Day 1-Seeds were planted in jiffy pellets Monday, October 4th at 10 AM. Accidently let jiffy pellets dry out overnight, although after re-hydration 5/5 Seeds sprouted around the same time approximately 84 hours later. Journal and week one will start Friday November 8th at 10 AM. Day 3- Too much heat, temps were 100F so I put intake fan near window and temps are now steady 77F at night to 86F in the day. Day 4- Temps are about 82-88F End of the day, gave them a little watering. Day 7- Things seem to be going alright, i named all plants today and noted which is which. WW#3 looks to be overwatered possibly? will watch that and post an update mid week 2. I am currently planning on topping WW#1 and NL#1, as well as doing some minor tie downs to them as well, just to compare yield results with the non topped plants. The other plants will be LST.

Nov 23- Days are getting colder, allowing me to move the lights closer to the plants. I FIM'd both WW#1 and NL#1 on Day 14, both seem to be recovering well despite the broken shoots on both, and the deficiencies on both. I am aware that you're not supposed to top or FIM a plant with deficiencies but i am doing it myself since this is my first grow so i can see first hand what the results are with an auto flower. Nov 24- Deficiencies are definetly getting better. There are some leaves almost or barely touching the soil, not sure what im supposed to do there but they are slowly moving them up so i hope by tomorrow their tips are no longer in contact with the soil. The plants seem to love the light being closer as well. Day 17 / Nov 25- My PH Pen was broken, the PH at the roots was coming out blood red (4.0 or less) when i checked using another method, and the PH going in was also blood red. So pretty much i think the plants are suffering from nute lock out, which i then tried to fix with way way way too many nutes. noob mistake, because a noob is what i am. I flushed all 5 plants with quadruple checked PH of 5.8 plain water. the PH of the roots of the plants is now 5.5-6.0 instead of 4.0 or less. going to wait till the pots get lighter then feed a 1/4 or 1/8 dose of nutes again and work up to half the recommended dose, hopefully they all survive. Good news is the tape is cut off the branch that was broken on WW#1 and its completely holding itself up now and beginning new growth. Day 18 / Nov 26- No new signs of anything on any plant. took some before and after photos 30 hours apart from the flush and theres no new damage, and increased growth. WW#2 has almost caught up to WW#1 in size, and WW#3 is lagging behind a bit. Day 19 / Nov 27- Easing into a feeding schedule again 2 days post flush. Plants are growing substantially every night, with no new damage appearing on any of the new growth. Super interested to see what all the abuse and mutilation to WW#1 does to the yield compared to the 2 non topped and non snapped plants. End of week comment: Things are starting to grow great and preflowers showing on WW#1. leaves are curling a bit i think its from heat, going to raise lights up by another inch

Day 22- plants canopy is filling out well, im needing to LST every day almost. becoming very bushy! Day 24- broke a main branch off WW#2 oops lol, only one “unharmed” plant in the whole bunch now! Love and learn! Day 25- everything is going well, besides the fact that i accidentally perfectly topped WW#2, after breaking a branch off her yesterday... Ooops? wonder if shes going to be stunted from all the recent abuse. dAY 26- i need to stop getting drunk and training these. I $%&#ing topped WW#2... 3rd time.... i bend down the new growth, and bam, gone. only WW#2. im going to take SUPER good care of NL#2 and WW#3 now since theyre completely unharmed by my idiocy, to see yield differences Day 28- to my untrained noob eye things seem to be going better. there’s many many tops from the heavy lst so I build kind of a make shift scrog net over it just to help keep them separate and increase airflow. lots of bud sites appearing and no more damaging accidents. On to week five of my first grow! Still super intrigued to see how the plants are going to react to all the abuse. They look okay to me currently, specially with how sick they were in the beginning. I wonder if all the abuse will affect the quality of the bud or just the yield or a bit of both.

Plants just won’t stop growing, seems like I get up everyday and they’re just exponentially bigger, looking back at the yellow crusted half dead plants I had in earlier weeks they definitely look healthier although I see some nute or light burn on the tops of some leaves. I welcome any advice from growers to help me along the way

Day 36 Update: So they all just like, quickly became 2 feet wide each and they pushed WW#3 out of the tent. Only WW:1 WW#2 and NL 1 and 2 remain, with NL 1 being the one that hasn’t stretched yet on the right. I have WW3 trimmed to death and under 4 23 watt cobbs as a house plant now. Lots of lessons learned this grow. Going to let WW1 & 2 and NL 1 & 2 all grow out and up now. WW#1 is a mess inside the canopy, a lot of dense jungle inside from where i created too many branches while training and FIMing. Seems to me the better thing i did this grow was just top and LST. When i FIM'd the plant and LST'd her, it made her WAY too hard to handle. I could not keep up with all the branches and where they were going. Im going to try not to worry about it all too much now and allow the 4 main plants to grow out and up with minor LST to allow light to penetrate deeper. Getting warm warm weather the next 2 days. 20 degree C flip in temp so i hope theres not too much heat in the tent the next few days, ill be watching that. Day 37 Quick Update: They recurved some very minor light burn on the very tips of some fan leaves so I raised lights. WW#1 seems stunted. the other plants took off and have over 10 inches of height on her now so I have her on a bucket to be closer to the lights. Day 38 Update: Day 40 Update: Day 42 / Week End update:

WW1 is flowering nicely and filling out, and ww2 and NL 1-2 are 35+ inches. Accidentally snapped the two main colas off WW#2.... oops. Still a massive massive plant.

