Everything seems to be going ok, although I have some concerns about coloration of leaves. anyone care to chime in? Do I have an issue going on? I have light about 30" from buckets, I recently raised lights up much higher as I was concerned this discoloration could be caused by light burn.

Hello dear friend Maybe poor assimilation of nutrients due to a bad ph or too much fertilizer that starts a lockout and potassium deficiency. PH is a very important factor to consider, as well as fertilizer dosages. The pH should be adapted according to the stage of life of the plants, so that they can correctly absorb the nutrients present in the nutritive solution. During the growth period a PH of 5.5 will be ideal for small plants or cuttings, then we will gradually increase it to 5.8. When flowering, we can vary the pH to 5.9 during the two weeks of stretching (especially for indica plants) so that plants have better access to nitrogen and some of the PK, and others micro elements. In this way the plants will have permanently all the necessary food for a beginning of abundant flowering and without deficiencies. In the flowering phase, the rank of PH will have to fluctuate from pH 6.0 to pH 6.2 for better absorption of the nutrients present. At the end of flowering, the pH can be increased to 6.3-6.4. An imbalance of PH in cannabis and all plants in general will make nutrients less accessible and force plants to tap into their nutrient reserves in larger leaves.

First ( largest seedling ) stalled and started yellowing, plucked that one once I saw that it stalled for a few days, smaller seedling took off in growth, however now have some brown spotting on older leaves, not sure what's going on. Cut the first set as they were spotting much worse and concerned may be a fungus issue. **UPDATE I suspected Calcium / Mag deficiency after some research. Dosed some cal/mag since I'm using distilled water and 1/4 strength *PHPerfect nutes. Trimmed off the damage to prevent plant from diverting nutes to save the leaves. Huge burst of growth within 24 hours and she seems much happier.

After adding a light dose of Cal/Mag the brown spotting stopped spreading. She experienced a huge burst of growth and looks much happier!

Things are going great, rigorous LST and finalized outdoor carbon filter output for flowering, she is already quite the stanky.. I counted 18 flowering colas, I LSTed this girl into a carpet of colas. I will switch nutes if i do another grow, have had a lot of issues with rust colored spotting, that was helped by cal/mag and some PH adjustment. I've come to the conclusion that these nutes are not good for Autos in a hydro setup, when using an auto adjusted mixture, they simply don't have the additional nutrients to sustain a hydro set-up at a lower concentration, then the PH altering aspects conflict with the supplementation of these needed nutrients. Too much hassle. Also not using carbo-load, just granulated sugar ;) Second bucket is 1 Deep Purple haze, and the strongest of 2 bubblelicious seedlings that i replaced the abort with. I *believe the surviving big girl is Tonic Ryder CBD strain.

Is it just me? Or is AN PH Perfect Line of Grow, Micro, Bloom really a bad choice for Autoflowering Hydro Grow.. I've had to supplement Cal/Mag and manage PH because of that. They should release an Auto Specific Nute.

99% of the nutrients out there wont hold a steady pH. Especially when you add the boosters. Maxigro and maxibloom are where it's at if you don't want to mess with pH a lot. They hold steady after the initial adjustment. I don't even make a habit of checking mine through the week but it is always perfect when I do. And I used to be able to run without calmag when I used tapwater but definitely have to use it since switching to RO. It would be pretty awesome if nutrient manufacturers would try to develop an auto specific line.
