My soil was hotter than I wanted, so I did a flush. Once the soil dried a bit, I topped them all, and did another light flush. One was stressed pretty good, but she’s recovering now.

What nutrients would you recommend for this grow? I still have some @foxfarms combo nutes. This is all about trying everything until I find what’s best for me. We have a massive amount of knowledge on this site, and I trust growers more than anyone. Thanks in advance.

I love the GHE maxigro and maxibloom. They are cheap, simple, hold steady pH, and they are true "stand alone" nutrients. They perform well without any boosters. They work great in soil and hydro.

What did I do wrong here. These girls are growing slow. They were slow before I topped them, which I know I messed up there. But there’s not much going on. They look healthy just sooo slow growing. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this? Or just wait and see what happens?

hey there, the growth rate is determined by VPD, right now you're in a seaside climate and instead you should be at coastal mountain climate. Reduce temps by a degree or so, humidity you're good but it's okay a few points higher too, reduce your solution temperature to a cool 20 and get the substrate a bit cooler too : something like 22/23. These little shift will really help especially if you put them together. BTW i'm seeing some magnesium issues as well : never grow without cal mag, even in soil ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

hey man , start using a chelation agent like humic acid your plants will start beasting (btw you can start using that humic acid early on too)
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrowcommented5 years ago
@WildeWeed, you need three things : NPK + calmag (micro) + chelation agent (eg. humic acid) the last two start early on and remain constant, the NPK ratios change over time. three things, not infinity things 😉

@CRiSPrGrow, Oh yet another thing to add. It’s never ending! Lol

your main problem is you need to keep the root zone cooler, like 20°C

Just keep exercising patience, WildeWeed. You gave the hot soil at the critical stage so it will take longer to bounce back. You also only flushed last week, so it will take a multitude of flushing if its the dry amendment in the soil before you really start to irrigate it out of the soil. Until that happens, things will be slower. Also, having such overwatered soil from the flushing is also going to hold you back for a short time. Keep the water coming until you start to see solid relief and growth explosion. Because of the extra nitrogen you are going to have a bushy monster with tons of excess leaf vegetation. At some point you could consider defoliation to clean things up. Not time to panic, things look fine WildeWeed! 👍🏻

@CRiSPrGrow, Well I’m just in a 2x4 tent. So 3 was my magic number. But if the 4th woulda took, I woulda gave it a good home. I’m starting to learn less is more sometimes.

@WildeWeed, dude just pop another seed if you want another plant, always germinate more than you keep right?
WildeWeed
WildeWeedcommented5 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, For once timing was on my side. I started 4, however one of the babies never broke soil. So 3 plants this go round.

@@HiddenColorado, It really is a delicious strain. Sweet, but not over powering. Great high. I’ll surely be growing this one again in hydro in the near future.

I'm running a pretty detailed nutrient schedule with details in first weeks of grows, but in hydro. Greenhouse Seed company of Strain Hunters fame has some great nutrient charts on their websites that give weekly suggestions.

I just wanted to add that I find Autos get fert. burn pretty easily. I may fert. Once in veg. at 1/2 strength and maybe 3 times in bloom. Fried my leaves on first auto attempt. I never go more then 1/2 suggested fert. amount.

Autos are like that, they start slow and make you think something is wrong and then ... BOOM ... They start growing and won't stop! Good luck with the rest of your grow my friend.
