Start of Week 7! Day 44 - 12/12
Big difference in the two Cali Snow plants!
The centre "Plant 1" is well along in the flowering process with obvious bud sites forming along the small amount of LST I've been able to get going. Got a bit more stretch out of it but it looks like she's settling down but the sativa flowering of this strain is noticeably behind the indica LSD-25 planted same day in my other diary.
The other girl "Plant 2" that is far left and was cooked under the dome early in the grow seems to still be in a pre-flower phase and I'm actually getting a lot of decent stretch/growth in the secondary sites. I'll keep an eye on it for the next week to see if I have to set it off myself with a 12/12 cycle but there are a few pistils here and there. Hopefully it's just a little set back in its timing because it's going to turn out to be the biggest of all 3 plants I have going now. Will have the best veg base for flowering for sure.
Hopefully I won't have to set it to 12/12 and rob the other two plants I have further along in flower of a few hours of light a day.
Gave another feed with upped nutes but still playing it on the low side. Going up a little each feeding and no signs of burn on any of the girls yet. Making sure I'm chasing feeds with plain water and spraying the top layer with plain water here and there to keep any build up at bay; Since the girls aren't big enough for full pot runoff feeds due to small size.
Day 48 - 12/16
You can see how different the timing on the two Cali Snow are. I'm loving the extra time with Plant 2 to set up bigger secondary branches and the pistils still seem to be SLOWLY forming near the top and mature sites. In an attempt to avoid switching her to 12/12 to fully trigger the flower, I've let the temperature drop down a bit to the high teens with the light on by lettering in the winter air and keeping the tent open with lights on. Hopefully the lower temp here and there over the next couple days will get it moving.
Plant 1 is well along in it's flower. The bud sites are well defined and the stretch seems to be wrapping up bringing it in just a bit bigger than my small LSD-25 in my other diary going right now. Pulled it out and reset some new LST on the plant with a less drastic lean. Clipped a few fan leaves and 3 fingers from the two Cali's, anything blocking light or bunching up too much but tried to leave as much as possible for energy production.
The classic Cali Snow smell I was warned about is starting to come in. Even P2 with little to no flowers is throwing off a nice scent. Still tent contained without exhaust for now so no worries on that front.
Day 50 - 12/18
Gave them their biggest feeding today in both nutes and volume. Both split a mix of 1ml each PH Perfect MGB with 1tsp Molasses in a gallon of water with a half gallon plain water chase. First time the plants have been big/thirsty enough for a run-off feeding. Will spray top layer in a day to clean top layer of any residue then top with D-Earth sprinkle to let sit until next feed.
These girls have gone from identical to fraternal twins. P2 on the left is looking more like the plant I wanted in terms of size and spread. The set back in flowering time has really allowed me to train it up and get lower branches up to a pseudo-canopy. It looks like it's FINALLY about to make the final switch as the still bright pre-flower tops are starting to shoot more pistils and new leaf growth has that telltale upward point as the spread comes to an end.
P1 is full flower swing is chugging along nicely as I opened her up main stem up with some selective defoliation and the thin sativa bud structure is slowly but surely coming in. As a new grower, seeing the fatten/faster Indica flower of my LSD-25 right next to the Sativa on the same schedule is a great observational experience. π½
The smell of the two Cali Snows are finally starting to ripen up. Only chance at smelling my LSD-25 right beside them is to get REAL close.
Thanks for stopping in, throw down a like so I can return the favour, will update through the week! π

Week 4 Seedling is wilting/curling! (See Pics) Hard and dark cripsy edges on all growth. I dropped two fan leaves incase it was mold. Looks a tiny bit better the next day after taking off the humidity dome that was on for about 24 hours before noticing the curl.
@GlazedGrow I think you nearly cooked them under the humidity dome as they can attain much higher temps inside than you may think.
To get the best out of those domes you need to mist reguarly and have some type of venting at the top.
