still recovering from strip/lollipopping. This poor thing really was stunted from early on with lack of nutes and a transplant. Glad I’ve managed to help her along but a shame she’s not what she should have been... (my thoughts at this point)

A lot more LST to open up the canopy, I’m in no rush and have now decided it’s worth really helping this girl get to a good health/structure before the flip to flower.

First week of flowering commences tomorrow, light schedule amended this evening after a light defoliation, little LST adjustments and a watering. Upped the dosage of the bloom nutes vs the grow, PH at 6.7, just ordered a TDS meter for PPM calculations. Shall I lower the light level to the canopy? Any other tips for beginners and the beginning of flower? Nute recommendations? Thank you all for reading and I wish you all the best with your gardens 💐💨

I’ve just put another light in the tent to add wattage for flowering, I’m aware of the uneven coverage so will rotate the plant each day, multiple times if I can. Are there any other tips? Advise for this period? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Hello Jizzle, your girl is doing fine. She just started flowering a while ago. My advice is try to open your canopy more, by bending them down. I strongly recommend you lower your ph to 5.8 or 5.9, if yours is 6.7 its too high for your plants at this stage. It will safe you a lot of problems later on. Try to add a booster like bio heaven too the mix. Hope this was an helpfull answer, Keep on growing my friend. Peace 👍

I’ve added another light to enhance flowering, was given the light by a friend, it’s a few years old so no idea on quality but it’s meant to draw the equivalent to the TS1000 - 150watts Shall I lower the light level to the canopy? Any other tips for beginners and the beginning of flower? Nute recommendations? Thank you all for reading and I wish you all the best with your gardens 💐💨

Another steady week! Some serious development of the terps is in the air! 😝 Again some good growth both vertically and filling out the canopy. Bud sites are popping up here and there which pleases me as it’s turning out great for my first effort with scrog and LST! I swapped out the Bestiva LED for a 150watt HID Mh lamp. Really considering putting in a 600watt for the last few weeks, what’s your opinions!?? As always, tips and criticism all welcome guys and gals! Much love to you all and all the best with your own grows 👌👍✌️🌱😎

Holes in leaves? As seen in my pics (using keen eyes!) you will note some leaves that have grown almost mutated and with holes in them. Why is this?

Could be from the net but I’ve heard some bugs can cause holes to if there’s none under the leafs I wouldn’t worry about that it also could have got a tear when it was little an now that the leafs grown out it’s more noticeable hope this helps man.

This week was a good one! Lots of bud sites popping up and development of them all. I did a little more training after a thorough defoliation to really help allow air circulation and of course light penetration over the last few weeks of flowering. Pics say it all really! If there’s any tips or criticism, as always it’s welcome! 😁 Am starting to guess the yield on this should be alright, very happy with the even canopy just worried at times with how thick it has got. I therefore reduced the amount of nitrogen I’m giving and slowly increased the potassium and phosphorus dosage. Thanks again for reading! I wish you all the best with your own grows! 😎👌👍🤞💐

This week has been a good one! Not too much more stretch just simply filling up both the spaces with foliage and swollen buds! I’m now watering 6L every 3 days and she’s soaking it all up! Will feed strong for one more week then 2 weeks of flush :) Dehumidifier turned on and set at 40%, ambient air temp dropped to 23/24 day time and 18 with lights off, air flow changed up daily to really help her. Getting keen to harvest/cure/smoke and then put in the next round! 😊 I hope all my followers and readers are well and have great holidays! Keep growing, keep smoking and most of all keep smiling! Much love! 👌✌️👍💐💨😎

Still early days for a proper smoke 💨 report, however.... upon some testing of the popcorn nugs it’s a very pleasant smoke with peppery sensations on your tongue on the inhale and almost a sweet smooth cream on the exhale. After taste is a little bitter but I actually quite like it, I enjoy a long lasting taste from a smoke. A steady head high with a nice relaxed feeling, very relaxing 😊 I’m sure the smoke will improve over time (I’m going for a 30day Cure with daily jar burps for another 2 weeks from now). I really don’t want to rush the cure on this so I can fully appreciate a the smooth tasteful indica that Royal Queen 👑 Seeds intended!

wow what a huge and tree-shaped plant, youve done a great job in vegetation stage, iam sure you gt it done in flower without more tips^^Critical is a very good yielder... and a good quality weed too. Iam following up to watch your tree. The distance to the light loks good atm.. just watch it , cant say if its the perfect distance......
Gardener_of_Goodness
Gardener_of_Goodnesscommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, notes taken thank you again! I’ve been monitoring the tent ambient temps and the leaf surface temps. With additional bars in the tent to prevent such a decrease in size with the negative pressure. Having adjusted the oscillating monkey fan height aswell there’s an ambient of 26C/ 50%RH. The leaf surface temps are now a steady 26/27 degrees with gentle breeze. RH will increase tomorrow after the morning watering. Going to replicate last feeding as response seems to be good so far! Top max and bio heaven are in the post!

@Gardener_of_Goodness,there is no method its a mix of experience and feeling,,, and the look of the plants....if i get new lights i look at the plants ....start with adistance above the recommondations of the light company....and i look how the plant reacts if they are dwarfing ( short internodial distance) or if upper fan leaves looking bleached,, its to close... if they stretch/ flowers dont develop well its to far away.....iam orientating in the light companies recommendations. But noramlly in Flower , only more light is more LIght.... so watch them if uppr fanleaves look belached give more distance

@Gardener_of_Goodness, iagree. i want to build a scrog frame because i could not find anything that works, for my urban chilly i made one from bamboo, but for the tent i need to make a frame and flexible lining

@Mrs_Larimar, thank you, to be honest, I’m a little disappointed with the scrog net design having the holes so big. I’ve got the plant moved slightly over as there’s a seedling on the floor that needs some light 🙂

@Mrs_Larimar, 👋 thank you, I’ve got the Mars TS1000 in there for the benefits of LED and the 150watt HPS to boost during flowering. Can I be cheeky and ask your valued opinions on the issue with my leaves? I just got a 600w hps it’s perfect for a 3x3 to push it to the max man I’d go for it but don’t listen to everyone every inch adds more par and u can give a plant to much light if ur not adding co2 I like to watch the plant an see how close I can get it my brother has a 4x4 an he has a 1000w hps lets just say he always has some bleaching by harvest If he can’t keep it more than 20” away from the tops but my tent beats his everytime with less light.

Chaoticcommented5 years ago
@Gardener_of_Goodness,before I had 2 1500w cob leds they weren’t the optic kind mine was the china brand off amazon but so far this 600w is kicking there ass I got the cool tube as well it’s very easy to control the heat an humidity you’ll like it if u try it out having to buy more bulbs is a pain an summer time Ill prolly go back to led but I love the hps during winter my temps stay a perfect 77.
Gardener_of_Goodness
Gardener_of_Goodnesscommented5 years ago
@Chaotic, thank you for the input and from first hand experience :) I’m going to replace the lights with a single 600W hps in a cool tube and use a dimmable digi ballast. That way I can still control temps well with the extra heat and of course dial in the light height well. It’s a bit much for my tent but I do have the 2m height and plans for some big girls in here in the future 😁😎 How you finding the hps? Much different?
