Grow 5

Week 1: set up the tent, added the exhaust fan and lights, set up timer, etc. Germinated 2 seeds: Blue Monkey and Special OG Kush Both germinated and look great

Week 2: Transplanted to larger pots with new potting soil. flushed the pots and put the girls into the tent. Pots are beginning to dry out, but still a bit too wet. No water or nukes will be added until they dry completely out. Both plants look good, with a little curling of the Special OG (too much water, should be fine if it dries out completely.) will start LST and/or topping next week. Experimenting with which is better for my setup. Probably LST the Special OG and Top the Blue Monkey.

Week 3: All is well. The overwatered Special OG dried out nicely and I added about 7 oz of Big Bloom for each plant. Will start LST and topping in a day or two.

Week 4: All is good, this time the plants have stayed low and have not over-stretched. I have kept the lights about 12 to 14 inches and this time have added 2 14W LED standard lights. Makes it easy to take pictures, just turn off the UFO LED, and the plants seems to like it. * topped both plants * alternating Fox Farm Big Bloom with every other watering, about 7 oz. of BB each time. Decided to just do one topping and leave the plants alone, no LST, want to see how quickly I can move the plants to flower and harvest. Yield has not been great for the last two grows, so, maybe I can turn the grows around quicker instead of spending more time trying to maximize yield. Will move to 12/12 lighting schedule next week and add the two 36Watt grow lights.

Week 5 Everything looks good. * Replaced the 14w standard led light bulbs with the 36W LED full spectrum Grow lights, left a 14w standard bulb to use when making pictures. a little water and sprayed the soil. * Turned the timer to a 12/12 light schedule (8am to 8pm) Smell is getting strong so I will move the exhaust fan/filter to always on. * the whole configuration is only drawing 1.58 amps (about 189Watts). This includes Exhaust Fan/filter, 150W UFO LED, 2-36W grow lights, 1-14W light bulb, internal fan. Still feeding about 7oz of Fox Farm Big Bloom diluted 4 tblspoon/gal every other watering (about every 2 days)

Week 6: everything looks good, but getting some "curling" on the Special OG Kush. The Blue Monkey looks fine. Both are in a preflower stage. I gave them both some water and will stay away from the nukes for this week. (I had been feeding them every other water) Also raised the lights (may have been too close.

Week 7 Mostly looking good. The Blue Monkey looks very good, starting to flower. The Special OG Kush is looking better, but still a bit sickly. Not canoeing like it was and much of the curling has stopped. It is starting to flower, but the flowering looks deranged. I hope for the best. I have cut the Fox Farm Big Bloom to 1/4 strength and will add in a few days. Both plants are still a bit wet from the flush, so I'm going to let them dry out a bit more. I will add some CalMag for good measure. 4 Days into this week: I added more Cal-Mag and a 1/4 dose of Fox Farm Big Bloom a few days ago. The Special OG Kush looks much better, but doesn't seem to be fully flowering. Looks like a pre-flower condition. The Kush is stretching and near the maximum height of my tent. I will give it another week to see if it will fully flower, and if not, will harvest and use for tincture. This would make room for the Blue Monkey. The Blue Monkey is continuing to look very good, flowering and growing buds. *** For what ever reason, the Special OG Kush was still not looking good, not flowering. Double checked to make sure it was female, it was, so to make more room for the Blue Monkey I cut the OG down and will dry it for tincture. This will also give the Blue Monkey more light and room.

Week 8: Special OG Kush was not looking real good, so I harvested it and will use it for tincture. It had some issues and never really came back. The good news is that the Blue Monkey is looking really good and on it's own it will have more space and light to fully mature and flower. The pistils look very healthy and vibrant. Started using Tiger Bloom.

Week 9 Everything looks good. Had a bit of a scare with a couple of lower fan leaves turning brown and drying out. I think I had a light too close and at the same time started Tiger Bloom. Anyway, I removed those leaves and haven't seen any more issues. This is one of the best flowering I have had. Stretching and looking good. Can't wait until it's time to harvest. I noticed that I really have to be careful with the nukes and have backed off a little more. Shows some signs of burning on lower leaves, though the buds are looking good and feeling out well.

Week 10: Everything still looking good. I pulled back on the nukes a little, seeing some burning, but it looks superficial. Buds are looking real good. Showing some amber pistils, but still mostly milky color. I am planning to harvest in two weeks, but will monitor how the flowers mature.

Week 11 Everything is good. Flushed and pulled back on the nukes. The buds are looking real good and planning to harvest next week (maybe). Very happy with this grow. Happy growing everyone!

OK, this is my best harvest yet. Seems nukes in the right place and time can really help. I'm sold. Also, the loss of the Special OG Kush plant, seems to be a boom for the Blue Monkey.
