Week 16, concluding the fourth week of flowering:
Hi(gh) guys!
Finally the branches with the paper bags on them could be cut off, and I was waiting for that because now I can spread the little light from below from the single beam better underneath. I’d inspected all of the bag’s content, and was happy to see some cluster of male flowers that where not yet ripe. So I have taped the undersides from the bags and placed them into a bit of water beneath the window to further ripen.
The plan is to use the still heavily under light set of branches beneath the main canopy for making the seeds. These branches lost almost all their leaves and support little offshoots with small underdeveloped buds. I must see how they develop now there is more light available, there is some time until the pollen are ripe.
Above those dedicated sets of branches with plant A and B sits the main canopy. I would hate to sacrifice those buds for making seeds, so I hope it’s going to work with the available material. We’ll see.
Main canopy looks great and starting to smell great too. Every day there is a more pronounced citric smell noticeable. And it’s starting to look great too! Plant C I left basically alone after topping and training and has become a beautiful plant with nice bud sites. Because of the short internode space the lower branches really did grow almost to the level of the top ones. I didn’t do any defoliation until now, apart from the leaf that came of naturally. Now some of the lower buds that are there became too light colored, so a good amount of large leaf was removed. Light penetration must improve real good now, and they need to go for another six weeks until their completely done.
I’m looking forward to see you back and check on the Gold Bar’s progress next week!
Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
I don't know the solution, but even though the pic is fuzzy, I can see an eye and some legs, that is definitely a thrip. If you Google Image that, you'll see right away that's what it is.
Hi Bud, 20 weeks of grow=? omg... iam not that patient.
Girl looks wonderful, and the thripse are under control... sounds grat looks great. Happy flush
@Mrs_Larimar, hi, yeah well i'm hoping to reach a certain level of quality, and my Gen. I Led-lights don't eactly hurry things up, so it takes longer to reach that point. That would be my best exp, only also realizing the longer a grow takes, the bigger the chance to pic up some pest! Thanks, nice to hear 👊
Hello friend. How are you? I haven't written to you in a long time. Do you still smoke the buds from the last harvest?😜
I'm running out of staff. 😩
I've started a new cycle, check it out!👊