Ran out of headroom in the tent, WW#2 is sitting at about ~49 Inches Tall with NL 1&2 close behind at around 42 inches. WW#1 is flowering nicely and sitting at 27 Inches, propper up on buckets and with added supplemental lighting which will also help the lower budsites on main colas on the other plants. Hope that WW2 doesnt stretch any further or i'll have to start training it a little to keep it away from the light but growth is definitely slowing at least.

The buds on WW#1 are packing on weight, the heartiness of these plants amazes me, I feel it must be the great genetics from Dinafem and RQS because it’s certainly not my skills as a grower. I think I’m nute burning the buds a tiny tiny bit, I’m currently doing a 3:2:1 ratio of the florabloom series 2-3 times a day till run off. Going to slightly lower the amount of nutes and see where that leads me. The smell coming off the two strains is incrediblely distinct and delicious smelling, I find myself standing in front of the plants wafting the air towards me. My carbon filter seems to not be working very well, although I’m not really complaining as stealth isn’t an issue for me, I’d wear this as a cologne... lmao End of week comment: things are well. No major major issues. WW1 nugs are massive and sticky, extremely dense. Lower buds are super lose, probably due to the looming beer bottle nugs above them blocking light. No idea when to harvest though- if anyone has any advice I’d appreciate it. I literally cannot tell the difference between trichomes with my 40x loupe. They all seem clear to me. Maybe some cloudy ones.

if possible, Judging by photos, roughly estimating, can anyone tell when WW1 will be ready for harvest? (Recent photos are marked WW1 week 9 end). Lower buds are very loose but have some brown hairs. Tichomes look clear / cloudy to me through 40x loupe. Cheers!

Hi MemesBeforeDreams Hi buddy looking at your pictures weeek 11. You have 2 maximum 3 weeks more to go. Your plants looks nearly fully matured if you plan doing flush I think now is your time. Fully matured plants 1-Eye inspection 90% brown hairs plants are matured ( old style method ) 2-you have a 10% purple/amber Trichomes and 90% milky white Trichomes this can be inspected with jewellery loop. Cheap options available online. 3- Pros use Microscope 🔬 for perfect timings for harvest. Hope this helps and good luck

Yellowing of WW#2 is worrying me, looks to be a nutrient issue maybe? I raised the light above WW#2 by 4 inches in case its light burn as well. Other than that and the nute burn on The other plants things seem well. End of week update: things are looking great, I think whatever happened to WW2 is reducing its ability to form buds? Not sure. It’s looking okay, hoping they’re going to fill out well! Definitely need to grow the widow XXL again, it’s a shame I had another plant fall on WW2 and damage it, likely contributes to the yellowing and such. WW1 still has no amber trichomes, waiting for this entire week to end before I even think about harvesting. I am eager to harvest so I can get more light to lower buds on the other plants. I had to tie up 1/3 NL2 main colas. It was so heavy it was beginning to split the bottom stalk, there was no damage really just maybe 1/20th of the stalk was peeling from the weight. I tied him up to the light and everything seems well. I figured I wouldn’t run into that problem, but don’t underestimate how much weight buds can pack on!

Plants are about total of 79 days from seed, day 75 of diary. I had to tie up a bunch of colas because they were again beginning to fall over from their weight. As far as I can tell the yelling of WW2 isn’t really getting worse. I’m having a really hard time focusing my eyes on seeing amber trichomes but I know I seen some on sugar leaves, so holding out till I harvest the entirety of WW1, but I may chop another larger cola tomorrow to practice drying some more. I cut a branch off WW1 and dried for 4 days, it’s currently curing and drying further but I couldn’t help myself and smoked half the 7 gram cola already... side note, extremely smooth and kicks my ass. Very strong head high with a mild body high is what the samples seemed to give me, great stuff. Also nugs dried to dense sticky nugs with a light grassy smelly, surprisingly it is amazingly smooth without cure and has a mildly sweet flavour. I’m extremely impressed that I’m this high from something I grew to be honest, great genetics from Dinafem. Can’t wait to test out the North lights as well. MASSIVE Swings in temps recently. -15C 5F outside and im drawing that cold air into the tent... and my bed room... Root temp is kept above 60 and if it gets too close to 55 i will turn fan lower but other than that i allow myself to freeze, if i turn up heat to combat it i'll worry about mold from condensation because of the two temp extremes. Not sure how to solve this, so for the time being ill sleep with two blankets... rofl... i do enjoy that purple color... rest of the house is fine temp wise as i keep the door shut however, there is literal ice inside my bedroom outtake and in take... Buds just wont stop packing on weight and sprouting new white hairs, getting purpler and purpler. I really need WW1 to just stop so i can get more light to the other larger plants, but damn it just wont! I'm not complaining though...

