The grow, my first, was pretty easy. No pest or disease issues and they finished in right around 70 days. High is definitely Indica. Not couch lock, but don't have anything too important to do 🀣🀣. I wish I could try this one again. I can do better πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ.

My only issue is the Grow Big is a bit too much for the autos, when using Micro and Kanga. Everything else was good. I thought the soluble bloom enhancers we're good.
Classic. Needed for every garden.
The buds were frosty. So I'll keep it in rotation.

Should I try and help them out by removing the shell, or just let them chillax and enjoy the humidity and light?

Hello Do not touch the hull! Let nature do very light watering and cover your plant with a cup for three or four days that will make it a small greenhouse To keep it with a humidity of 70 to 80% May the strength be with you πŸ’ͺ

This is my first grow. How do things look at day 5? This is the fifth day from germed seeds placed in the soil. I think things look ok, but I have nothing to base that on. Nothing but pH water at 5.8-6.0. ladies are right around 2" tall.

@Phishman84 They look great and are reaching for the light so may be a good time to lower it slightly Not so much that it can heat up the grow space and stress the plant but enough so that the plant doesnt grow too leggy in an attempt to get more light.

I've noticed some pistils starting to turn on the upper bud sites, see the last photo above. My question is, is this ok only 2 weeks in to flower, or have I burnt the pistils with feeding, or lights? It's my first grow, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks!!

Hey brother this could be perfectly normal my last run of autos had hairs turning amber pretty early on it was just a characteristic of the strain I was growing .. yes the lights being to close can and will cause that darkening . They honestly look very good man and for your first grow very nice should be some good buds I live that cheese flavour as well ..

Excellent first grow and diary!πŸ‘ˆπŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ‘‹ I'm starting some of these in late March myself. so it was nice to see what to expect. About the vertical growth...growing autos is a little different than what you'd expect. With photos, the pre-flower stretch can take weeks, whereas with autos it might just be a week, or even just a couple of days, so it's critical to push them hard in week 3 and 4 and do nothing that would retard their growth. Pretty much leave them alone until you start seeing little cotton tops, then you can safely resume a little LST without stunting their upward growth. Also...edit your diary to include the words "- First Grow"...then enter your diary in the Newbie of the Month contest..you've definitely got a shot at winning!

@Silverback_Guerilla,Thanks so much for the kind words. I had a lot of fun with this and learned a great deal.... mostly from mistakes 🀣🀣. The smoke has been great and only gotten better after almost a month in the jarsπŸ™ŒπŸΌ Can't wait to get the next run moving along!

Depending upon you’re specific wattage you can get most fluorescents 8-12”

@DukeKaboom, sounds like you’re on the right track! Will be following πŸ‘
DukeKaboom
DukeKaboom
@GrandDizzleD, That's actual power draw, with the small LED boosters for the red spectrum. They say they're 400w a piece, 205w actual draw. Lights are now up at full power
GrandDizzleD
GrandDizzleD
@DukeKaboom, is that actual power draw? If so you can get that light much closer, 12” I’d expect. However a lot of LED manufacturers (not all, but some) falsely advertise they’re product, actual wattage draw is the key. All the spectrum in the world is nice, but without wattage you’re plant will grow slowly, and likely have issues. I have x4 LED fixtures that are advertised as 600w but each only draws 132w. Let’s just say I’ve left the LED game bc a 600w HID produces more intensity, which is key for growing marijuana. However you’re babies are looking great, and I think the cobs you’re using are working. Just plan to ease closer as you’re plants crave more photons :-) happy growing kind dude!

I'll probably take @Grey_Wolf advice and start lowering the lights an inch at a time over the next few days, in conjunction with removing the plastic domes. Once I get the lights down to around 30" and as long as I don't see any heat stress, I'll turn the LED boosters on the lights on and bring the wattage up to the full 400 watts.

Did you start with a pre mix soil? What did you use?
GrandDizzleD
GrandDizzleD
@DukeKaboom, sounds like a pretty good combination. My weakest link is my seedling stage right now. Using FFOF as well. Appreciate you’re response m8!
DukeKaboom
DukeKaboom
@GrandDizzleD, it's a mix of about 2/3 FFOF and a little extra Perlite, and another 1/3 ish of some Coco. I have heard FF can be a little much for little seedlings, so I calmed it down a bit with the Coco and added some Perlite for good measure. It drains pretty well and still maintains a little moisture in the Coco. It's been good so far and allows me to supplement with a few nutes to get her accustomed early to feedings. I'll tell you how I like it when they finish 🀣🀣

@johnnyblatez, I'm happy overall. Lady #1 has developed a pretty nasty pH lockout, so she's developed a Calcium deficiency. I've tried to correct it with a good flush, we'll see if she can't put on some weight over these last few weeks.

I've got a little leaf curl, you can see it in the new growth, photo of Day 8 plant #2. Is this just a mutation, or is this something I need to work on, ex. Over watering, deficiency??? Thanks!!
