Got this as a freebie from GYO seedbank and it's tangerine dream auto I believe. I forget exact date I planted it but it's around 9-11 weeks. This was the first auto I've topped and this strain responded very well and is set up for some serious weight. I don't know much about the breeder so I can't speak for the quality of this strain but up to this point I'm pleasantly surprised.
Developing a strong aroma of sweet peaches
The pics do it no justice in person she is enormous at 40 inches tall and 36 inches wide. She takes up a quarter of the tent and sucks up nutes so hopefully she rewards me with some quality nugs I don't want a hp of hay rather a g of the bangdang
Buds are swellin up at this point just have to ride it out. Smell is the best part but starting to be a problem taking in and out of the tent for water
Been flushing with florakleen and r/o water for a few days now and previously flushed and used just terpinator to saturate the coco. I have been having some trouble getting the strong aroma from my recent harvests and Idk if it's just autoflowers in general or something I'm doing. I'm thinking either too much nitrogen late in flower trying to push ppms as i noticed a bit of a hay smell from some seedsman strains when initially hung. The fastbuds have all had decent smell whereas alot of seedsman literally had none. It could also be temps humidity anything else but it's driving me crazy. This one stinks but won't know if she can hold it thru the dry and cure. This was the only seed I had from this breeder so I hope someone else does a diary on something from their line to compare. I highly recommend this one.
Wow, this is the final update for this strain. 230 plus grams dry of sellable high quality nugget. Honestly I'm shocked at how bomb this came out. I will try to remember to post a video to show how dense the buds are. Anyone who give GYO seedbank a shot should try and get their hands on this one whether you buy it or a freebie. I am obviously a big fan of fastbuds and all their strains and this one is right up there with some of their finest. Maybe it was a fluke but we won't know until someone else grows it so give it a shot! Thanks for following along guys and I appreciate all the support and words of encouragement.
This strain is awesome. I don't know anything about the breeder this was a freebie seed that was planted on accident [meant to drop a northern delights from 00seeds] but I'm happy i fucked that one up. She was topped and took well over 90 days to finish but has long rock solid colas and stinks the house up with a fruit/citrus/tangie smell. Expecting a heavy yield and will continue to update throughout the dry and cure. Wet weight of the 4 main colas was 550g along. Buds were dipped in a bucket of RO water before they were hung up.
This strain was easy to grow and thrived throughout in optimal conditions. I did not remove lowers on this plant and it was topped, even the majority of the lowers dried up into dense little nug balls. The smell kicked in mid way thru bloom and held throughout. I would describe the aroma as a fresh sliced peach with a little fuel kick. I did smoke a few sample joints and noticed immediately it was much smoother than my previous crops maybe due to the switch to r/O h20. The taste is citrus all the way and the high left me feeling focused and euphoric. One of those highs where you smoke sitting back on a lazy boy or laying down at the end of the day not intending to get back up, but shortly after smoking and thinking for a few your inspired to get up and put in a little creative work on whatever your passion is. For me it got me to pick up the guitar and then roll another joint ;). Thanks again for following along and I hope someone, anyone is inspired to grow this strain out and if you do I will be following.
@Chaos85, no nothin like that I just have dogs so I try to be extra careful of gettin hair or dust or anything on the buds but it's impossible even changing clothes everytime in or out still impossible so for good measure I like to give em a rinse if it's not too much of a pain in the ass. Lately I just use a blacklight and if I see any debris on the buds I'll rinse em
Thats quite the dream you have there buddy. This is gonna be quite the high yielding strain :D
Great work here!!! I can't wait to see what the yields are from the beauty, best wishes :D
7 gallon smart pot is the magic number for giants . That’s a really cool grow you have going. I keep coming back to it and looking over all the pics of this week and last. 👌
@CaliGrown, thanks bro I appreciate that. I would love to do all 5 or 7 gal but the footprint would limit the number I could fit in the tents. Thanks again
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised,
Haha ya she's a moose but she's an autoflower so can't clone. This was a freebie from GYO seed bank when I got some fastbuds gear. Thanks bro
@Tonino, thanks toni she's gettin chopped tonight I'll take some pics of the 4 monsters wet weight I'm very excited for this one, hope it yields similarly to the sour diesel haze and we'll be in business
Looks beautiful, I find that my strains stink , then when dry stop smelling so much , then after 1 month of curing it comes back , I also think it depends on how much fresh air you get into the dry room
@BigDaddyK, ya same at the initial chop mine still have a strong smell, I wash my buds even though I don't do any sprays I just like the thought of having them clean enough to eat off the stem like corn on the cob style.
I use r/o water when i wash so it's not like it's leaving chemicals behind or residual build up. This upcoming chop im not going to wash them all i was careful to keep them clean.
By the time they are done drying which is like 7-10 days in a little 3x3x5 drying tent with a small 190 cfm exhaust fan blowing out at 50-60% rh and around 59-68 degrees f, they barely smell. Then
I cure in glass wide mouth mason jars for as long as possible but even after 2 weeks the smell is still bland. I use both humidipaks 58% and 62% depending on what way the TH swings in the jar I wonder if those kill the aroma a bit.
Idk I'm gunna try some new things but it's very frustrating to have these good lookin buds without the smell to match. Thanks for sharing capt.
@BigDaddyK, thanks bro nah it's GYO seed bank, I went thru them once cuz my card wouldn't go thru on multiple websites without calling bank but they were np. Turns out their genetics aren't half bad either i guess I've treated this the same as all my other plants other than topping an autoflower and the 7 gal smart pot. Idk well see how she finishes Thanks again
