Easy to grow outdoors with great disease tolerance. Excellent yield and a great smoke. Feels indica dominant, but with a great sativa head high as well. Great combo! Thanks for creating this, Dutch Passion!

This grow was fun and rewarding. Right from the start, these girls showed their great genetics by sprouting faster than anything I've ever seen. They were extremely eager! For the first time, I tried mainlining as well as cloning. It was great to only need to use 2 seeds and get 3 great plants of equal yield. #1 and her clone (#3) ended up being slightly more wispy, yet #2 was a much denser bud. I never had a single sign of powdery mildew, and believe me, these plants went through extreme rain, extreme heat and everything inbetween, as well as insanely high humidity levels. I maybe lost 2% of my yield to bud rot - which is very acceptable. I had to harvest slightly earlier than I thought to prevent further bud rot, but I'm more of a sativa, cerebral head high lover (with a good whack of body buzz too), so I didn't want loads of amber trichomes - so these turned out perfect for me. My thoughts on mainlining: Does it increase yield? Considering that #1 and #3 (it's clone which had no training) yielded the same amount of bud, I'd say no. In fact, if you consider the veg time you lose when mainlining, after all that topping and sidenode snipping, defoliation etc - I believe a regularly grown plant would have yielded much, much more. But - do I think it's worth doing? Absolutely. Reason being, you get a lower sitting plant with less larfy buds. There's more airflow so there's less chance of mildew and rot and you also get a 360 degree view of your plant. I could inspect the buds closely and easily and picked up on issues much better than if the plant was a towering monster that I couldn't reach the top of it to inspect. I feel like the quality of the bud is more consistent doing it this way. The strain is notably thirsty, #1 seemed to just not get enough nutes from my medium and feeds and started yellowing the fan leaves early on. The other 2 never seemed to have that problem though. 70L of medium may have been too little as well, so I may need to consider bigger grow bags for next season, like 100L +. The early yellowing could have also been a sign of her being root bound. I would imagine the indoor guys and girls could push more trichome development from this bud and get even more gooey menaces out of theirs, but for outdoor growers in challenging climates, this is a fantastic choice! I'm super happy with how these turned out. As the world goes crazy stockpiling hand sanitizer and toilet paper, I've been able to stock up on an awesome smoke :) I highly recommend this to all indoor and outdoor growers. There is an auto version of this as well which I'm sure is great as well. Thank you to Dutch Passion, for creating this marvel and to the Grow Diary community for following along - and all the words of encouragement. Cheers, fellow growers - and be safe out there.

Grow Questions

#1 Has started yellowing much sooner than expected. With 4 weeks to go, I'm not sure how much of a problem that is - what happens if I can't fix that? The other 2 are not affected and have same soil, sun and nutrient schedules. Bud production is going strong. Any remedy ideas?

Hey friend, Your outdoor is looking great...but definitely unusual the 1 yellowing plant. I had 2 possible ideas, first maybe that one plant is more hungry than the others and needs higher feedings. Or hows the ph? I know that can cause a variety of yellow leaves but i would expect the others to have it. The any colony however i do think should be fixed because they can go in and disturb the root system, i would use diamataceous earth since it will kill the bugs and also provide silica which is great for plants and helps in a large variety of ways. Happy flowering

@Bashgrowsitall1989, thanks hey! If Auto Glueberry OG is anything like it's photoperiod sister, you're in for a great grow. My only complaint is with nature and that they got pollinated, but other than that, very good resistance to the elements. All the best with yours!

I'd be interested to see the clone grown out naturally! Check out my diary on this beautiful strain...nothing natural, lol. Good luck grower! โœŒ๏ธ โ„๏ธ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”›๐Ÿ”ฅ.

Amazing pics and plants...must have been so satisfying finishing this grow. Now the hardest part of any grow waiting for your bud to cure.
Epokwan
Epokwancommented5 years ago
@Lovemabud, thanks hey! Yes, it's been a long grind with lots of challenges, but resilient strains like this make it all a bit easier. Waiting for them to cure is certainly going to be painful :(

@Experimentgreen, thanks so much! First time trying this - was hoping to get another week or so of veg in before they pre-flowered, but they seem to be working out okay even though they started earlier!

U must be in the same part of the world as I am, as the weather has been the same with my grow. Yesterday large hail was forecast and I was shitting myself as i was at work. Didn't come thank god and the plant was safe. Good luck with the grow

@Epokwan, Well at least the same half of the world. I'm in OZ on the south coast...so similar weather at the moment I'd say. Freaking hot, humid and wet

The best outdoor grow ive ever seen. U must be living in a very dry area no mold and perfect frost I love this strain i grow it indoors
Epokwan
Epokwancommented3 years ago
@Lazuli, hey thanks for stopping by! I live in South Africa, it's actually incredibly humid here in summer but thankfully this strain has great mold resistance and finished relatively fast! I normally battle with PM and bud rot but I'll be growing this again soon because of it's great genetics. Highly recommend it for outdoors.

Great looking harvest! Nice job on the mainlining, the canopy does look easier to work with when opened up. Going to enjoy that! ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Epokwan
Epokwancommented4 years ago
@Eagers, hey thanks! It was my first time trying this and it absolutely helps with inspecting the plant each day, it also gives a harvest of consistent tight buds with little to no larf. I don't think it yields more necessarily, but it yields better! Been a lovely smoke so far, Dutch Passion rocks :)

Hey guys. I'm out of grow questions, but in case anyone sees this, what's the latest a flowering plant can get pollinated? Are you ever in the "safe zone" after a certain amount of time?
