Bought the Raspberry Cough’s and got the Three Blue Kings as a freebie
I germed and planted 2 Raspberry Coughs and the Three Blue Kings seed with another Mt.Rainier seed and they all popped soil a few days later, my second grow begins!
Had a bit of yellowing in the earlier weeks, sorted with a light dose of fish fertilizer and calmag, waiting until i get a few more nodes before I start messing with training.
I topped both Raspberry Cough plants and Fimmed the Three Blue Kings at the end of last week, Raspberry Coughs didn’t slow down one bit and quickly sprouted two new main tops and filled in alot on the sides while the Three Blue Kings plant didn’t seem to respond well to the FIM and went insta droop for a day or two and then started to spout three new main tops with side branches also beginning to shoot up into the canopy.
My Mt.Rainier/Squatchberry plant was a very slow starter in the early weeks but is really catching up to the others now, i’ll likely top or fim that one next week when she has 6 nodes. All going well now, plants look alot darker in person as my room lights are kind of yellowish affecting the pics I took. Happy Growing!
I began the week with some LST on all of the main branches which made the 2 cross shaped Raspberry Cough plants explode with new growth causing me to transplant them into 4 gallon pots to give them more room to stretch, they were just becoming rootbound at time of transplant, lots of new growth and amazing response to training. Nothing seems to slow them down.
I fimmed Three Blue Kings last week and bent the whole main stock to the side this week resulting in 6 tops all from the main top so after a few days I twisted the main stem into sort of a corkscrew which centered the tops much better for easier training once they shoot out a bit more, Seems to be responding well to LST now after really slowing down after fimming, Three Blue Kings will be getting a transplant very soon.
I also bent the main stock over on the Mt.Rainier/Squatchberry gal which she responded to well and started putting out new tops to immediately, this one has very thick kind of odd shaped leaves and being an indica dominant hybrid she’s quite bushy, just really starting to take off, i also transplanted this gal to give her more room.
My grow closet is really starting to smell nice with that leafy green weed veg smell, always a nice surprise when that stank hits your nose when you check on the ladies, thinking these plants are gonna reek like mad during flowering.
All going great so far with this grow, gonna give em a few weeks to all stretch out and see if they’re ready to flip around early January. Happy Growing!
Monday week 6- Been giving the ladies a few easy days since transplanting last wednesday.
Both Raspberry Coughs continue to focus energy on making plenty of new tops as they’re both tied down in a cross pattern, thinking of defoliating them a bit soon.
Mt.Rainier is slowly making new tops and turning into a little bush, it’s the smallest of the bunch now.
Three Blue Kings went into a 5 gallon ice cream bucket drilled with drainage holes last wednesday night and has since taken off producing more growth than the other 3 plants for the week with plenty of new tops stretching out from the fimming in week 3, think this one might turn into a nice big girl for me
Wed December 25- Merry Christmas fellow growers! Gave the ladies a Christmas drink upping their dose of Florabloom to the full recommended veg dose, all happy in the grow room.
The girls are just breezing through veg now, i want to finish them in the pots I just transplanted them to a week and a half ago so I’m thinking about flipping them to flower now. Kinda wish I had bigger pots so I could veg a few more weeks then transplant for the finish, as is they should fill the grow space nicely after the flowering stretch takes over. Dunno if I should go a few more days or not, they’re all are growing the sixth node on all new grow now so i’m in the window I think.
I actually untied the smaller raspberries as the branches are pretty much solidified and staying the shape I trained them into. The larger one just keeps bushing out more.
Wish I would’ve topped the Mt. Rainier but I left that one uncut and only did some minor lst just experimenting. She’s bushing up nicely too and staying short being mostly indica.
Three Blue Kings is pretty much the reason I’m questioning flowering now because all of her tops are stretching like mad daily and I could see this one getting out of hand easily.
Another good week with no issues in the grow room. Happy Growing!
It’s week 8, my weeks have been going saturday to saturday since popping these seeds so i’m gonna try to keep updates to the weekends. I decided to flip into flower now after 7 weeks of veg so I can finish in the pots they’re in now. They won’t be monsters but if I pull an oz/plant or more I’ll be happy and i’m thinking they should as they’re larger than my first run was when I flipped them, we’ll see how that all works out...........
I’m slightly disappointed I made a noob error upon realizing that I have been running this whole grow on a 16/8 light schedule instead of the 18/6 I intended for, i made a dumbassed stoner noob mistake programming the light timer,so likely lost a good amount of gains in the early weeks of veg BUT 16/8 did seem to work out fine otherwise
I snipped a few tops on the Rasps and Mt. Rainier at the start of last week and let them come back in for the whole week before deciding to flip.
Mt. Rainier is also showing a few female pre flowers now which is perfect because this plant came from one of my Rainier girls last grow shooting up some bananas and making stress seeds in the lower buds towards the end of the grow, figured I’ll keep the seed and see if I can get some more of that super frosty dank sasquatch weed in future grows.....
Stoked to watch these babies flower over the next 9-11 weeks, Thanks for lookin!
