 and she's already showing her pistils after a few days. That's what I like with long vegged plants: they always jump into flowering mode like if they were waiting for this their whole life! Thanks for stopping-by 👋

Preflowers are everywhere, slowly expanding pistils and fattening up. I had to defoliate a bit to increase light penetration on the lowest colas. She's a monster 😎

Well, she's already covered with trichomes after 3 weeks into the flowering stage, I have great hopes for this strain! Stretch was hard to control and the space between the nodes is pretty big, but I was aware of this genetic trait and have done anything I could to control this (cold mornings, strings bending the main stems, short lamp-to-plant distance..). Anyway I'm confident she will give great buds!

She's gorgeous! Dark foliage, white rounded buds covered with resin, I'm in love with that plant! So far she's on time, and should be ready after 8 weeks of blooming. I'm defoliating a few leaves every week to improve light penetration on the lowest colas. Thanks for stopping-by! 😎

It's the final countdoooown 🎸 She's a real beauty, her dark foliage makes the sticky buds even more shining, a connoisseur's delight for sure! Most of the trichomes are turning milky, so I gave her a last meal and will slowly start to flush her on a 10-12 days basis.

Flush week! Actually she was flushed for 12 days, I want the best from that strain, so I'd like to avoid any nutrients left in my buds. She's a real beauty, showing her various colors upon her foliage and her buds. Trichomes are now exactly as I wanted them to be, so I'm going to harvest that lady now 😎

Some of the best flowers I've been growing so far. Meringue produces massive dense flowers full of resin, with a complex terpenes profile, made of tropical fruit and mostly sugar, sugar, and sugar again. Not a diabetic strain for sure 😂 The effects are really good as well: it starts with a smooth relaxing feeling, then it turns into a creative boost, making you proactive on various activities such as making music, crafting some DIY stuff, or just chill out with good friends! She hasn't been the easiest plant to work on, very atypical growth. She literally grew like a clone, asymmetric nodes almost from the start, so I was not able to mainline her as much as the other strains in the tent. Her fan leaves have crazy elongated stems, creating massive areas of shadow under the canopy, defoliation was mandatory to get the most of the bottom buds. In the end, all these efforts worth it, I was gifted with 128 grams of pure candies, and I also was able to make some fire Ice'o'lator with the leaves from the trim. If you're ready for an atypical plant that will reward you with sugary buds (in all ways), go ahead, Meringue might become your new favorite strain!
