My maid is taking care of my grow for this week’s submission - I am away on a trip. Giving them their first feed as I think they look a little hungry sense transplant last week. Chemdog looks like it has the worst deficiency. (It’s hard working with maid from afar to really see what’s happening day to day) Black Kush looking the happiest

@Kid_Colombia,There are some good products to cope with heat for the plants . chill is one I can think of by vitalink I think. I used a product called " Liquid Ice" that was excellent too but not sure about availability for Columbia. You will without doubt need some extra co2 in there to help them out too. Again there are products available to use that do it for a fairly low cost " exhale " is one in mu room hanging between the lights and drops onto the canopy directly. If you check out the vid on my last update regarding insulation bubble wrap too , it can help keep outside heated air fornthe room and also help keep the temp inside more stable once you get it down a little. There are some very good d.i.y aircon ideas for this situation but one I like uses polystyrene fish boxes , ice and small fan to push cold , damp air into over hot rooms. have a look through these ideas here: https://www.popularmechanics.com/home/interior-projects/how-to/g2632/diy-air-conditioner/ very simple but ideal for our sized rooms too. good luck

@underfunded, thanks man. Yeah it’s hard to manage the temps because I’m based in a warm country (Colombia) and I don’t have any AC in my place so I’m worried that when I put my two solarxtreme 500 in there that it will be way to warm

Interesting to see more colleagues from the Colombian community making their diaries! Many successes in this grow, you will have a good job ahead, I hope that the green crack germinates soon. Nowadays I'm growing too if you want to check my babies. Liked and following

Kid_Colombiacommented5 years ago
@Chocolates1390, sadly enough the Green Crack From Blimburn seed did not sprout, and it looked like the healthiest seed but that’s the way it goes I guess. Yeah great to see Colombia popping up on the website. A lot of great growers here

Thanks for the interest in my grows. If you have any specific questions just let me know. Your plants look like they're doing fine. You might wanna invest in some training wire and start LST the tops to expose more nodes and the inner part of plant to the light. My only advice as of right now. Also I like to give them some super thrive when I transplant it just gives them a little boost in my opinion. Good luck on your grow.

Kid_Colombiacommented5 years ago
@wawasgarden, awesome man. I really appreciate you taking the time for the tips. I’m home in 2-3 days and getting into LST that night.
wawasgarden
wawasgardencommented5 years ago
@Kid_Colombia,maybe look into super cropping soon I don't know how much room you have. Something to think about
wawasgarden
wawasgardencommented5 years ago
@Kid_Colombia, it won't make too much of a difference because they're photoperiod so your controlling when they go into flower. If you ever attempt to grow autoflowers you should start training as soon as possible. The sooner you start training a plant the softer the branches are and the more the plant will accept the shaping of it's structure.

It's looking good my friend, now she will grow nice and open allowing more light to the nodes. You may find that you have to adjust tie downs or reconfigure them as your plants begin to stretch and get taller but it looks good so far.👌
wawasgarden
wawasgardencommented5 years ago
@Kid_Colombia, no that will be fine you can lst at any point in the plants life cycle, it just makes it easier to train and direct branches while they're thinner and easier to bend but you can lst throughout a plants life. Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Good luck and happy growing

@wawasgarden, I’ve been away since I’ve done this and basically missing 2 weeks, do you think its to late to LST in week 8?

Looking great in the Farm mate. nice job. what's in your soil to date ?.
Ganjagrandaddy
Ganjagrandaddycommented5 years ago
@Kid_Colombia,They look good and would be ok to feed a mild feed to start. Ph is very Important to get right too. It will allow the various combinations of ions in your salt based nutes to seperate from their compound and be used by the roots. Each compound has a slightly different "seperation" point within the ph range of 5.7-6.5 so ideally in soil ,if you keep it between these values, then you will avoid any deficiencies. If you know it is in range then monitoring issues becomes hell of a lot easier. too pale=more feed dark green shiny = less feed. If your using Led , it is a good idea to keep a stock of calmag handy. the lights can leech both from the leaves and create issue so best to be ready for it than chasing after a resolve. Looks like the maid kept them happy.
Kid_Colombia
Kid_Colombiacommented5 years ago
@Ganjagrandaddy, it’s a premixed soil from the local grow shop so I’m not exactly sure. It has bat guano, humus, but it seems to be really light on any nutrients. The plants are in week 4 and showing some deficiencies so am now going to start feeding

@hashy, yeah let’s hope there is enough room. It’s 4x4 room, is that good?
Bashgrowsitall1989
Bashgrowsitall1989commentedweek 25 years ago
Hows it going Kid - Thanks for a great comment you left. You haven't listed the temperatures of you're substrate/ feed temperature. You need too be heating the feed water up too a couple of degrees below the grow rooms temp so you dont shock the roots when feeding. Substrate temps matter too because if the plants roots get cold the then it wont grow. A Pro grower once told me, no one likes cold feet, applies too plants just as it does to us. Good luck and drop me a message if you need any help
Bashgrowsitall1989
Bashgrowsitall1989commented5 years ago
@Kid_Colombia, I'm running around 28c at the top of my colas and the plants are loving this. Use a normal thermometer too test soil temps, same for water, go about 23 24c for water, not too warm but warm enough you wont shock the roots. Hope this helps
Kid_Colombia
Kid_Colombiacommented5 years ago
@Bashgrowsitall1989, great advice!! What is it you use to check soil temp ? And how do you warm your water? I’m based in Colombia so my temperatures don’t really get cold here. I’m worried if I put a floor heater my room will be to warm

ZeroProcommentedweek 45 years ago
Don't want to scare you or anything, but they seem to have heavy nutrient deficiency, the bottom leaves turned yellow way to fast and the middle ones already have yellow spots. Your ph is good (wrong ph also prevents nuts to be absorbed), what kind of water do you use? even if you use tap water make sure to filter it, the bleach in it can cause massive problems. Is your soil a light mix, heavy mix? or do you remember de PKN values from it? And i'm not sure about your grow nutrients, will have to research them...
Kid_Colombia
Kid_Colombiacommented5 years ago
@ZeroPro, yeah i totally agree. The soil is a lot lighter than i thought, i figured i could get through first few weeks with water only like i use to back in the day. Im in Amsterdam at the moment and plant to bring back Advanced Nutrients Iguana and a few other nutes im comfortable with.

Waw have an incredible appearance. The truth is that you notice the 24 hours of light that you are giving but a question, never rest? I want to return I have heard from 24-24-24- (from 3 to 5 off). but I'm very interested to see how your plants follow with that method I will also be attentive.
Kid_Colombia
Kid_Colombiacommented5 years ago
@Tenerife92, yeah i usually do 24h for first 4 weeks. They seem to like it and it’s just how I was taught. I’ll keep you posted. Good job again on yours
