Day 0 - Started germinating one seed on 31 Oct and the taproot just started poking out today, 2 November. So decided I would get her started in a rapid rooter and once she has her first set of leaves, I’ll start the count.
Day .25 - She’s not quite out of the rapid rooter yet but she’s getting close. Looks like I’ll start day 1 either tomorrow or the next day, whenever I see her first set of true leaves.
Day .75 - She’s out and opened up now. The hull was stuck on her so sprayed her with a bit of water and let her sit for a bit and the hull fell right off. Tomorrow will most likely start day 1 and I’ll place her into her 3 gallon pot. I premoistened the soil 2 days so it should be ready tomorrow for her.
Day 1 - Today is officially day 1 for my count and her root was about 2” out the bottom of the rapid rooter so went ahead and placed her in her final 3 gallon pot. I’ll keep a glass over her for awhile to make sure she’s got a higher humidity than what’s running in the tent right now.
Day 2 - So far so good, though her first set of leaves do look a bit odd and not sure what to think about it. I’m sure it’s something she’ll grow out of so I’ll just keep an eye on her for now.
Day 3 - She’s looking a little better today and gonna hold off on spraying her with any water for a bit, just gonna keep the glass slightly damn and over top for humidity for now.
Day 4 - Not much to report other than the slight yellowing but I’m thinking it’s due to pre soaking the soil and was still just too damp before I put her in so hoping as it dries out she gets better.
Day 5 - She’s looking a lot better today but still a bit pale. Checked the soil and she’s pretty dry so gave her a little bit of water and just did a circle around her about 2-3” from her base.
Day 6 - Almost the end of week 1 and she’s looking pretty good right now. She’s got some yellowing from a bit overwatering early but she’s recovered well.
Day 7 - End of week 1 and it looks like she’s coming along nicely. Just trying to keep the watering to a minimum to avoid any overwatering while she’s small.
Day 8 - Starting week 2 and she’s a little on the lighter shade of green so working on getting the humidity up a bit for her and went and out a glass back over her to try and help. Gave her a light watering as well cause the soil was pretty dry, think this winter weather is drying everything up quicker so probably gonna have to break out the humidifier.
Day 9 - Still doing good but a little light in color but got the humidity up and bit so we’ll see how she’s doing after a few days of higher humidity.
Day 11 - She’s still slightly yellow but she’s growing. I’ve been going very light with the watering so not sure what’s causing it. Maybe I’ll give her a very light feeding of nutes next watering and see if that helps.
Day 12 - She’s still looking a bit pale and not sure what’s happening. She’s barely been watered and soil is pretty dry so went ahead and gave her a small amount of water but added a little FoxFarm Big Bloom to it, so we’ll see if that helps.
Day 13 - Almost the end of week 2 and she’s looking a bit better after giving her a light feeding yesterday. I’ll continue to keep an eye on the pale color and may just stick with foxfarm’s schedule and continue giving her a feeding twice a week.
Day 14 - Ending week 2 and she’s looking ok but a bit dainty. She’s just not getting very big for being 2 weeks old but gonna keep at her and hopefully she’ll speed up.
Day 16 - Week 3 and she’s looking healthy for the most part but just not a very big girl so far. I’ve been running a lot of FastBuds and this is my first from Sweet Seeds so might just be how they are. Gave her a healthy drink of water today and will just continue to keep an eye on her.
Day 18 - Nothing much to report today, she’s chugging along. Did give her a bit of water and low dose of nutes.
Day 20 - Almost the end of week 3 and she’s doing good. Not much else going on with her but she was pretty dry so I gave her a bit of water. Will probably give her a couple more days and start some LST. I also added a little bit of soil to the pot to try and top it off. After a few waterings the soil compacted down enough to where it was only about 3/4’s full.
Day 21 - The end of week 3 and she’s looking pretty good and seems like she’s picking up the growing pace. Will definitely be starting some LST within the next few days to try and start getting light to the lower growth and to start getting her shaped.
Day 22 - Starting week 4 and will start doing some LST with her tomorrow. Gave her a light feeding of nutes today.
Day 24 - Gave her a bit of water today and was going to start some LST but I’ll be out of town for a week and my wife will be taking care of my girls while I’m gone so I don’t want her to have to deal with the training so I’ll start when I get back next Sunday.
Day 31 - Into week 5 and back from my vacation. Wife did good with her while I was gone. She definitely needed some water today so gave her a good dose and next watering I’ll give her some nutes. Pistils are starting to show already but will continue with veg nute a or another week or two. Finally started LST and hopefully lower branches will start stretching now.
Day 32 - Overall she’s doing well but she’s definitely been really pale in color compared to other grows I’ve done. I will probably up the nutes just a bit and hopefully that’ll help her out. Going to give her a couple more days and will continue her training.
Day 33 - Decided to hold of feeding her one more day. She was still slightly damp but should be ready for a feeding tomorrow. Continued some LST today so hopefully she won’t be stressed out too much.
Day 35 - The end of week 5 and she’s looking a bit better and giving all the tied down branches a little time to stretch before retying everything down again but trying to get everything to catch up to the main stem. Trying to rearrange the way she sits in the tent to try and get the lights to get the smaller branches to stretch.
