Week 7, concluding the seventh week of vegetating:
Hi(gh) guys!
I’m back on track with my obligations, and enough is happened to make an interesting new update again. I’d started on Friday with removing the set of fan leafs corresponding with the top two branches, and on Saturday also removed the two fan leaves from the set of branches below that. It’s a bit of a shame because I’m removing the biggest healthy dark green leafs that can deliver lots of energy for growing, but on the other hand being so big they prevent a lot of light from reaching the lower branches. And my plants at this point do have enough leaves to prevent from retarding too much, so I think I’m going to be fine.
Saturday I bought some longer sticks for the mainline adapters. Every plant now has them applied to the lowest set of branches and the set above. All of which still have their big fan leaves, so they can continue growing for a while, and the branches need to continue to grow passed the top set of branches forming nice bushy plants. Last week they got their last dose of More Roots, and since they grew so big I did up the amount of both Organic Grow Liquid and Growzyme into 2ml/l for this week and see how they continue from here.
I should have cleaned the tent by now but this week I’d had to give myself a little recovering time, so that’s going to happen on Monday, and then the plant will move into it also. With the longer sticks inside the mainline-adapter the three plants fit only just inside the pop-up tent in the kitchen, so it’s time.
I had bought some ‘little green bag’s’, darkgreen paper bags that is. My plan was to use them to block light from some branches, to allow others to grow past them. I have given it some thought, but I don’t think it’s going to work. I’m afraid to partially put those branches into flowering already, and apart from that I think the bags also too small anyway. I’ll try this when I’ll start growing autoflowers. For now I desided to guide the longer offshoots at the top of the plants to the side also. That way the lower branches have more light and more time to catch up.
I’m looking forward to see you back and check on the Gold Bar’s progress next week!
Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
I don't know the solution, but even though the pic is fuzzy, I can see an eye and some legs, that is definitely a thrip. If you Google Image that, you'll see right away that's what it is.
Hi Bud, 20 weeks of grow=? omg... iam not that patient.
Girl looks wonderful, and the thripse are under control... sounds grat looks great. Happy flush
@Mrs_Larimar, hi, yeah well i'm hoping to reach a certain level of quality, and my Gen. I Led-lights don't eactly hurry things up, so it takes longer to reach that point. That would be my best exp, only also realizing the longer a grow takes, the bigger the chance to pic up some pest! Thanks, nice to hear 👊
Hello friend. How are you? I haven't written to you in a long time. Do you still smoke the buds from the last harvest?😜
I'm running out of staff. 😩
I've started a new cycle, check it out!👊
