Week 1 of flower on my Underground Originals #1 cuts in my converted wardrobe which is still a work in progress but the conditions are dialed in.
Both are in 19L Oxy-Pots and being fed Shogun Fertilisers which are working out great thus far.
They have been lightly pruned at the bottom 3rd and grown into a screen which is pretty much filled coming to the end of week 1.
I will completely remove every bit of growth below the canopy barring some leaves sometime between mid and end of week 2.
Just need a little more stretch out of these girls in week 2 which starts tomorrow then I'll fully trim underneath and they can concentrate on stacking up some juicy nugs.
Week 3 day 4 of flower.
Cut out pretty much all the lower growth, probably still a bit at the back end but I'll leave that and throw any popcorn in with the trim for hash after harvest.
Everything is A ok.
Not a single deficiency Of any sort so far the nutes are very impressive.
Fed them today with a strong 2.3 ec feed and monitoring closely to make sure they can handle it, if they lap it up then I'll give them 2.5 for week 4 before starting to bring it back down again to 1.8 then gradually lower each week till I hit 1.5 around week 8 at which point hopefully I will be ready to start flushing.
Happy with everything so far, canopy could be a little neater but with my busy life it will suffice, the main thing is I've got plenty of bud sites in the canopy so that's good.
Keep you posted have a blessed week
Hey everyone!
Week 4 day 5 of flower today and everything is looking good to my eyes what do you all think?
I certainly didn't chop out enough from the canopy and it's a little crammed but I'll live with it, don't want to stress them again at this point and the air flow is managing to penetrate through so should be ok.
Absolutely stinks already, my favourite to grow blue cheese variety Ugorg #1 never fails to stink out it's space. Currently getting a strong berry smell with a slight hint of cheese and it's such a tease given that it's only coming into week 5.
Thanks for looking in everyone, happy growing!!!
Week 5 day 6
All is well
The tops are starting to bulk up now so I've added some Tokyo's to support them and also to pull them inro their own spaces and allow more light penetration to the branches which I foolishly failed to trim away in first couple weeks.
I've lowered the EC to 1.8 which they will be on throughout week 6 and 7
Bud formations are starting to tighten up and swell so should hopefully have some nice long colas.
The smell wow, it's pungent, the cheese is really kicking the blueberries arse at this point, the berry is still there though adding a nice sweetness so it's a perfect ratio for me right now.
Can't wait till new year when this is curing, my tastebuds already tingling.
Week 6 Day 7 Flower
Incredibly cheesy in here now.
Nugs are still filling out and by the looks of it may want to crack on for a week longer, I was going to flush for 10 days from the start of week 9 but I may do it from start of week 10, time will tell!
@shogun if I want to add a week onto your hydro feed chart should I add another week after week 7 with bloom A&B plus additives or should I add a week after week 8 on Dragon Force only?
Week 7 Day 6
Cocked up, didn't check in on them much this week life got in the way and therefore never topped up the tanks with fresh water to keep nutes diluted!
The plants happy with their fill of minerals just took the h2o and the EC went off the chart. (This is me summising without scientific backup, sure one of you smarter members will hopefully straighten me out)
They suffered some burn and I reckon I maybe shocked them back a week, a few crispy leaves and not massive gains this week but the nugs still slowly tightening up so still smiling.
I've been pushing the highest end of the recommended EC guide but that just means less margin for error if my theory above is correct they stop feeding when they are full so I'm going to start shooting in the middle between highest and lowest so I don't have to dilute as often.
Thanks for looking in fam!
Week 8 Day 5
Hello GD Fam 🖐️🏻
Plants are looking SWELL
They have packed on a lot of weight and some pistils are turning but there is still a lot of new white pistils.
Trichs are still pretty clear too.
Was going to use Dragon Force in week 9 and flush with plain water for week 10 but now I'm wondering whether to push an extra week through them, what do you think GD community?
How do you all predict when to prepare for flush?
I find it difficult, it's easy enough to spot a plant that's ready based on trichs and pistils etc but how do you predict it 2 weeks early to know when to start using your final additives followed by just water in the final week?
I know dragon force and similar products push the plant to do so but if I can get more weeks out of a plant then I shouldn't I do so for a benefit to yield?
Especially interested in @SHOGUN opinion if they have a little time spare 😁
As you can see in the pics peeps I've caught the spirit of Christmas and decorated my grow space for the competition Xmas Grow:showman:️
Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas 🎅
Hope you like the video I made I'm pretty happy with the results considering I've got zero experience of decorating and video photography/direction or any photography for that matter 😂
Week 9 Day 6 Flower
Buds are packing on weight and stinking more than ever.
I've got quite a lot off popcorn and medium sized buds as a result of not chopping enough away from below canopy earlier on but tbf even most of them are weighty.
I'm going to flush out the systems tomorrow and add fresh water only with the intention to chop them 7-10 days from now!