Day 36 - Starting week 6 and did a lot more LST today. Was able to slowly tied the main stem down a bit to try and get everything evened out and she looks like she’s been taking nicely to the training. Did a check of the soil pH and it’s definitely higher that it should be (8.1), which could explain why she’s so light in color so will do a flush tomorrow and hopefully get everything squared away before she really starts flowering.
Day 37 - Was planning on doing a flush today because the runoff pH was really high yesterday but going to wait and recheck everything when I get the new solution in. Holding off of continuing LST for another day or so to get a little more stretch out of her.
Day 38 - She’s looking pretty good right now and still waiting another day or two and will continue the LST. Should have my new bottles of pH solution so I will be testing everything out once my pen is recalibrated.
Day 40 - She’s starting to take if now so did some more LST and retied a lot of the branches back down. Removed a couple big fan leaves at the top that were blocking the lower sites. Gave her the first feed of bloom nutes today and added a little molasses to the mix. Recalibrated my pH pen and checked the runoff and it’s a little high, 7.2 but it’s definitely not as bad as the 8.2 it initially was reading. Next watering I’ll give it a little lower pH to try and lower the overall pH in the soil.
Day 41 - Nothing much new happening with the girl right now. She’s good on water and just took her out and readjusted some of the branches and tucked a few leaves.
Day 42 - The end of week 6 and she’s progressing nicely now. Think I’m about done with the LST and going to let her start getting some vertical growth going. The branches are getting pretty stiff so don’t want to risk breaking anything. Will be giving her some fresh water in the next day or two.
Day 43 - Starting week 7 and she’s doing really good now. Starting to bud and flower nicely and looking forward to her really taking off. She wasn’t ready for water today but should be ready tomorrow.
Day 44 - She’s really doing good now and buds are developing nicely. She was really thirsty today so gave her a full gallon of plain pH’d water without cal-mag and pH’d to 6.4. I added a second 1000W LED light to the tent for now to give this girl and my other some more light since my bigger two are taking up some space. Once those two are harvested I’ll cut back to just one because my normal 76 degree temps are up to 81 now.
Day 45 - Nothing much to report right now. Just letting her go and do her thing and will give her a good feeding of nutes next watering and hopefully she’ll really start taking off.
Day 47 - Nothing much new today, she’s stretching about and inch every 24 hours but still not a big girl but she’s looking nice and healthy. She’ll be getting a feeding of butter in the next couple of days.
Day 48 - Gave her a feeding of nutes today, she took a full gallon. I was also told to add some honey to the mixture so we’ll see what that does. She’s not a very big girl but I had to tuck some leaves to keep a few bud sites open to the light.
Day 49 - Not much I can really say about this girl right now, she’s chugging along and doing great. Starting to get a bit frosty, just not a very big girl but still have a couple more seeds so will definitely try her again in the near future.
Day 50 - Starting week 8 and she’s budding up nicely. She’s starting to really drink up water so she’s getting close to needing another gallon or so. She’s pretty opened up so I haven’t really had to do much to her. Every now and again, I need to tuck or remove a leaf but other than that, she’s soaking up the light.
Day 51 - Did a little leaf tucking today and she’s getting really close to needing some water so will give some tomorrow. Other than that she’s doing great.
Day 53 - She’s looking good and starting to get nice and frosty. Not putting out much of a smell right now but might be getting covered up by my Aurora Borealis that’s close to being chopped. She was pretty dry so gave her a gallon of pH’d water and cal-mag today.
Day 54 - She’s filling in nicely and nothing else really going on with her right now. Next feeding I’ll do a check of the runoff pH and make sure everything is still good.
Day 55 - All looks great and she’s frosting up and filling in everyday. Will be chopping the Aurora Borealis soon so hopefully I’ll be able to start smelling the citrus from this girl.
Day 56 - She filled out quite a bit last 24 hours, she must of soaked up the water and nutes, the pot was pretty much dry so gave her a gallon of water and nutes today. I’m about out of FoxFarm so I ordered some Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect Grow/Micro/Bloom and gave her a feeding of those nutes. We’ll see how she does.
Day 57 - New week and all I can say is WOW. She’s definitely not a giant but she is getting frosty as hell and she’s getting fatter each day. I don’t see any signs of stress or burns from the new nutrients so I’ll say she’s liking them.
Day 58 - All still looking good and not much going on right now. Since I’ve chopped my Aurora Borealis, she’s got a bit more room in the tent. Will probably need some water on Friday.
Day 59 - She was definitely needing some more water today, pot was light as hell. So I went ahead and gave her another feeding of the advanced nutrients today. I can already see a difference in this girl since giving her one feeding with these nutes.
Day 61 - Almost the end of another week and my god she is one frosty girl and just getting frostier by the day. Won’t really need any water for another couple of days but will keep my eye on her.
Day 62 - Nothing new happening, she’ll need some water tomorrow for sure. Other than that, just watching the fattening and filling in each day.
