Week 1 isn't very exciting, of course. Light nutes and darkness until she poked up from her shell, then she was off an running!

Week 3 we started to see some root rot occurring. This is likely due to temperature spikes that lead to really warm waters. It's also likely that the my previously measured out nutes caused the Hydroguard to go stagnant or something. This persisted for about 10 days, but as I removed rot it would always perk back up within hours!

Week 4 we continued to struggle with root rot, but an extra dose of Hydroguard is the standard from here onwards. Not sure if it's starting to go bad, but I'm having good results and I don't want to change anything! Weather has stabilized, after hurricanes and tornadoes rolled through. Ambient humidity would go from 90% to 40% overnight, and temps would match that as well. Wild stuff. Anyway, we're well into fall now and the tent (and I) are very happy about the stable conditions. She grew a lot this week. The roots made it into the water reservoir and it obviously shows!

Week 5 saw SO much growth. As one redditor told me, Strawberry Nuggets "grows like a 90s porn bush" 😂 I gave her a significant haircut as flowering gets underway. I think I may have been a few days early on trimming and switching to flowering lights, but at this point we are behind the curve on the flowering stage. My expectations on yield and my heart have sank. I hope she will recover nicely as we begin to bloom!

Took a lot of pictures this week showing how fast she's growing. It seems like almost every 12 hours I'm tucking leaves to make way for new growth. At the suggestion of @GalaxyToteBabe the best thing to do to manage this bushy growth would be to scrog, which I just installed moments ago and grabbed a pic of. This should help keep the canopy down and allow light in to the actively growing areas that will become bud sites in the coming weeks. I expected a 75ish day grow but this plant is HUNGRY and shows no signs of stopping. Just topped off the reservoir and put at least two gallons in. May have to consider increasing nutrients, as well. Any input is welcome!

Midway through the we finally started seeing FLOWERS! I count 8 buds so far, but I suspect a few more will turn up as we continue this week. I switched over to FloraNova Bloom and Liquid KoolBloom as this is more tailored to my grow than the original trio. Seeing darker leaves and heartier growth. Thanks, @CommanderCannabis ! One of these days I'll get a full understanding of EC/PPM and use that to dial in my grows. As this is only my second, experimentation is still fun and exciting.

She stretched a couple inches closer to the light this week, but I refuse to raise the light until she shows signs of light/heat stress. Proud of her for growing so tall and so dense so far - there are bud sites all the way down each and every branch. I did some heavy defoliation again for the third time and she already rebounded with more vegetative growth. I am impressed at how resilient she's been. I'm hoping to chop in four weeks for a Christmas harvest, but she may run past New Years. Hard to say at this point. Stay tuned!

Well, week 9 has come and gone in a flash due to Thanksgiving. I was out of town for a few days and came back to a monster bush all over again! This plant is out of control in the best way - she does whatever she wants! I think I'm going to leave her in all her leafy, flowery glory for a while, see how bud development goes. I can see them fattening up and the pistils are getting longer and longer. I have yet to see light stress even though the HLG100 is only 8-10 inches away from the top. I continue to be impressed with the resilience of this girl. Pretty plant. Happy with results and growth so far.

Week 10 was eventful. Started to see some N toxicity as the leaves were a dark emerald green and curling under with weak stems. I removed the weak vegetation and decreased the FloraNova Bloom, while increasing Liquid KoolBloom. pH was on a wild ride last week too, going as low as around 5.2 before I stabilized it around 6 pH. I'm in love with how frosty this girl is. The pistils have started turning orange, so I hope some fall coloration (pink flowers!) will show soon too! I still think we are on track to harvest by the end of the year, but time will tell. Regardless, I'm happy with the output and production. This is a very bud-laden grow and will only fatten from here! Stay tuned!

Week 11 is in the bag. Decreasing nutrients at this time in preparation for a harvest right around Christmas time! Half the plant seems to be producing orange hairs, while the rest keeps right on trucking. I think this will be a multi-harvest scenario. We'll find out in a week or two! Stay tuned! P.S. I'm noticing that I'm continuing to get airy/larfy buds again, which makes 2/2 grows. I went a little heavy on nutes in mid-flower and caused some N tox, which can definitely attribute to the bud problem. My temp/rH/pH variables were *really* dialed in this time, so I suspect my 100w HLG QB/LED isn't enough light. Might have to upgrade for 2020. I'm only growing one plant at a time in a 2x2 tent. Open to suggestions!