Not much to say for the start of week 2 of flowering. Seemed like the plants all took a few days to adjust early in the week and started to stretch alot around wednesday/thursday. They’re putting on a few inches daily now, retied some of the Raspberry Cough branches to let the light get into the canopy more. Three Blue Kings is gonna need a trim soon to stop her from bullying light away from the smaller plants. Can’t wait to see those lil buds start poppin...
Day 14 of flower Week 10 day 1
All of the ladies are just starting to develop visible buds over the last few days. Three Blue Kings is still stretching like mad and Mt.Rainier has stretched itself into the second largest plant of the 4. Raspberry Coughs have bushed up more than anything but they also have the most lst ties going on.
Did some minor defol removing all the lower under growth to open up the bottoms for air movement and took some big hand sized fan leaves off of the Three Blue Kings to stop her from being such a light bully to the others.
I’m wishing i had used Boosterjuice buckets for all 4 girls instead of just the Three Blue Kings, they take up a smaller footprint in the grow space but they’re taller than my planter pots and hold quite a bit more soil. I’m seriously impressed with how the Three Blue Kings is doing in these buckets, next grow will be all Boosterjuice buckets 100%
Another great week in the grow closet, thanks for looking!
It’s the beginning of week 4 and we have lots of tops popping now, just starting to get real fun seeing them put on daily gains, did some more minor defol on all of the girls, think this will be their last full dose of the N rich Alaska Fish fertilizer, they’re all starting to drink more than ever and seem to be done stretching now with the focus going towards bud production. Smelling nice in the grow room. Noticed they’re a little pale so I think i’ll hit them with a shot of calmag with their next feeding. Another decent week in the grow closet of Doom.
Dropped the Alaska Fish ferts and hit them with some calmag with last feeding, lots of swelling this last week, Three Blue Kings smells like Juicy Fruit gum right now and Raspberry Cough has a black licorice smell going on, all plants are still shooting out flower sites and swelling up alot now. The end is in sight, can’t wait to see how they fatten up over the next 5-6 weeks.
And another good week in the grow closet, Three Blue Kings and the Raspberry Cough gals are all starting to blow up with trichs now and pistils are just barely starting to turn orange as well, smelling delicious and looking nicer by the day at this point. Did some more minor defol on all of em, gonna let them dry out quite a bit this week and then hit them with some beastie blooms for week 7 and 8 before starting the flush in 9 and 10.
Early Week 7 Day 45
Gave the girls a flush week for most of week 6 to prep them for being hit with Beastie Bloomz and Overdrive for the next two weeks alongside their regular Flora Bloom and molasses feedings.
My Mt.Rainier girl has been going quite light lime colored for the last little while but I’m sure she’s fully root bound and should’ve been transplanted for flowering.
The Raspberry Coughs are healthy as could be in their smaller sized containers and are making pretty much full branches of bud that I can tell now will be covered in bright red hairs across the whole lil bonsai style plants.
Three Blue Kings has been doing nothing but stacking on weight and an impressively heavy frost of trichomes this last week so much so that during the week of flushing she started turning a bit lime on old fans which seemed to be the plant feeding off it’s on nutrient stores, i finally hit them all with their first feed of the final nutrient regime which instantly stopped the lightening on the 3BK, 3BK’s juicy fruit gum smell started to go more citrus around day 40 and just in the last 2 days since day 43 the whole grow has began to really smell dank overall, should be cutting within the next 3 weeks, can’t wait!
Day 53 Week 8
Coming into the home stretch now, all strains are 63-70 day strains so it won’t be long now. Pistils are all going orange and retracting into the bud yet they’re still shooting a few new ones too and i gotta say the weight stack since hitting them with the Beastie Bloomz and Overdrive has been impressive to watch over this last week.
Looking at the buds through the loupe shows about 80-90% cloudy trichomes on all plants with some just starting to go amber. They all smell unreal now and my house is stankin, Three Blue Kings’ smell switched again from pure orange peel to more of like a bowl of mixed cut up tropical fruit, oranges, pineapple, mango would probably be the best way to describe it, like tropical candy or something. Raspberry Cough plants smell spicy and dank with a berry tone hiding underneath the initial dankness, Mt. Rainier smells earthy woody and dank.
I’m dying to cut them but they definitely aren’t quite ready yet but oh so close. Can’t wait to have my second full grow under my belt and finished here on GD so I can enjoy these beautiful looking and smelling girls and get onto the next run.
Day 59- Early week 9
Thinking this could be harvest week, buds are swollen, smelling phenomenal, looking great, Three Blue Kings is getting all kinds of fall color now and losing some fans, got about 5-10% amber trichs now so it’s up to the plants now to decide when it’s time. Gonna let em get somewhere around 30-50% amber, growing in my basement closet has brought out color potential from every plant I’ve grown so far with potential to show colors. Gets to 18 degrees celcius overnight which seems to be perfect for colors, Raspberry Coughs likely don’t have purple potential as they’ve just stayed dark and healthy looking but Three Blue Kings is making all sorts of pink on the sugar leaf in the final days before the cut, always amazing to watch them finish like this. I’m watching the trichs very closely everyday and will harvest as soon as they’re ready, hopefully this weekend if I’m lucky but I have no problem letting them go as long as they need to get where I want em, this run has been a blast!