Day 63 - She was thirsty today, gave her about a gallon and a half of water and another feeding of the Advanced Nutes. Checked with Advanced Nutrients in how often I should feed and they told me every watering but ensure water to a 10-20% runoff so we’ll see how it goes the rest of the way.
Day 64 - Starting week 10 and she is getting sticky and stinky. I did a pretty decent defoliation tonight, just to try and get some of the undergrowth going. The way she’s going, she might only have 2-3 weeks left but I have plenty of meds right now so I’m not in any sort of rush. I see ZERO signs of any sort of nute burns so I’m really starting to like the new nutes and so easy to mix.
Day 65 - Looking great right right now and went ahead and lowered the lights a bit, they’re now about 12” above the canopy. I had 3 other grows going on but for the second time in a couple months the wife left the tent open this morning and didn’t check before she left the room and one of our cats was in there and they destroyed my 3 little ones but left this and my Sour Raspberry Kush alone so deciding what to start next. She’s good on water until the weekend sometime.
Day 66 - Ended up having to give her about a gallon and a half of water tonight, she ended up drinking up what was left I guess. The lights being about 12” away seem to be doing her good and not bothering her at all.
Day 68 - Man oh man, she is frosty as hell and smells really sweet. By the looks of trichs and pistils, I’m probably gonna give her two more weeks until she gets chopped. If she needs longer, I’ll give her more time but I think 2 weeks should be plenty. She drank a ton of water so she might need more either Sunday or Monday.
Day 69 - She’s definitely ready for some more water but gonna hold off for another day, just to let her dry up a bit more. I’m gonna do another defoliation tomorrow as well and she should be good to go till the end.
Day 70 - She was ready for water today and gave her another feeding of nutes. This will be the last one and next watering I’ll flush with the Sledgehammer and she’ll just get water until she’s done. She is so damn frosty and sweet smelling, she’s gonna be a pain in the ass to trim.
Day 71 - She just seems to get frostier everyday, it just keeps packing on. This girl has definitely been on of the frostiest I’ve grown yet. The smell she’s producing just smells like sweet citrus and really looking forward to the chop but will probably give her till the end of week 12. So she’s got about 2 weeks left and the next watering, she’ll be flushed and nothing but water till the end.
Day 72 - Not much I can say about this girl right now, just waiting for trichs to be right to chop. Will give her a flush tomorrow or Friday.
Day 73 - I wish I could get good pictures of the trichs but I never can. I’ve tried different attachments for my phone and everything else but nothing seems to work but either way no clear left and 100% milky but would like to get at least 20-30% amber before chopping but at least I know she’s ready at any time now.
Day 74 - Gave her a flush using Foxfarm’s Sledgehammer and no just letting her go until she finishes off. Still not really seeing an amber trichs so she’s definitely not ready for the way I like it.
Day 75 - She’s starting to show a bit of amber trichs now but only about 1-2%. She could be getting chopped next weekend but possibly sooner depending on how she finishes off.
Day 76 - Was almost ready to cut the girl today but decided to hold off till next weekend. She’s already bulked you’re quite a bit but gonna give her time to feed of the nutes in the leaves and see how much more she will bulk up.
Day 77 - Nothing new, just waiting to chop. Might give her another flush tomorrow or Wednesday, just to make sure all the nutes are out of the soil.
Day 78 - Was just about to go ahead and chop today but decided against it and will give her till the weekend. She’s at about 25% amber so just about where I’d like her to be so just letting her completely dry out before chopping.
Day 79 - Just letting her go until the weekend when she’ll get chopped. Hopefully her being dried out gets her fattening up a bit before beforehand. She’s about 30% amber so thinking she’ll be right about 40-50% but chop day.
Can’t give a smoke report just yet as she was just chopped and starting to dry but might take a smaller bud and put it in my dehydrator just to give it a try. If not I will update a smoke report when she’s dry.
Update 27 Jan 2020: She dried a bit quicker than I’d like but doesn’t have that grassy smell, she’s still smelling amazing so place her into jars with the Broveda 62% pack so hopefully she’ll rehydrate a little and should be able to give her a try this weekend. Definitely not as much as I though but still happy with 40g, it’s just meds for the wife and I.
Overall this strain and genetic was almost perfect and an easy grow. She wasn’t a very big girl but could be because of low humidity during the early stages but still ended up will nice, fat and dense buds. Love being able to use this website to track everything and getting questions answered, when I have them, from other users and breeders. Will definitely be growing this again.
@MUDBUG, thanks bud, I’ll keep an eye on her. I haven’t given her any water yet but this was the first time I pre-watered the soil before putting the rapid rooter in the pot. Did it 3 days prior but maybe not long enough to dry out enough.
@Sweet_Seeds, most definitely enjoyed this one. Would love to try some different strains but I think I was told before that you don’t ship to the U.S and the place I normally order from is out.
@MindMeower, thank you much. She dried a little quicker than I’d like so I jarred everything up with a Broveda 62. She still smells amazing so can’t wait for the smoke.
@Sweet_Seeds, you get the chance, check this girl out now. She’ll probably be getting chopped this weekend. She’s sooo frosty and sweet/citrusy smelling. Thank you for creating some amazing genetics!!!
