I would. Start removing a few really big leaves. Go slow. Once you are comfortable, remove a bit more. You are looking to open up the foliage a bit and allow new, more complex growth to dominate. Then you can do a fee big defoliations if you think it is working. There is a lit if discussion on the right times and how much. I don’t know. My last grow really responded well to this approach.

Looks like they are bouncing back nicely. Good immediate return growth. This is a critical turning point though. Let’s see if they manage to switch to flowering now. This was a risky time to go extreme, because it is just when the plant is about to switch. Too early to say until that happens. They all switch then it will be worth the experience. Although next time I would still do less, more often. With autos I think you are really trying not to stress them, because it is like a sprint, not a marathon. There isn’t time to recover from small mistakes. Fingers crossed still for you.

You can buy ladybugs if its a massive problem and yellow sticky pads (flytrap). And keep the soil dryer than normal to help kill the eggs. But the ladybirds will eat those fuckers!

yeah but only the biological one works. First thing is thinking holistically about gnats, you want to catch their eggs in the soil, just let it dry out completely, the dry breaks the eggs down : no eggs, no gnats. next thing is the larvae and the adults, try bacillus thuringiensis or bt israelis , these are nematodes that will kill these off by paraciting their brain ... plus they protect against mold for even after the chop. Hope this helps growmie ! 🚀

@Lucidite, okay , I saw you removed your fan leaves on your last grow , do you recommend I start? If so when , I have some yellow leaves also ( should they be first to go ) I’m no expert on indoor grows but I’ve taken a keen interest to this

@Mackinnon, I’m not an expert, having only done it on 4 plants so far. But they didn’t spread wide. They just got multiple calyxs’ instead of just one main one. Def tidier. But like I said, I would be tempted to do minor training to control space, not to break apical dominance of the main stem.

@Lucidite, Thanx , only trouble is the space for lst , it’s 3X4 right so I’m scared of them climbing out instead of up

That is a big big defoliation. Be careful. It is a balance. You should let them recover and bush out again before doing more. You don’t want to over stress them. Good luck!

@Lucidite, I Went a lil too extreme , it may bite me in the ass, or it may work out perfect . Well find out !!! I don’t plan on doing any /much more unless they block the bud sites during flower I might just use the tuck method