Week 12! Seeing some pH dipping, possibly due to late stage root rot. I doubled up my Hydroguard halfway through the week and the pH has stabilized. Weather is causing some weird fluctuation in the tent in RH and temp, but otherwise still going strong! Looked at a few buds' trichromes and seeing a good mix of clear/cloudy. Waiting to see more amber (5-10%) before I harvest. Another week (hopefully) or two and we'll be there! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a great harvest!

Happy Harvest Day!

Definitely grows as described - very leafy! Flowers did turn a shade of pink in the final weeks, which was lovely. I've marked this as "normal" for growing. She grows quickly, but requires some maintenance and a watchful eye due to the bushiness of the growth. I will definitely be giving this another go when I have more experience.

Overall, I am displeased with the quality of the buds, which is entirely 100% my fault. The buds are airy, small, and some were severely under developed while others were showing amber/cloudy trichromes. The genetics were lovely (shoutout to Mephisto!) and I will grow this strain again when I have more experience. My shortcomings were overdosing the nutrients in the flowering stage and too little light for my grow space. I also attempted many, many different training techniques, including topping, LST, and scrogging. I plan on remedying my lighting issues in the coming week or two, and have decided to go back to the basics on feeding and trying just *one* training technique at most, but right now I am tempted to just let my next one flourish all on her own. Stay tuned for my next grow - already planted the seed on New Year's Day!

Good on you. I'm seeing good signs all around. I can't get over how much quicker my girl went than yours. I was so mad at that idiot on reddit who told you to cull it. You're going to have a berry nice new year 😉

THANK YOU!!! God that make me so upset. I can't wait to harvest and shove it back in his face! LOL He's just a troll though, one post in 6 years, the rest of his comment history is shitposting on everyone else. I'm not worried about what he thinks. :) And a BERRY happy new year to you too!! It's gonna be a great December for us both!

im using GHE nutes and was following recommended dosage but plants were getting light in color. I then added floraNova bloom and Koolbloom and the color came back without any nute burn. try increasing your nutes is my suggestion. Other than that your plants look great. good luck w flowering.

Oh she looks so big! You run different lights during flowering? How do they differ? Just in watts? I have exfoliated mine like crazy. Looking forward to seeing those flowers form. I never realized how thankful I am for fabric pots until I saw your long LST lines. That must be tough!

ufgrowcommented5 years ago
@GalaxyToteBabe, Hey! I have a wattage increase in my flowering light, but it's also a "yellow" spectrum - 3k vs 4k. It encourages flower production! The long lines aren't so bad, I just clip them under the edge of the lid and they stay put. I have like 100ft reel of this stuff haha.

Leaving the girls on their own for a few days is so unnerving. You've got such a happy little bush. Once my pistols started changing, the bud sites started producing buds of a beautiful array of colors. It's an admittedly slow, squat process, but it has been interesting to watch the changes every day.

Oh your SCroG looks great! I'm sad you're not seeing pistils yet, but your growth is excellent and no signs of deficiencies, so when she's ready, she'll do her thing. Thanks for the shout out 😊

I say give that girl 3 weeks more, or maybe 5 ;)) she looks very strange, like one solid nug with no nugs ;))) Never growed all run under 24 hours light, N overdose always shit taste and small harvest, had one with cheap red-blue lights didnt realise how green are my leaves, if i would throw them out on week 6, i think in 10 weeks that they tried to flower i would harvest more imature buds with fresh run instead of them. After that lesson - less is more for me with nutes. I read a lot, that plant requare at least 6 hours of night and its cheaper on bill. I think i wont use 24 even in first two weeks of veg, straight with 18/6. I have self made QB , for your tent posh HLG light is more than enough. In my first diary you will see i veged 9 plants under one QB, and they grew very healthy. Finished 9 under 2 x 240 cheap HLG home made version ( same diods, same drivers, dif sink board and wiring )
the end.