Harvested WW1 late day 81. I could see about 5-10% amber trichs upon inspecting them with my new loupe. Will update journal with official harvest and review after WW2 finishes up! Everything went well and I currently have it hanging in 58.5 F temps and 55% humidity. As for other plants I’m betting NL2 is next up for harvest- her colas are massive and toppling over now and I’m needing to hold them up with wire. As for numbers on the WW1 harvest... drumroll.... i did NOT weigh her... lol... one of the colas were 72 grams wet and i had 109 grams of very high quality trim (including popcorn nugs) which i made edibles with, which promptly knocked me unconscious after the 10 hour trim time. Good day today on day 81

Absolutely blown away by the yield of this plant. Due to training and supplemental lighting (3-5 23 true watt CFL depending on temps inside tent) i got many many popcorn buds, and manged to make 3 cups of very potent coconut oil with the trimmings, i am also infusing alcohol with leaves to make some CBD heavy low THC alchohol to drink. I still have the much much larger, but seemingly sick widow #2 to harvest, depending on how she turns out i may use her to make more alcohol and oils. The buds are currently jarred up sitting at around 65% humidity curing. I am burping a few times a day, the humidity slowly raised to about 67 over the course of a day then i burp. I let plants hang dry for 7 days and cut stems and nugs off and let dry on counter for a while longer- then placed in open jars and rotated once every few hours with open lids till humidity was sub 65% when closing the jars. It has been 24 hours and humidity does not rise about 67 with burping, and so i believe the cure begins. WW1 Yield Break down: ~135 grams dense high quality bud 42 grams popcorn bud I will update weight if it lowers by a little during the first bit of the curing process, i'll only be sampling popcorn buds and leaving the large buds to all cure. Thanks Dinafem for the great genetics because i messed up a lot during this grow... that is one resilient plant right there! and a big thanks to my country for allowing this!! I WILL UPDATE WW#2 HERE AS WELL WHEN SHE IS READY. SHE IS GOING TO BE A SOLID WEEK OR SO. UPDATE: Jars have been level at 60% Humidity for 3 days now and weight has changed. Buds are quite dry with a very nice smell., i believe the cure has begun. Total weight is now revised above. Total weight is ~170 gram

LIVE PLANTS: things seem well enough. I fanned out and tied up the 2 remaining ladies to get more light penetration. I may harvest The NL in sections now that I have the room to fan them out. the remaining widow doesn’t seem to be any worse yellowing wise, if buds don’t turn out right no harm... it’s all a learning experience and I’ll use them to make a kick ass oil! NL HARVEST: Got 220g wet trim and popcorn bud from NL all for edibles. I left some tiny bud on the stuff drying as well to sample later. I simply don’t need this much marijuana dried bud so I’ll be cooking a good portion of small buds into edibles to store it easier. Fanning out the two remaining plants to get more light to those lower buds. The NL was toppling over from so many bud sites and weak stems. i had him all tied up in the tent to support himself, but when we took him out to harvest he just couldnt stand straight. WW1 HARVEST UPDATE: Total dry weight is about 175 grams. buds have been a stable 59% humidity in jars without boveda and 63% with So I’m going to be burping and curing for a few weeks. Total wet trim for WW1 was 112 wet and 28 dry. I find it to be very strong, it’s a little harsh out of a bong, likely due to not curing yet, extremely tasty and smooth in a joint. Burns perfect white ash. Can’t wait for the cure to set in!

Gorgeous dense dank stinky nugs. Love it! Tastes amazing in a joint. Used A LOT of lower buds for oil. It was about 50 grams after being decaf bef including trim, this likely lowered the yield a bit as I didn’t count these buds towards the yield.

WW2 collapsed on itself and I didn’t notice for 2 days lmao... oops. All is well though I tied the buds up and added some support to help them stand. The other Northern Lights has been harvested and dried, and is just entering curing now after a week and a half. Even after just a few days of jar time it’s got an amazing scent and flavour. I think I dried WW#1 too much by burping too often and too much or something, smell is super light and bud is now pretty dry. However, it’s extremely smooth, has a good smell (just light). And it absolutely kicks my ass! WW#2 in the tent has nice looking buds considering how yellow and defoliated she is super impressed! The last NL has some funky buds going on compared to the last. Fox railing and such. Doesn’t bother me any but I’m wondering if it’s a sign of stress or genetics?

Trimmed up better than I thought with all the light burnt (?) leaves. Nice and purple. Drying is going well and they’ll be ready to begin cure in 2-3 days.

You did the right thing by moving the lights up because the yellowing could be coming from light burn. WW#1 is starting to look dank!!!
