This week I transplanted Kalashnikova into a larger pot of organic soil and perlite. She has handled the move perfectly and continued to thrive. Each new topping growth has regrown evenly and nicely. It was at this time my last Kalashnikova began to flower so I am very encouraged that there are no signs of flowering this time around, and I will be able to see what this strain can really produce. We have excellent warm weather at the moment, except we have not had any decent rain for too long. I collected rainwater from the last deluge, but have nearly run out so reluctantly I may be going back to filtered tap water shortly.
@Shooey, I think if it’s watering, leaves would be droopy. And if it leads to root rot it wouldn’t be just light green. You would loose leaves.
Tip burns, a tad strong on nutes.
Yogurt - theoretically it doesn’t make a difference. My preference is for the fruity type. I hope that part of the fruity smell get in the buds. LOL. It make real difference in potency and how buds get wet and sticky.
@Med_in_Tropic,awesome med, and a happy new year to you too mate. Thanks as always for your advice. So you don’t reckon it’s the watering hey?? I think you are right about pheno for sure, you can see my first diary was also a Kalashnikova from the same order from greenhouse seeds,, and there are vast differences not only in colour, but also bud density and shape. I am feeding only organic bloom boost from bio canna, as this is for mid flowering onwards I am guessing it should be low nitrogen?? I am getting crispy tips on the leaves too so I think this usually means my feed is a tiny on the strong side but nothing to be too concerned as the rest seems really healthy. I would like to try the yoghurt. Is it pure / natural plain the best? Just mix 4 - 1 with water right? Cheers med
I think people mix in genetics and purposele mutate plants to suit main market in Europe. So with different environmental cues than what they were designed for, they behave weirdly. Flowering too fast is not bad.
Some vegged for three months at 12 hours. Most Just hermie.
@Shooey, just discovered concept of doubling chromosomes to get yield. If it is public now, it means the avant garde people had been doing this for a while.
This makes the variation bigger
Cheers.
@Med_in_Tropic, I think you are spot on med,, these commercial seeds are very sensitive. I even think further mutation with ruderalis (auto) has even more variables. Watching various diaries I notice a lot of differences in pheno’s, bud density and yields. All the best Med👍
@Med_in_Tropic, thanks Med👍 I have been a bit worried about this one but she seems to have picked up a lot in the last week. And thanks for your advice too. I did end up changing the water to filtered and started shading her after mid day, as I think it may have been some heat stress. Because I am force flowering by light deprivation each night, it is finishing flower in the hottest longest days of the year, probably not ideal but does help with the quicker harvest time,, I’m very happy about that😊
it's very interesting to watch your diary. I wish you a huge harvest of buds.
What do you prefer to use a Bong or a joint. 4-20 Bro.
subscribed and watching your grow.👍
@EZgrower, hi EZ,, thanks very much mate. I really appreciate the positive thoughts. I definitely prefer joints my friend. I really savour the taste and enjoy the time out for a few minutes, also after 20 odd years of smoking I can’t really handles the bongs anymore,, getting old I guess😃. I will keep up to date on your diaries from now on,, all the best bro👍