Day 64
Been flushing the girls for a week and a half now, Both Raspberry Coughs are the last plants to start dulling in colors as the flush has them taking nutes from the fans now for the finish, still smelling dank and spicy with a hint of berry, the taller one smells more dank and is more orange than the shorter one while both have stacked trichs in the last 3 weeks heavily. They had me thinking they weren’t gonna be very frosty for the first half of flowering but looking great near the end
Mt. Rainier is a rough looking plant and really needed a transplant before flowering, she’s all choked up and orootbound and started looking rough early into flowering but the bud this one did produce is looking and smelling very impressive in the end, i took a sample cut a few days ago and for being a quick dried sample cut she’s impressive, a completely different pheno than the mother plant i did last grow, much more dank smelling but there’s an odd sweetness to this cut as well that seedfinder.eu describes as “cereal milk” that wasn’t there in the first one I grew. Looks just the same as the mother buds though, i’m really interested to see how this one dries and cures when finished properly and can’t wait to get some more of the Rainier seeds into some soil.
Three Blue Kings has been an amazing plant to watch grow from the get go, i’ve never smelled this type of tropical candy terps in anything i’ve smoked before and the colors she’s put on going for the finish has been beautiful to see and photograph, she’s super frosty and has swelled up impressively in the last few weeks, I can tell she’s gonna be a treat that I’ll likely want to grow again in the future.
Run #2 will be starting to come down over the next few days and despite some mistakes i’ve learned from I couldn’t be happier again with this run. Just more knowledge for the next one and I’ll soon be enjoying the rewards of growing this amazing plant.
Day 67- trichs are where I wanted them to be so I cut em all down today. I’ll post the harvest reports after they dry, stay tuned for my next run.
This is a new pheno for me being only the second Rainier plant i’ve harvested and an S1 seed from the original plant that I did in my first run, It’s a better pheno than the earthy, gassy, pine needle terped mother which I loved but this one just tastes sweeter and is overall more rounded terp wise for taste and scent. It’s still earthy and gassy but with a hint of lime and what seedfinder.eu describes as a cereal milk terp, same balanced hybrid high perfect for any time of the day like the mother was. Can’t wait to work with more Rainier plants after finding this gem pheno.
I quickly realized after Three Blue Kings forced me to flip that i had been running 14/8 light cycle instead of 18/6 I intended and that this gal needed a bigger pot to finish in, this one got very sickly early in flowering and I just let it go as all the others were fine. Ended up finishing and giving me a bit more than a half bag of too shelf bud but I realized upon harvesting that the jiffy cups I planted them in only choked up my plants bigtime specifically this Rainier girl. In the end I still found a new very impressive pheno that I can’t wait to hunt from the pile of Mt Rainier seed I still have left to play with. Luckily nothing else was as choked off and unhealthy as the Rainier was this run, all in all i’m happy just from the learning experiences I gained this time. Jiffy pots will be cut or removed in future grows. Can’t wait to get this pheno again in a much healthier plant with these mistakes corrected, gonna enjoy this lil cut I got from Mt. Rainier #2 happy growing y’all
Raspberry Cough isn’t nearly as harsh as the name would have you think, I got 2 different phenos in my grow, they’re both spicy smelling with notes of berries but one is much stronger on the berry terp and brighter red than the other. Sort of have a light black licorice spicy taste and smell I find. Definitely leans more sativa on the buzz, very good daytime smoke, gets quite heady after a few puffs. Pretty potent stuff hits ya like a solid 18-20% thc sativa.
These were the easiest and healthiest plants this run, only thing I did wrong with them was 14/8 light schedule and they needed bigger pots for flowering as well, they got choked up in their jiffy pot seedling planters as well but never showed any stress from it they just stayed quite abit smaller than they really could’ve gotten. All in all great easy to grow plants by Nirvana here. I still have 3 seeds left so I’ll likely be running these this summer without the mistakes I made this run, they made some phenomenal sativa leaning smoke I must say, can’t wait to get a few more weeks cure on them because they smell quite nice now after only a few days. I’ll be back running another diary on this one for sure. Was a pleasure to grow.
Three Blue Kings (Blue Dream x Three Kings) is definitely more of an indica leaning high that will hit ya with the couch lock laziness pretty quick, great for chilling out at night leading you to a heavy deep sleep, smells unreal like tropical candy and tastes kind of earthy and sort of like a peach air freshener after 2 weeks curing, thinking these nugs will only taste better with time. This one’s been an absolute treat to grow and I think I want to run it again soon...👌
Three Blue Kings started off slow but quickly took over as the queen of this grow, i topped the other plants but only trained and fimmed 3BK and it was after fimming that she split off into 6 mains and just went bonkers stretching in every direction, she actually forced me to flip the whole grow while the others could’ve used another 2-3 weeks veg but what a beast this strain was to watch grow. Smelled amazing from early on straight to finish and gave me no real problems. Think I want to run this delicious beauty again very soon, very impressed.