They smell very hashy right now with berry undertones, the cheese kinda murged with the hash smell, very pungent, can't wait to smell and taste the dried cured end product
Very good social smoke, quick setting buzz high which eases into stoned. Berry inhale with cheese exhale. Somewhat trippy. Very good yielder, nugs aren't that dense but there are so many buddies that you still end up making decent weight ins. She's a stinky plant and very flavoursome. Highly recommend, I've had better phenos than this before too purple sticky monster pheno but I lost it ☹️
Overall I'm very happy with everything from beginning and although I had a couple hiccups it turned good in the end.
Ugorg #1 grows very fast and has so many bud sites, add Shogun Geisha Collar spray into the mix and you have a bush on your hands. Pleasure to grow, perfect for topping and scrogging, just make sure you are ruthless with shaving the undergrowth off for the first 3-4 weeks of flower, I left too much on and got a lot of light bud which could of been added weight to the tops. Not overly fussed though I still got 10 and half oz from 2 plants in a 0.4 meter squared wardrobe under 400w, which by the way I calculate at 0.76gpw not 0.38 as @grow.diaries 6179
@Ripper, appreciated thanks. Gonna most likely be in another 3 weeks yet hopefully including flush so we will see if we can stack them and swell them more! Fingers crossed
@SHOGUN, all done 15 litres of water per plant containing 1ml per litre of Sumo Boost and 4ml of Dragon Force.
EC 1.3
PH naturally fell to 5.7-5.8
Very happy not to have to mess around with a ph pen and ph down.
I can see the finish line
@biggreens420,I’m nervous green my baby’s I do t want to damage them all the buds connecting up on branches I got all decorations ready stockings lights hats tinsel more then I need but I’m unsure what to do now why don’t you come on kik download it to your phone if you can and chat with everyone
@SHOGUN, thanks it's great to have so much help and support from you, not only do you have an amazing product range but you have second to none customer service too.
@biggreens420@Fire_Farmer Epic job again with our nutes! The Active Boost and Original Boost have extremely similar active ingredient profiles. The difference is in the formulation chemistry really - Active Boost has been designed as an emulsion to massively increase the products longevity in nutrient tanks or active hydroponics/irrigation systems. If you are hand watering and are using your mixed nutes within 24 hours then the original sumo is absolutely fine (as you can tell!). Active Really comes into its own when you are mixing larger volumes that are going to stand for a few days. It also has a slightly different amino profile but I doubt there would be many people who would be able to discern a performance difference!
@Fire_Farmer, completely understand. I ran co2 via fermentation in a 2x2 and the article I read said it should be good for 1000ppm. I chose to go with that even though it was probably +/- 400. I absolutely could see the accelerated growth.
@Tazard,honestly bro it's a bit misleading. I don't have anything to measure co2 I only have a bag in there. No idea what the levels are probably not much. It's definitely something I'm thinking about doing with a tank and controller though not in this cupboard setup, in my larger setup seen in my other diary.
@biggreens420, yeah you are correct I should do really regardless to help strengthen the stems up for carrying the weight of the buds. Thanks again for looking in, nice to know there's more than one set of eyes on it.
Nice grow bro I hope you liked the oxypots , if you put something under them to lift up a little I reckon you could empty the reservoir with the pipe easily , ( if you scrog again )
@BigDaddyK, that's actually a top tip thanks. Simple yet I overlooked it. And yes I love the oxypots they are so easy to use and have great results. Thanks bro 😁
@biggreens420, thanks for the look in. I'm actually a bit of a scrooge but I had fun decorating my grow so I guess Grow Diaries could be considered my ghost of Christmas past, present and future as I am feeling reformed 🎅
@Fire_Farmer looking at your pics and the fade you are already getting on those top leaves, I would say that its time for Dragon Force now. Like I said before, the way this works is like a bit of a signal to your plant to finish up and your plants look ready. Nice decs btw... 👊
@SHOGUN, Thanks so much for your input fills me with confidence I will drain the tanks now and switch to Dragon Force.
Is it of benefit to me to add sumo boost also?
@Fire_Farmer if you want to add an extra week, add the week without Dragon Force. The way Dragon Force works is to send a kind of nutritional death signal to the plant that stimulates it into a final little push. Once you've started using it you're basically on your way to the end!
@SHOGUN, thanks again as always for swift replies. It's good to understand how our nutrients work rather than just following a plan we know works without understanding it. The advice above is crucial thanks again.
@BiggestLittleGrower, thanks bro and thanks for looking in, im always open to suggestions and advice so the more of you I can get observing the better.
@biggreens420, yeah thanks, I got a full canopy, couple thinner areas than others but nothing major and should probably have chopped out a little more underneath, other than that I'm very happy with the progress so far.
Starting to get terpy in there now too, yum yum!
@biggreens420, thanks for support, I'm happy with the results. I've just put 2 humboldt chocolate mint og seedlings I nto the same setup. What strain you running in yours?
