After years of pissing about with local clones from shitty genetics we decided to stump up some decent cash and have a crack at growing something proper. Ordered a pack of Platinum Gelato from overseas (got the last pack) and got x3 Garlic Sherbert as freebies (see other diary). Ended up with 7 from 9 I popped. I had a few issues the first week or 2 due to over watering but once I addressed that they started booming
As soon as they got to 4 nodes so i had 8 good new shoots showing i bent the main stem over and secured into the coco by making walking stick shapes out of coated garden wire
I topped the main stem when it reached the edge of the pot and started training the 2 new tops around the edge of the pot. The aim is to get all the stems to stretch beyond the pot to allow all the new growth inside to catch up and become big stems
Plant size is now about 1m in diameter and I'm running out of room so nows the time to spin these beauties. Before that though they had a good old defoliation and lollipopping. They've been showing signs of purple all through veg so I'm hoping for some nice colours. I started adding Flower burst in the last week of veg. First time using these flowering nutes so interested to see the results
Defoliated again on day 30 to allow light go penetrate all the way through the plant. Hairs have started browning off, some look to be finishing quicker than the others
3 or 4 of these are deffo gonna be fished in 8 weeks. Most of the hairs are browning off and the buds are THE frostiest I have EVER seen!! Started to see some pink/purple coming through so I dropped the temps slightly so it was 25.8C in the day and 20.5C at night
Wow! The colours really started busting through since I dropped the temps. Started giving them just water now for a week then I'll run about 75l of water through each one. I'm gonna struggle to pick a pheno from these! I might have to keep a couple! 😁
Cracked 9 of these beans and ran 7 in the end. On just looks and smell alone its nigh on impossible to choose one. Every one of them's a keeper in it's own right. I'm hoping that one tastes fire to help me decide. Deffo buying from In House again!
