Clonex - Growth Technology

Welcome to week 1 of my hydroponics cloning method. I'm using a Platinum Super Cloner 30 Site Cloner This product in my opinion is majorly overpriced and I'd highly recommend purchasing a cheaper knockoff of this product or DIY a version for yourself to fit your needs. I have personally replaced the pump from this model of cloner with a higher quality pump and have made my own ghetto rigged sprinkler out of a simple piping and a drill because I've noticed most hydroponics sprinklers degrade quality over time. Basically it's just a tube with holes drilled in it so direct streams of water are splashing onto the stems to expose them to the nutrient solution water. It's not exactly DWC and it's not purely hydroponics either. It's Aeroponics as they like to say but not in the conventional sense that more professional growers use since I've removed the 'fancy' sprinklers that typically are associated with that method. I've personally had great success cloning with this method and I find it to be quite convenient since you can either transplant your clones into soil if you so wish or you can put them into a hydroponics grow if you so desire. It gives you versatility when cloning so that you aren't limited with how you transplant your clone. I'd also like to not that this method makes some very prolific roots quickly and I consider it to personally be my favorite method. It all comes down to preference but this is what I consider to be the most successful for what I like to do. Little maintenance except topping off the water and you can have successfully rooted clone in as little as two weeks. Sometimes sooner depending on the strain.

Welcome to week 2 of my lovely little aeroponics cloning method. They are absolutely explosive with their roots. As normal you can tell that some cutting like to root much faster than others do. At 14 days there are still a few that have fought rooting as well as a few that are clearly ready to be transplanted. Since this entire grow cloning 'experiment' is to be compared to my other no nutrient cloning method I'd say this method blows the other method out of the water. For comparison to no nutrient cloning vs this hydroponic nutrient method: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/4037-no-nutrients-clone-run-for-laughs You can see how at two weeks here that most of these girls are ready to be transplanted where as the other method the girls are struggling and not too happy about what I was doing with them. I'd recommend that anyone looking to make clones do some form of hydroponic method following the exact instructions for their preferred cloning solution as well as dipping the cutting in a little bit of clone rooting hormone gel. I'd consider this to be the preferred method of cloning for all my future cutting needs. I'll let these girls go another week so that I can do a full comparison for 20 days of cloning using my two different methods. I hope you all enjoy this 'tutorial' of sorts and it helps you with making your own cutting in the future. Cheers everyone :D

So the girls got so healthy and strong this last week they all started to significantly add height to themselves. One of the clones almost doubled it's height in the course of but a few days. I have to say this is clearly a superb cloning method to many others; I don't know enough to say it's the best but I'd say it's pretty darn close to the best method out there for cloning. I hope you all enjoyed my comparison to no nutrient basic rockwell cube cloning to this fancy Aeroponics method. Cheers

I told everyone I'd keep a few around and I have :D These girls will all be trained and yada yada until I feel like cutting clones off them or flowering them. I'll only end up keeping the best three for flowering unless all 6 turn out beautiful and then I'll find a way to flower them all but that most likely won't happen. As you've all seen they have some darn big roots and they've already wriggled their way through the soil to the bottom of their cups in a few day. I'll be transplanting them in the next week so they don't get stunted but I do also want to stunt them a little bit since I have time until I can flower them. I hope you all enjoy me continuing this run so that you can watch my process. It's pretty much always the same with this strain. I start about 12 and then I keep the best six after cloning. Then I train them and then I keep the best 3 for flowering. I hope you all enjoy watching this from start to finish. Cheers :D

These girls are just loving life. I'm gonna get their roots a bit more expansive until I see more white roots than I do soil until I transplant them which should be next week. They are shooting up with all their tops and I'll most likely be topping them all again soon to give them a few more branches. They should be ready to flower in about 6 - 8 more weeks of vegetation. Possibly sooner but the plants will tell me what they want when the time comes. They are looking beautiful and I just love them; I hope you all love them too. Cheers.

Just another week of veg. These girls were immediately transplanted into larger 'pots' the morning after the last picture for this week. They are just chugging along and vegging some more. I've topped a few of them and will continue to selectively top them until it's time to give them their final weeks of vegetation before flowering. Until then it's just fun times feeding them nutrients and vegging. I hope to add some more nutrients to the regiment this time around so within the next two weeks I'll be changing up my ratios and what have you. Wish me luck fam :D

Transplanted the girls this week and they've exploded with their root growth. Added the Cal-Mag Plus in a small quantity this week. The plants seem to love my new nutrient ratio for this part of vegetation. In the next week I'll be adding two more Fox Farm nutrients to the regiment. I'll be hoping to get their PPM to around 600 or possibly even 700 to veg them in a strong and healthy environment. Things are looking pretty darn good so far. I think I've decided the three that will be going into flower and the three that will stay vegging for a little while longer but there are still a few weeks to wait and see which ones I'll pick to be moms VS. the ones I pick to flower. I hope you all enjoy and stick around for the next week of growth to see how the new addition of nutrients takes to the plants. Cheers!

Changed up the nutrients again. I've been reformulating most of my Fox Farm regiment to better grow my plants after some personal testing with the ratios. It looks like the plants are absolutely loving this new change in their regiment from their explosive growth. Looks like they'll be ready to transplant in a few days to my new Maxx Yield pots. They are Air-Pots basically but made in the good old USA. I'm trying to make sure that all the products I use from now on are made in the USA. Looks like I should have no problem doing that and still keeping things top notch. I hope you enjoy another week of veg pictures. Cheers!