As for the plant it should recover with time however because its very stressed I wouldn't feed the nutrients but instead giver her a light feed of a seaweed/kelp
solution this will help in stress recovery . Good luck
Thanks for the love buddy βοΈπ½π― your flowers look amazing too I been thinking about going into autos and seeing how far you can get them in growth etc so next venture will be autos after Iβve done the ffts
@STAYINGONMYMAINCBATORUNTWO,
You too! Love checking through your diaries, have a few more autos to go through before I get back to some Spliff Seeds photoπ
it's very interesting to watch your diary. I wish you a huge harvest of buds.
What do you prefer to use a Bong or a joint. 4-20 Bro.
subscribed and watching your grow.π
Looking cool bro I used to use advanced nutrients myself. Can I ask a question I mean no offence. Why are you not using advance nutrients bud candy and big bud. They would help with bigger yields .
@RastaMouse,
exactly! The 3-in-1 kit was just a "first cheap nutes" I was forced to buy quickly during my first grow last year since I was unaware of how much you had to feed ProMixHP. Didn't realize it was soilless peat-based etc. so I found a good deal combo kit that would arrive next day since the lack of nutes was having an affect on the growth. Like I said definitely getting the job done to a degree but I can't wait until I can start experimenting with more!
Best of luck with your grows too, duderπ
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, I feel ya bro I started on advanced nutrients then tried canna now I settled on shogun for exactly that reason had great results from all 3 but shogun is way cheaper. Happy growing brother ππ»π
@RastaMouse,
unfortunately no grow budget right now so have to stick with what I got, have always had my eye on more @AdvancedNutrients like Bud Candy and Big Bud etc. but it will have to wait for the sponsorship I guess π
@HazeyBobby, thanks! Wish I could have followed through but trying to keep a better head space to make it happen with my next one.
Have some of their new Original Sour Diesel in paper towel right now!
Hello GlazedGrow =) I am curious about your lighting setup. I just upgraded to a set of better leds with a veg/bloom switch. Sold as '1000w' but I've heard only uses about 130w, it will do for now.
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, I am happy to be back and my interest in LEDs has piqued. Atm leds are becoming cheaper than ever with more advanced technologies than ever. Very interesting stuff no doubt =) tc and I look forward to following your grow and perhaps helping you along and vice versa.
@Omahoney_Canna_Thusiast,
I have 2 cheaper lights: a "900w" LED that uses 110w and a 45w full spec panel. The 900 is just a low end brand on Amazon like... PHLIZON or something? And the 45w was a no-name overseas order too.
My 900 also has Veg/Bloom switches but it essentially just turns off half the red or blue lights? Which means it's only 450w when I have 1 on, right? I don't even know.
My basic understanding and ability to explain it is that LED watt ratings are "equivalents" to conventional lights that have a lower working wattage. (Making them more affordable on power consumption vs. Grow potential and why they're way cooler temperature wise)
Again, my basic understanding, but your 1000w LED is a lower working wattage and are suppose to mimick the output of say a 1000 HPS bulb by placing many small low watt lights together instead of one large 1000w bulb. (You'll have 100x10W diodes on a board that "equal" a 1000 watt bulb in theory)
All that said, I'm sure the specs on our lights are no where near true. Plus it only cost $160 cdn in a package deal π§
I'd love to explore and experiment with different types but just not in the cards now so LED is my best option for my grow space at this point π
@MrRaid,
I'm excited to give it a try!
P1's mature buds have that bitter skunky sativa smell but P2's developing buds are so Lemony it could write Series of Unfortunate Events novels.
One stayed super stunted and flowered after 3 weeks and one delayed flower by like... 3 weeks and grew to a solid 20 inches (sitting at 16 or so after LST)
Both started SAME DAY and one is 3x the size and about a month behind in flower but not complaining as the yields from the total grow definitely benefit and I can get 2 more seeds going while I finish the last plant.
I got 3 of these going right now and the size is impressive Iβm looking for to the harvest as always lol ! But Iβm glad it was nice smoke for you! Mine are quite a bit bigger and they are at day 31 today!! Iβm hoping for nice tasty smoke!! π₯π₯π₯π¨π―π Good luck on your future grows
