Several issues have been corrected in the last 48 hours. Also, a new LST technique I’m trying.
First, am PHing everything. The RO water that I use is 7 or above. Not ideal and has caused some nutrient lockout.
Second, lowered the light Much closer. At 100% power, my light is best for veg at 24” and for flower at 18”. The light was at around 36” or more from the canopy.
Third, I put a weakass fan drawing air down a 2 1/2“ pipe from the top of the grow closet to about 6-8” above the floor. Meant to recycle some of the warm air.
Have seen instant results. It is actually easier keeping the environment consistent. My overnight temp is now 20-22C and daytime is 27-25C. Only a 5 degree difference.
Have started making tea from Gaia fertilizer, seaweed extract, Epsom salts and Molasses. PH 6.2-6.8. Feeding every second watering.

Plants got a strong tea as well as a final leaf strip and tie down to spread the canopy. Flipping today. 12/12. Drying the medium more. Day and night temps will go down by 5°F to 70°F at night/75°F during the day.
Well, after 6 weeks of veg and 1 week of flower, things are looking great!
Gave them an extra boost of both bloom and veg to get them into stretch and bloom formation. Next feeding will concentrate more on bloom.
Lowered temperatures by 5 degrees all round. It's now 25°-27°C throughout the day and down to 23° at night. Hoping to lower the temperature to 18° during the last week to bring any colours out.
Heavy defoliation the day before the photos were taken. Will leave alone now to stack and mature for a month. Feed regularly.
*(If anyone has seen the little blue heater that I use in the room in one of the photos or videos, I noticed a tiny LED on the side. Since it was daylight when I tested the heater and it's so small, hadn't noticed that it turns on when the heater is activated. It is red and I think that it's intermittent off/on/off during flowering was having an effect on the plants on the right side where the light is. Put duct tape over the light and hopefully, that's that, although if the element inside glows red and lights up the room, I may have to deal with it).
4 weeks in and all is looking stellar! The stacking on the BHB is stunning, while the Cheese is producing some respectable clusters and the OJ is defining up top and needs a bit of a clean underneath. All the others are producing from top to bottom so as long as light penetration is adequate, I'll let them go. BHB#1 has a most interesting aroma and I'm impatient to see her develop!

Blueberry Headband as well as the OJ have been looking a little peaked the last two weeks. Red hairs appearing. Growth slowing. Even starting to affect the Cheese. Raised the light from 12” to 24 and turned it down a bit. Also, pulled the plants out and leached them. Been a while and it is needed, I think. Should see an explosion of good growth 2-4 days from now. Flushing always creates a flurry of good stuff!

Blueberry Headband OJ Cheese Update Dec 29 Day 50 Flower
Have noticed an immediate response from the plants after the leaching and light raising. 24” seems to be the magic number. Work up from 30-40% strength at seedling and gradually move up to 75% at the end of veg. By the third to last week of flowering should be at 100%.
Have fed the Girls nutes Weds. Cheese got no N as it’s supposedly within three weeks of harvest. Next week will leach heavily and feed only water. The rest of the Girls got the full treatment. NPK and CalMag. This is three days after leaching. Tried leaving the exit fan on so the humidity wouldn’t climb too high during the evening. Turned the heater off as well so it wouldn’t be running constantly as the air was being sucked out anyway. The temp reached 59°F. A tad too cold. The next evening, even though the RH was still high, I left the fan off. Thought the heater was re-plugged in but no. Temp only went down as far as 62°F. Still too low but better.
The third night everything was plugged in normally and 65° was the nighttime low. Acceptable. Going to keep the nighttime temp there for the remainder of the grow. Colors should appear.
Blueberry Headband is doing well. #1 is sprouting new calyxes from the ground up and the flowers are turning a dark purple. It seems way ahead of #2 which seems to be behind them all. New calyx growth there as well but the buds are much smaller with virtually no red hairs while #1 looks like it’s almost ready to harvest if you were judging by the hairs. The aroma is intoxicating!
The Orange Juice is leaping ahead! Looks like it’s getting ready to harvest as well but there has been an explosion of new calyxes and swelling hasn’t started on any of the babes yet. The Cheese may be starting.
So, about three weeks for Cheese and 5 weeks for the rest.
By my guesstimation, these should’ve been vegged for another two weeks at least. That would be eight weeks!
Big learning curve this week as I metered my well water which I’ve been relying on more and more as bottled is expensive. Neither I nor my dog drink it. TDS is over 700 PPM. Almost double the safe consumption level of 400 PPM.
Have leached the plants once more extensively using RO water with a final .5Gal of PHed water with SuperThrive.

Was a easy grow with large frosty nuggets. Skunky aroma. Gave me the best volume of my plants and the density is terrific. Get a burnt orange in the smoke. Starts out bright but this really whacks my in the head! I start to nod! 😋
This was the easiest to grow. Shook off light stress and hard water to produce more yield than any of the others. Will be growing again. Dense, golf ball size nuggets.
Fairly easy to grow. I LSTed her too early trying to catch up to the others since she was planted late. Large colas with hardly any trim. No larf! All good size buds. The aroma was funky till the very end. Now it;s been in jar almost a week and it is marvellous. The bud structure was not dense but she produced very well compared to the others.

I've never gone wrong with HSO. This is no different. Beautiful purple flowers. Very dense! The first early pheno (55 days) was the densest bud I've ever grown. The frostiest, as well! Pheno #2 was nowhere near as dense, frosty or early. Came in on time. Not much crystal but more weight on the plant. Same amazing aroma of Gramma's Perfume candies, wine gums and licorice all sorts! The smoke is blueberry and pine with Eucalyptus. I'll be doing a second round of this... perhaps even a third! May need more seeds. Want to explore phenos!

Our Blueberry Headband hitting week 5 of the vegative stage and showing some nice vigour 🤗
We like what we see so far 😏, please keep the updates coming 👍
With love from Humboldt County ✌️
Kind regards

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Last season your Amherst Sour Diesel was outstanding! Great yield! Potent! Most important, it's flavor and aroma made it a connoisseur strain for me. 4 months in jar and it's just astounding! All my friends want to buy it because it's better than anything that's available in the local dispensaries. I'll PM you some photos...
I like your top to bottom air exchange system well thought out. Although in flowering you’ll want those lower temps for denser buds. Definitely helps to air out your pots... 👍
@GreenHouseLab, Because I implemented such strict environmental controls I have indeed lowered the temps to 75-80 during the day and 70 at night but will dip into 65 or so the final week to bring out colours. 😎
@@motaman311, Thanks. There have been issues and this harvest will not be a record breaker by any means. Thinking one BHB is a totally FU. Full of red hairs and seems to have swollen way ahead of the rest. The rest are doing OK. We'll see. Getting impatient to do DWC.
@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, it is getting ready to explode! All these beautiful little 'pearls' of calyxes ready to let loose! Plus, the aroma! My Gawd, the aroma! Like nothing I've ever grown before! So looking forward to ripening! Can I keep my little grubby hands of it till then? We'll see.
The stretch phase is over now it's time for our Blueberry Headband to show the world what she can do 🤗
So far we love what we see 💚
Kind regards ✌️

@@motaman311, Not as Cheesey as one would hope but that could be the pheno. I really like the strain and the aroma. It is definitely Cheese. It was my freebie seed. I would grow it again. The UK Cheese maybe more what you're after, not that I have had any experience with it but the Europeans really like this strain.