These girls are just loving life. I'm patiently waiting for my other flowering run to finish up so that I can transplant these girls into larger pots. I need some more space before I can put these girls in their new Maxx Yield pots. They are loving their nutrients and behaving well under their current regiment. I can't wait to see how happy they are once they get into their new pots. Until then it's just this week of pictures for you all to enjoy. Cheers!

These girls have finally been transplanted. I have selected the three that I wish to keep for flowering so these three are the only girls you will be seeing from now on. The other three are to become moms to pump out more clones for future grows. I've transplanted these girls into Maxx Yield 7 gallon air-pots. They look to be a tiny bit stressed but they are very resilient plants so they should perk up in a few days. They are now under my 225 watts Cree COB fixture to finish up their vegetation. For now I will wait for these girls to stretch up a few more inches so that I can train these plants into a full and even canopy. Then I'll lollipop them so I can have a nice and even canopy full of dense buds. Until then enjoy some more veg. Cheers :D

So over the weekend the girls had a little bit of an issue. Someone *Cough* Fiance *Cough* Decided she was cold and left a space heater on in the room where my tents are. Needless to say last Sunday I woke up to the temperature in the tents being 97 Fahrenheit. The girls took quite a bit of a hit because of the rise in temperature. Thankfully the girls seem to have recovered very nicely from this little fiasco. I'm hoping to have them ready to be lollipoped and ready to flower in the next two weeks. They are taking to growing into their new SCROG netting very nicely. Soon we shall move the tops around to train a very nice canopy in the coming days. Until then I must wait for them to grow just a little bit more. Until then I hope you all enjoy these lovely pictures. Cheers!

Welp, this is their last week of veg. I hope you all enjoyed me showing you all my process from day one of cutting the clones to the final training of veg. Now it's time for you to all see these girls flowering in the next week. Hopefully the plants love me as much as they did during veg through flower. They've been lollipoped and trained to their final flowering form. The only thing left for me to do is remove some fan leaves in the morning after their light comes back on. Wish me luck everyone :D

It's officially week one of flower for these girls! I've switched their nutrients over to my new flowering regiment as well as changed the light to 12/12. I've also added a CO2 bag that raises the CO2 500PPM so I'll be flowering at 900PPM CO2. Hopefully the girls take to their new conditions even better in the next week. I've adjusted quite a few things this time through for flower so it'll be interesting to see how all these things change the grow for hopefully the better. I hope you all enjoyed this update. Wish these girls luck and fat yields :D

Welcome to the beautiful week three of flower :D These girls are really starting to throw out their pistols and plump up their flowering nodes in this week. They are loving their CO2 and new higher nutrient regiment. No real height added this wekk and it looks like they'll need a little bit of supplemental nitrogen but other than that these girls are looking beautiful and smell fantastic. I'll be very happy to see them get even fatter in the coming weeks. Wish me luck :D

Geez Gents!! @BigDaddyK & @DabCrab This site is making a big difference for the Cannabis community - Tying all sorts of companies, growers and users to a platform that represents some of the best and most beautiful qualities of this remarkable plant!! Instead of passing negativity among ourselves, be proud of what you are accomplishing for the long-term goals of everyone who loves Mary Jane! This site (and every single user!) are not perfect, but thats why we are here... Because Cannabis is PERFECT and She takes up the slack 😍

Sooooo he can suck my cock because he's a little faggot Nancy boy who likes to harass people online. It won't end. Don't waste your time mediating. This guy is just a creepy old man who like to harass and ridicule people. All he does is talk shit and tell people they are wrong. He's a fuck stick and I'm greatly going to enjoy what comes next.

@DabCrab, I see, shit happens bro, all will be fine, as you are doing photos you have time, thats one of the advantages of making photoperiods, you have the flip to flower control. Autos are fun to make, but besides the perpetual capability in one single tent i'm not seen that many virtues for indoor.

if the yellowing starts to become more intense and affects more leafes raise your light up higher to decrease light stress
DabCrab
DabCrabcommented7 years ago
@Hazeman420, Yeah. I've got them about 20 inches from the plant. I've looked at PPFD tests and you really don't have much choice but to keep COBs in the 18 to 24 inch range. It's a heat stress issue from way too high of temps. You should have seen my face when I saw the thermostat turned up and a space heater running. I was like," NO, MY BABIES!"
Hazeman420
Hazeman420commented7 years ago
@DabCrab, haha ok :D otherwise be aware of moving the lights higher, my previous cob grow also started harmless to yellow like this, and then the upper leaves began to speckle and die slowely because of light stress (the temp. was fine though). the buds were still fine fortunately but some problems could have been avoided by knowing whats going on from the beginning now i have like 80cm distance from my cobs to my plants just to let you know :)

Zannabis7commented7 years ago
@DabCrab, I'm sure it comes down to trial and error and preference. I chose the cargo netting because it will give and move with the plant as it grows. We'll see it it works to train them. I can always tighten the net if need be. Grow on my friend - Zannabis7

DabCrabcommented7 years ago
@Zannabis7, Thank you very much buddy. I've heard a bit about just bending to make the perfect canopy. I love using the wire mesh personally. It makes things easy and It saves me a lot of time from having to hand train the plants. There are benefits to each I'm sure. I prefer to not have to spend much time other than selectively topping and bending the plant through the grid once.
