10/25 Started germinating a Blackberry Autoflower seed from Fast Buds in a jiffy pellet. Growing for the solo Cup Autoflower Challenge on Instagram. Should be fun!
10/30 Sprouted. Moved the peat pellet into a 16 oz cup filled with Fox Farms Ocean Forest and watered. Putting it in the tent with my plants that are the flowering stage so I am using HPS instead of MH for veg.
10/31 put plastic dome over seedling.
,11/4 Going good.
11/15 Day 17 from sprout. Tipped the cup off of my counter and it landed hard. I guess this will count as HST.
11/17 Looking better. Has a break just above the third node. Top looks like it's starting to flower. Almost.
11/19 Flowering for sure.
11/21 Think I overwatered her yesterday. She's looking droopy. Don't know how she's gonna turn out.
11/27 The break has somewhat healed. Been watering as needed. She's showing some crazy colors and I'm not sure if that's because that part is dead/dying or just the strain. She's an ugly girl but I'm giving her lots of love.
Not a whole lot happened this week. I water her when she needs it and have trimmed her up a bit. Her break has healed but it stunted her pretty bad. She's tiny.
Still watering when she needs it and trimming when needed. She's getting frosty but her buds are so tiny. Really curious how she's gonna turn out and how much she yields. Her purple coloring is beautiful!
This little lady has been so easy to care for and has been an absolute pleasure to have in my garden. I only top dressed with Geoflora bloom and I water her every other day until runoff. Her trichromes are saying she's ready so will harvest soon.
I can smoke this stuff all day. It's beautiful and tastes/smells like sweet berries. Definitely more of a body high tho. She was easier to grow than I had anticipated. I only fed her once and other than that, it was just water every other day.
She was super easy to grow. She fell off my counter top early on and was nearly decapitated. This stunted her. I watered her every other day and top dressed with a bit of Geoflora Bloom once at the beginning of flower. I kept her leaves trimmed up as well. Had zero issues nor deficiencies with this girl.
Looks like a nice strain. Pretty. Good luck with the humidity. I see you have the clear cover. Make sure there are still a few holes in it to let the plant breath still. Foliar spraying?
@ConradThePeaceful, TBH neither do I! Trying to see from my decisions and others. But I have been gardening a lot longer than ‘growing’. All plants need air. A sealed environment that stops the air exchange is bad for any plant that has germinated. You might get away with it, but you aren’t really keeping in humidity. As for foliar spraying, it can be very helpful. You can get water in while the seedling is lacking roots. You can foliar feed as well but need to be careful. If the humidity is high you can leave it. The seedlings are already drinking. We can discuss whether we notice a difference but the scientific understanding is undisputed.
@Lucidite, I don't have any holes in it. I will make some immediately. Was taking advice from growers on IG that said I didn't need holes. So much conflicting info out there! Same with foliar feeding. I've seen it recommended and others say it's a waste. I don't know what to believe. Haha. Just ordered me another setup so I can have two running at once. So excited!
